HIGHLIGHTS | Real Madrid vs. Levante UD (Liga F 2024-25 Matchday 8)

Athenia Del Castillo looking to get back into some form after missing a month through injury over the autumn period. So for the first time in 2025 Real Madrid play a home match as Aldo Cambo now. 0-0 still the scoreline. Combination with Redondo crosses it in and hooked by Athenia Del Castillo. A lovely improvised finish. Well it's been one-way traffic since the first whistle. They've looked particularly threatening down this left side. Athenia not overly willing to give the ball back. Levante have given it straight back to Real Madrid but it's one back Great stop Misa Rodriguez. A real scare for Real Madrid. Maria Mendes slipped, Jacon was in, Lacroix came across. Well it's something to build upon. Two corners in two minutes. High cross and hit it across off the crossbar. Ana Franco. Real Madrid fall asleep. Ball came in from Carbonell, nodded across and then Ana Franco was completely free. Lacroix away. Oh that's weekly play back. Was there a hand there? That is a red card for Andrea Tarantona. A hand ball denying Naomi Ferrer an open goal and just as Levante were making this game competitive they are down to 10. Angledal with a clever turn. Holbrook saves, only parries it out. I think Redondo will be grateful for the offside flag. Real seeking a second to go with the early strike from Athenia Del Castillo. Ramona shouts of handball and the penalty is awarded. Well for the second time a handball decision really hurts Levante and it's the captain It is Olga Carmona against the substitute goalkeeper Emma Holmgren. And Carmona blasts it over. Oh dear. Well well well. Spent more time in the Levante half but they've not created a huge amount Real. Is that going to change? Del Castillo trying to wriggle into space. Comes now to Aviera. Just over. Caught it really nicely. Leupolds, Angledal, Ferrer. Back to Angledal. Square as it must be. It is 2-0. Del Castillo with the double on the stroke of halftime. Real Madrid take full command. A lot of credit has to go to Angledal. She scores a header. It's a perfect hat-trick. Angledal, Ferrer. Cleared only as far as Leupolds. And now Antonia. Well that brings to an end a very very eventful half of football. Leupolds swings the cross in. There's Teresa Aviera. Stab three towards Redondo. Smashes it home. No lusty celebration. But Alba Redondo has punished her former club. Well I mentioned she wasn't involved much in the first 45. Angledal looking to try and win it back off Arquez. They are attempting to utilize Chacon's pace as much as possible. Well it's a trap. Poor clearance from Misa and Chacon. Unorthodox from Real Madrid. Alba Redondo. Antonia Silva I think thought about the strike. Is there place? It's a Navarro. Comes across. Surely a hat-trick? No. Del Castillo denied. Navarro. Leupolds swings it in. It was missed by everyone. Camacho, Angledal and Carmona. Oh that's a really poor ball. And a big opportunity for four. Bruno opted to shoot first time pretty much. She did have options as well. And Andres has done so well. Time for the cross. And Aviera. Teresa Aviera with a stunner. That is some way to end your gold drought in Liga F. Well much credit has to go to the substitute and Andres. She plugged away. She kept it in play. So often the heartbeat of this Real Madrid team. They're looking to make it five. They have. Signe Bruun. Well this is now turning into an exhibition. Off the bench. Straight on the score sheet. Angledal. Carmona makes the run. Takes it down brilliantly well. And it's sent in eventually by Caroline Muller. In what's probably going to be the closest range goal she'll ever score. Well this has been comprehensive from Real Madrid. As easy as that. Real Madrid make it two from two in 2025.
