DEPORTIVO ALAVÉS 0 - 1 GIRONA FC I RESUMEN LALIGA EA SPORTS | J19 | 2024/2025

In their last 12, the fans filing in here at Mendizorossovo will be looking to support a side who have yet to drop into the relegation zone but have been there or thereabouts since the start of the campaign. Could it be victory for the home side today in... Diallo's pass. An early one swung over, another one looking for Garcia. We can't... Herrera. Van de Beek shows for it. But Martinez made that run as well, this one! A shot from distance, they could have done with more of that earlier on, Girona. He scored one. Here's Gherini on the right-hand side. Holds on to the ball, cuts that back. There's the cross in, it's a really good delivery! But Konechny can't find the finish. Offside flag maybe went up. No penalty. To add insult to Konechny, he's had to see his missed finish repeatedly. This set-piece to go ahead, heading into the break. Decent delivery there. Diallo was challenging for the header. Second time around, it finds its way through the traffic. Diallo is down. He's just going to be... There's a chance maybe... For Danchuma. Defender slips, gets back up! It's put into the side netting by Danchuma. As his teammates asked why the pass didn't come their way. Vicente pulls slowly over to the left. There's the ball to Carlos Vicente. He's got Kikagos there in the centre. There's a couple more runners as well. Takes a look up, plays it to the back post! And somehow, Konechny, for the second time in this game, from almost point-blank range, has missed the target. That is on the space left at the back, which Girona will look to shut off. And Gherini's gone through. It might just be a shot here from the perimeter. It's still on, but it's well over the top. Grady, Grady, Grady, Grady. Look at Vicente. We often comment on players. At the same time. So far it's been a season to forget for him, but he'll want those Champions League appearances. There's an effort from distance. It does have to be tipped over the top. Konechny, well, he couldn't do the business. It's Guevara again, all the way through to Uono. And this one ricochets off the clearance attempt. Uono, he's barely put a foot wrong in this game. But Cristian Stuani is a player who gets in. Zagankov's pass is Herrera. Four players in the box for the visitors. And this one has fallen for the strike from close range. It's an opportunistic goal and surely the winner from second-half substitute, Jean Solis. He needed a couple of bites at it as Alaves, Girona snatch a win later on at Mendizorosa. Second consecutive victory for them. Maybe not deserved, but it's that man who is the hero. Jean Solis grabs the goal.
