What's going on guys? Erica Berni finally coming back with another video. If you guys don't know, I'm also Staff Sergeant Bernardo, former Drill Sergeant of the Army.
And today we're going to react to 2021 US Marine Corps Recruit Training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot at San Diego.
So I hope you guys enjoy this video. Sit back, relax, and we're going to play it.
So if most of you are following me from my journey and all that, and being in the Army, I guess how they do it in the Marines, and I learned this a little while ago, is they actually split it up.
So if you're a male, you guys stay with males, stay with male instructors, or drill instructors.
And if you're a female, same thing, but now you stay with female instructors, stay with the female bay, and you're just a full female platoon.
I always love the beginning parts.
So I love how intense the Marines are. I really do, right?
And there's always no disrespect whenever I'm reacting to this video.
It's the same thing for the Air Force, Navy, Space Force, Coast Guard.
Never any disrespect, so I'm just going to react to it how I react to it.
Regardless of how sharp they look, when they yell, I don't understand what they're saying sometimes.
If I was a recruit, I'd be like, I don't know what the heck you're saying.
I just hear loud yelling.
Even if you're a male or a female, I just don't understand sometimes.
We're out there, and we pull.
Permission to get on.
Yes, sir!
5, 6, 7, 8.
Again.
Boy down.
Okay, CG's out there with them.
Here we go, here we go.
He's probably like, I don't know what you're saying.
By the way, it's literally, literally impossible to get the Star Chamber clean.
Anytime, even though I know some of the trainees really, really, really, really 100% try to clean the weapon.
Anytime you pull back the charging handle, and then you lock it to the rear so you can inspect.
That's always my tell of, hey, you didn't clean it, or technically you didn't clean it well enough.
Unless there's a little smudge, just a tiny little smudge.
That's how I know you cleaned it.
But if I just pull the charging handle once, and lock it to the rear eventually, and then put my finger and see how it is, and there's dirt, you didn't clean it that well.
Just by the way.
Or the drills instructors are like, oh, in their head it looks pretty clean.
Here's the one way I can be like, oh, you didn't clean it.
What is it?
It's so funny.
They're cleaning weapons while talking about Latin F.
Yeah.
I don't know.
I don't know if I like that.
If you're doing the military, just know, well, at least for the Marines and Army, I'm not 100% sure about the other ones.
You will do a lot of weapons maintenance in boot camp.
Just be prepared.
Come on, my friend.
Let's do sanitation.
Stop right there, Paolo.
Come on, let's go.
Get on the road.
So I guess the crucible is like the forge for us.
So I think what they're doing is usually what we call naked night, night infiltration course, which is usually at night time for us.
But I guess they do theirs during the day.
There's two people.
Run.
Did you not hear your first sergeant?
Yes, sir.
Aye, sir.
That weapon is not in the shoulder pocket.
There you go.
The crucible is a rigorous 54-hour field training exercise demanding the application of everything a recruit has learned.
Yeah, like the forge.
Let's go. Dig deep right now.
What happens to the formation, y'all?
One foot in front of the other. Let's go.
Yes, ma'am.
No one's holding hands in my freaking platoon. Just know that.
Necklace, freaking weapon right now.
Aye, ma'am.
Hands on face. I'm going to stick 5-4-3-2-1.
Yes, ma'am.
And by the time the item was secured, three of those flag raisers, even amongst the 6,800, killed in action.
It is your duty to uphold it every single day.
Over the past three days, your drone instructors subjected you to the final days of your training.
During these past three days, many of you have been allowing your fellow recruiter the strength to press forward.
Each and every one of you have earned the title Marine.
Congratulations. I promise you, this is just the beginning.
You're a real leader. You really are. And you're selfless.
Always work harder. Always keep pushing forward. Never get cocky. Stay humble.
Annick?
Yes, ma'am.
Congratulations on earning the title United States Marine.
Annick, I really hope that when you leave here, you push.
I can tell you that the Soldier Induction Ceremony or Marine Induction Ceremony, whatever you guys call it,
your branch is super memorable.
As a Drill Sergeant, whenever we had to do the Soldier Induction Ceremony, it was a little bit different than how I went.
They did it a little bit different in Fort Jackson.
I can tell you in Fort Leonard Wood, I remember so clearly.
I remember that I needed to use the restroom so bad.
But I was like, if I go, I won't be able to be part of this Induction Ceremony.
It was after a long 12-mile foot march back to the company.
I still remember my Drill Sergeant.
It was a great moment. It was kind of like, we made it.
Sometimes as a Drill, you're kind of like, okay, let's hurry up.
Let's get the ceremony done after you're done. It's time to go back.
Rewatching stuff like this, no one understands it unless you've been through what they've been through.
What your strengths are, keep working on those.
You should be proud of yourself.
Because I've seen how you've grown from thinking about yourself.
That's what's going to make you memorable as a Marine, as a leader, as a friend.
That's what's going to make you memorable.
Congratulations. I love you.
Well, that was it for this video. I thought it was pretty awesome.
I like that for this video, there wasn't any talking.
None of the beginning voiceovers and all that.
The video just let it play for itself.
Pretty much showing the PT test, going through the crucible, all the hard stuff they had to go through.
I thought it was pretty cool to see that because it's been a while.
There's a lot of videos I see and I react to that's talking about the military, boot camp and all that.
A lot of it's voiceover and X, Y, and Z.
The reason why I really enjoyed this video, it was practically just letting the video talk for itself.
Kind of reminding me what I went through when I was a private 9 years ago.
And what I went through recently as a drill sergeant.
Inducting these new soldiers that are coming in which I thought was pretty cool.
If you guys are in the military, go ahead and comment down below your story about how you guys did your induction ceremony.
I hope you guys enjoyed this video.
Please give it a thumbs up and if you have any other video you want me to react to, go ahead and comment down below.
I'll see you guys in the next one. Peace.
Outro music.
