The defending World Cup Series champion from last year then, Luik Bruni, fastest on the
fast bits in that qualifier and a man you know that needs to want to settle the score
before this season's over.
This is his last time, last chance Saloon.
Oh inside, nice one and you know he's not going to let that win go without a big, big
fight.
This, I think, is probably the most committed rider of today's race because he doesn't have
a win yet this year.
He's been close, second at round two, third here on Friday, but as he says himself, perhaps
something just lacking for Luik Bruni this year.
The spark he needs though seems to be back.
Nice through that left, took his time getting into it, fast out, that's what counts.
Might be a little bit, maybe, what is it?
It's going to be close, 0.29 back then, just over a quarter of a second for Luik Bruni to find.
Yes, that means nothing so far, everything is possible.
We know that Greg did not have the smoothest of all runs down there at the bottom.
Bruni on the inside on that long right into that root section.
What's this speed?
0.3 then, he loses.
Losing some.
Losing points, around, yeah, around 0.2 just less to Greg Minnaar.
Oh, well he was fast around there, didn't need to get his foot to the ground.
Oh, OK.
The gap stays the same.
We have two tenths, two tenths that's left for the pedalling and we know...
Is he going to adjust something on his bike here?
We saw it on Friday.
Again, maybe.
On that fork leg he reached down, he does it again.
Yes, he's reaching down.
He didn't twist anything, there's a switch or something on there, we don't know what it does.
I can only imagine it's something to do with the compression settings, maybe.
Make that bike pedal better, who knows.
Can he pedal stronger than Greg Minnaar?
It's almost impossible, but let's see if he can do it.
It's a drag race then for the win here.
Oh, by a tenth!
Back on the clock, back on the track.
Is Bruni going to win 2020 with a World Cup win?
Vendee series champion, sending it out there.
Nice one, but these last couple of twists must be ridden perfectly if he wants to take the win.
Carries huge speed off that hip, goes massive on that leg.
Who's going to get it?
Is it going to be Bruni or is it going to be...
He takes the win!
0.17!
He takes the win here in the last race of the year.
Unbelievable.
Against all the odds and look what it means to Bruni.
That's why he races mountain bikes.
Incredible stuff.
What a race.
