Very recently on Instagram, you did a 10-year challenge.
You posted yourself on the globe's red carpet from 2009 and the globe's red carpet this year
and you wrote, wow, check out 2009 me trying so hard not to do anything wrong.
Check out 2019 me doing what feels right. And then you wrote wicked sweet.
Yeah, princess diaries.
What has changed in those 10 years? What were you thinking about when you wrote that?
Oh my gosh. Well, I just had been seeing the 10-year challenge and I'd just gone to the
Golden Globes and I thought, oh, I bet you I could, I got my pose down. So I was just like,
I bet you I could find a pose that would just kind of show the two. And I just, you know,
life moves and you move with it and I'm not big on looking back. But I just remember being so
scared going into that whole award season and doing what I thought I was supposed to do. And so like,
I barely ate anything that Christmas. I hate to say that, but I remember my dad making a pie and
I just like had a little bite because I thought I had to be the certain, the movie stars had a
certain body. And, you know, and, and I was so scared and I was, I'm sorry to tell everybody
that, but like, I was just like smoking my nerves away and I just wasn't nourishing myself. And then
cut to 10 years later, I've, I've just figured out how to say thank you to life by, by trying
to just absorb the best, by trying to nourish myself, by taking care of myself, by not apologizing
for occupying space, you know, which is not something I knew how to do 10 years ago. So I
just, I don't know. It's just been, it's been a journey and I don't look that different, but
I just feel like the inside has just transformed so much. And, um, yeah, so I'm just really, I love
that girl from 10 years ago. I just want to give her a hug, you know, and I'm just really, and,
and I, when I look back in the last 10 years, I am really proud of how hard I've worked to,
to get to a place where I'm, I feel good.
