A lot of times you get these annuity payouts from B++ because they're,
they're trying to be more competitive because they don't have the ratings.
Well, when you have that with an A plus rated carrier, boy, you can't lose.
Hey, John Stephenson here, the guaranteed retirement guy.
I hope I don't regret this, but I'm standing on ice right now on this lake
and I see a little crack over here in the snow,
and I'm thinking that's got to be just the snow, right?
Right.
All right. I'm going to talk to you real quick and I'm gonna get off this ice,
but I wanted to get out on this lake because I'm usually kayaking with my kids
on. Um, okay.
So I've got a guy who called me. He's 62 years old.
He's married.
He's got a 49 year old wife and he wants to generate $74,000 in guaranteed
income for him and her because he knows he's going to pass away first.
So he wants to make sure that she is taken care of as well.
And he's already got like another 70 grand in income guaranteed from,
from other sources.
So he just wants to basically double his income with an annuity payout. Okay.
He's got 1.8 million in assets. So he's in a good spot. Uh,
as far as liquidity. The thing is, is his spouse is quite a bit younger.
She's 13 years younger. And so he knows the importance of,
of deferring this out because the longer you defer it out,
the higher the income is. So he's going to defer it out 11 years,
but in 11 years,
he's going to have exactly $74,000 in guaranteed income for the rest of his
life. But more importantly, for the rest of her life. Okay. So 11 years,
she's still only going to be 60. And you think about that, like, Holy cow,
that is crazy. Okay. So she takes it out. Even for 30 years,
she's going to take out $2 million plus.
So you're probably wondering how much did this cost? Sorry.
I heard a sound over there. I was just starting.
I was starting to think that the, that the ice is cracking. See,
you start to think differently when you've got a wife and kids, right?
So you're not as bold with certain things. I will be more bold when, when, uh,
when it, uh, gets a little bit colder out here. Where was it? Yeah.
So the premium amount was $592,000.
Not bad. Not bad for like a two and a half million dollar pension. Right.
And here's the other thing.
It would have been a whole lot higher if she was his same age, way higher,
it would have been six figures, like 130 grand.
I think if I had to go back and check the numbers, it's just insane.
When you think about the kind of income that you can produce with an annuity
contract, and this was with an A plus rated carrier, by the way,
a really strong carrier.
A lot of times you get these annuity payouts from B plus plus because they're,
they're trying to be more competitive because they don't have the ratings.
Well, when you have that with an A plus rated carrier, boy, you can't lose. So,
and if he wants to spread it out over two carriers, he can do that too.
The nice thing about this though is now he's got, he's got everything taken care
of. He's got his wife taken care of. If he dies,
she's still going to have the other pension payout and his social security
because his social security is higher than hers.
So that total payout is still going to be what he wants it to be. So,
and that's really important to consider.
If you have a spouse that is a quite a bit younger,
and if you're a male like me and your spouse is younger, um,
then you got to make sure you take care of them. I mean,
my wife is only four years younger than me, but she's still younger. Okay.
When I'm 95, she'll be 91. And so when you think about that, you're like,
all right, well, if I pass away at 95, um, which I don't plan on,
plan on living till I'm a hundred at least. So we'll see.
I want to make sure that she's covered. Okay.
I want to make sure that income continues to her and I don't want her to have to
try to, all right, well, how was John producing his income?
How was he trading a stock market? How was he doing this?
I don't want her to have to think about that.
I just want the income to keep coming to her bank account like clockwork.
Every time I shift here, I think I'm just going to fall through. Um,
it's all right. I can swim. It's fun to be out here. It's fun to be risky.
Let's talk about risk.
It's fun to be risky when you've got guarantees set aside. Okay.
He can put, he can put another 1.2,
he can leave his 1.2 million in the stock market and let that thing grow.
I think we were looking at it and it's going to grow to like seven or $8 million
over like 15, 20 years. Okay. That's just the average growth.
You think about that and like, wow,
why wouldn't you have a guaranteed contractual income that's taking care of you
so that if something does happen in the market and it's down for three or four
years, you don't care because you know, when it's down,
it's going to eventually rise back up and give you even bigger gains.
It's kind of like when I jumped out of an airplane a couple of years ago,
it was a lot easier for me to take the risk of jumping out at 10,000 feet,
knowing that I had two parachutes, right?
It's a lot easier when you are managing that risk with guarantees.
And of course parachutes, you know, it's not a guarantee,
but if you look at the statistics, you're actually safer. Um,
falling from the sky than you are getting in the car. So anyways,
I'll let you find those numbers yourself. But anyways,
I hope you enjoyed this video. Uh, I enjoyed being out here.
I literally have been walking in certain places out here,
like up to my waist with this snow. It's a crazy, but it's beautiful.
It's quiet. The snow is thick and the acoustics are great when you're filming.
So anyways, hope you enjoyed the video. If you did go ahead, like, subscribe,
share, comment below. You want to book a call with me and you want to talk about
annuities or as a link below this video goes directly to my calendar.
If you want to go to my website and look at annuities yourself, take a look.
I've got all my annuity calculators on there and you can book a call straight
through the website as well. Okay. I'm happy to help.
I'm not going to try to sell you anything,
but if you are looking to purchase an annuity,
I'd love to help you and I'd love to earn your business.
I'd love to hopefully have your trust. Okay.
I hope that you can feel as you go through my content and as you, um,
as you go through the calculators,
I hope you feel that transparency because that's important. Uh,
before anyone recommends anything, it's, in my opinion,
it's a lot better for you just to be able to see for yourself.
So then you come to the call saying, Hey, I know what I want, right?
What do you think?
So it's a lot easier because then I don't have to sit there and say, Oh,
you should get this.
That pays me a whole lot more permission when you could just pick and it may not
pay me the most, but it pays you the most. Okay. So that's, that,
that's in my opinion is the best way to do business. So anyways,
hope you enjoyed it. Um, we'll see you next time.
Hey, I really appreciate you watching the video today.
If any of it makes sense to you, or if you found value,
or if you even got a question about anything,
I hope that you'll go to the comment section and ask it.
There's no stupid question and I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
