If you ever need to fill down dates in a column, but you only want to fill down the weekdays,
then this little tip is really going to help you out. So here I have just a schedule of subjects
that I need to attend. And what I want to do is in column B, I want to fill down all of the weekdays.
So I'm going to click in cell B4, and I'm going to type in the first Monday of the week,
which we're going to say is November the 27th, 2022. Ctrl-Enter to stay in the same cell.
And we're going to fill down, but we're just going to fill the weekdays. So little trick here,
hover your mouse over the corner until you can see that small black cross and hold down the right
mouse button. Drag down, drag back up to reveal that secret menu. And what we want to do is fill
the series. We want to fill the series down the column. It's a date, but we only want to fill
the weekdays. We can then put in the date that we want to stop at. So for me, that's going to be
December the 17th, 2022. Let's click on OK. And like magic, those dates have quickly been filled
down for me. But if you check it out, it's not included the weekends. So I know that the 3rd
and 4th of December are weekend days, and you can see here that it hasn't included them.
So that's another use of fill series. If you like this tip, then smash that like
button. Give me a cheeky little follow and I'll see you in the next video.
