Welcome back to our Budapest adventure. If you missed part one don't worry,
today we're diving straight into one of Budapest's crown jewels, Buda Castle. I ended the last vlog
in the castle district which is one of the most beautiful areas I have ever visited in Europe
and just look at these amazing views the castle has over the Danube River. Keep watching to find
out why Budapest didn't shape up to be the perfect Christmas trip we had expected.
been here for a day and an evening. Got my whipped cream, mum's got hot chocolate too.
This is really nice, I like it. It's not that busy down here. They're passing through,
they're not joining us on the bench for hot chocolate. So it's now the evening,
we're back in the room, we got ready again, freshened up and we are going out tonight to
have dinner on the Danube River which is going to be really really nice.
So we freshened up, we've got changed and we're heading back out over to the riverboat. I have
got my lovely Ana Luisa jewellery on still and yeah this is outfit for the evening with my boots.
We will show you guys the riverboat dinner and we will review and let you guys know the price
and whether we recommend it at the end of it. Not gonna lie, I just had a little power nap
to get me through this evening and now I feel a lot better so yeah on those city breaks I highly
recommend power naps. 20 minutes, 30 minutes, no more than 30 minutes otherwise you'll be too tired
but that is my top advice for those city breaks.
So the boat is behind us, we booked this dinner river cruise via Get Your Guide which is like an
online website slash app and it was about 65 pounds each but it's apparently four courses,
it's a two-hour river cruise and there's live music which mum is really looking forward to.
So yeah let's see how it is, I think 65 pounds fine like if it was any more than that I would
be a bit, it's a bit expensive but I think for everything we're getting, what do you think?
Yeah it's so right, it's not bad. Anyway who cares you're on holiday.
Mum's like I don't care about money when I'm away, if only that was the case, if only we had
unlimited money. Anyway it looks like people are queuing to get on. It's not too cold still is it?
No it's quite warm.
So it's the next day, we didn't get a chance to review the dinner river cruise last night because
it was quite late when it finished and then we got a taxi back to the hotel but I would highly
recommend the dinner river cruise. I left a five star review, it was so organised, the food was
10 out of 10. It was a four course menu which I did include, I took a footage of it for the video
and yeah they had Hungarian dancing, there was Hungarian music, it was a lovely experience and
we went past the parliament building about five times but no it was really really nice and it's
now the next day. We went to the thermal baths this morning which is a really cool experience
and I will put the footage in as well from the thermal baths and we just had lunch then we're
going to head over to the main square's Christmas markets which I'm really excited for and no doubt
me and mum are going to end up buying some more, some more Christmas gifts. Over and out.
At the start of this vlog I said that this trip didn't quite shape up to the perfect Christmas
break we expected and the only reason for this and it's so sad because I absolutely loved Budapest
but I'm sorry vorosmarty square let Budapest down for Christmas. We came to Budapest, we read that
vorosmarty square was one of the best Christmas markets in Europe and we just did not agree.
It was fine, there was like food there, there were a few stalls but I would personally definitely not
recommend vorosmarty square as a Christmas market destination. However, since Stephen's Basilica
made up for the letdown because it was so nice over there and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
This is actually like from a horror movie
what on earth. So if you're coming here around Christmas they do have like a few different
Christmas markets and different places with like the wooden lodges which is really nice but don't
follow what it says online that the vorosmarty square Christmas market is the best one because
we did not find that but anyway we've had a great time in Budapest the weather's been amazing
no rain not too cold but like the perfect winter crisp air. If you're still watching up to this
point thank you so so much I hope you enjoyed it and please let me know in the comments what your
favourite part of the vlog was if you haven't seen part one go ahead and watch that on my channel and
