Experience the Elegance of a Contemporary French Home | House Tour

This is Tari here from ABI Interiors, and today I'm outside the latest project by Maddy Constructions, an in-villa architect. This chic, transitional style home is a modern take on a classic style, blending French and contemporary designs together. Let's check it out. Stepping through that front entrance, we've got some gorgeous artwork on the side of the wall here, a little mudroom, and this staircase which leads up to the bedrooms. But first, let's take a look at the kitchen and living. Would you look at that soaring void? Your eye just instantly goes to this double-story, floor-to-ceiling mantel feature. It's made from French limestone. This entire sitting area is just doused in light. It's pouring through the glass paneling, and it filters on through to the adjacent kitchen. So the kitchen uses a lot of raw wood. You've got glass display cabinetry, farmhouse sink, and these rustic tiles, which for me feels like a nod to French farmhouse design. Then it's paired with these contemporary elements, globe pendants, modern engineered stone bench tops, and together it just feels really balanced and homey. Through here, you've got a butler's pantry. Okay, so around from the kitchen, we have the laundry, the powder room. I absolutely adore this laundry here. Again, that raw wood, all made by Cabinet Collective, particularly with the matte black, just beautiful. So being a transitional style home, you will notice a lot of clean lines in the architecture and interiors. A prime example is this gorgeous railing along here, looking out over the fireplace and sitting area. So I've got a gorgeous little media room here. Again, that glass paneling we saw downstairs just filling this room with light. And out here, a sun-drenched balcony looking out over the pool area. So we've got a bathroom here. Let's head to the master. So this actually is a five-bedroom house. Unfortunately, the other bedrooms aren't furnished, so we won't show you inside, but bedroom here, bedroom here. A very nicely sized study. And finally, the master suite. Now, I love this feature here, French doors that open out onto your very own Juliet balcony. So through here is the walk-in robe and ensuite. Again, in these bathrooms, you just see that perfect balance of the traditional and modern. Those modern matte black fixtures against, again, the raw wood, the Italian porcelain tile, and those traditional French louvers. It all makes for a very elegant space. I think my favorite feature of this entire property is just this back wall, completely covered by this glass paneling. It blends the indoor and outdoor seamlessly together. So there's a very large outdoor entertaining area here, fully equipped with an outdoor sink and an inbuilt barbecue. And those clean lines that we've seen throughout the property are definitely reflected in this perfectly manicured pool and backyard area. Thanks for coming on another house tour with ABI Interiors.
