Here we are. Moment of truth. Got a few butterflies?
Just one or two.
Welcome to Ms. Mojo, and today we're looking at shows expected to release their final episode
in 2025. We're leaving off The Boys since it seems more likely to end in 2026.
This is the plan. I mean, sure, a few curve balls. But, uh, we got here.
Number 10. The Conners.
The Conners got off to the rockiest of beginnings. Not due to its quality,
but because of a racist tweet that promptly killed the Roseanne revival.
Speaking of which, this spinoff killed off Roseanne,
moving forward with the rest of the family.
Are we horrible for laughing?
Well, I'm tired of crying. And laughing inappropriately is what mom taught us to do.
Some argued that the show wouldn't work without the Conner matriarch.
Others felt The Conners could never get past its problematic origins.
Every time The Conners get a win,
it's just a matter of time before something horrible happens to them.
Well, you might have mentioned that to me before I got on the plane with you.
The Conners nevertheless became a critical and rating success, lasting seven seasons.
The Conner family will bid farewell again over this six-episode final season.
After more than 30 years since we met these characters,
here's hoping The Conners receive an emotional goodbye that doesn't involve winning the lottery,
or revelations that it was all a novel Roseanne wrote.
I thought you were dead.
I'm sleeping.
Why does everybody always think I'm dead?
You looked happy. I thought maybe you moved on.
Number 9. Craig of the Creek
Despite its adoring fan base, Craig of the Creek became another casualty
of what's been described as Warner Brothers Discovery's animation purge.
Oh, silly me. I forgot to mention that all the eliminated players will be banished.
To the basement!
The writing was on the wall after the news broke that the fifth season would be slashed in half.
The second half would thankfully be salvaged as a sixth season,
which kicked off in June 2024.
Craig, I've never seen a battle fought so bravely.
Your reward will be the handsomest feast.
Fit for a mourning person.
Although the final four episodes are slated to air on Cartoon Network in 2025,
Hulu briefly uploaded the entire season on August 1st, 2024.
This was apparently a mistake, as those episodes were swiftly removed from the service.
Whether or not you snuck a peek,
Craig of the Creek will be remembered as one of the best modern Cartoon Network shows,
as we venture into an uncertain tomorrow.
Well, I guess it's time to head home.
Yep. See you tomorrow?
Yeah!
Hmm? Craig?
I want to stay. Just a little bit longer.
Number 8. 9-1-1 Lone Star
In May 2023, Fox opted not to renew 9-1-1,
although the long-running procedural drama found a new home at ABC.
The spin-off, 9-1-1 Lone Star, won't follow its predecessor to a new network.
What the hell? Why would they do that?
Because it costs $150,000 and they say they don't have the money.
Budget issues and contract disputes ultimately sealed the show's fate,
but Fox would throw a lifeline with a final season order.
The fifth season debuted in September 2024,
with the final episode set to air in February 2025.
Moment of truth.
Well, nothing makes for good TV like a little bit of drama, am I right, folks?
Rob Lowe thinks the cancellation signifies, quote,
the end of an era for network TV, feeling shows like this just don't get made anymore.
While another 9-1-1 spin-off is reportedly being developed at ABC,
Owen Strand and the rest of Station 126 will be missed as the fire goes out.
What the f*** is all that about embracing surrender?
Surrender's not in my vocabulary either.
Number 7. You
Like a few other shows on our list,
this psychological thriller was initially expected to end in 2024.
Given the effects of the 2023 WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes,
a few productions inevitably got pushed back.
I suppose I could go back.
I don't want to, but sometimes things just don't work out with the person the way you dream,
you know?
If you're clever enough to get yourself free,
I'll see you back in London and we can revisit these.
The good news is that shooting wrapped in August 2024,
meaning the fifth and final season of You is just around the bend.
Penn Badgley is naturally back as Joe Goldberg,
although this will be the first season without co-creator Sarah Gamble as a showrunner.
The important part is that I've been given a chance to redeem myself
and make up for what I've done.
And I can only imagine.
Madeline Russell.
This is hell.
Assuming her duties are longtime writers Michael Foley and Justin W. Lowe.
The season is also getting new blood with Madeline Brewer as a playwright who catches Joe's eye,
Griffin Matthews as Joe's brother-in-law,
and Anna Kemp in a dual role as twin sisters.
I know they killed her.
Got rid of her body in whatever way they do.
They stole my sister.
Number 6.
Big Mouth.
Wait, what?
This is the end of the season?
Yeah.
No, no, no, no!
Don't go to credits!
By the end of its eighth season,
Big Mouth will set a record for Netflix's longest-running scripted series.
Being an animated series,
Netflix could have turned Big Mouth into their Simpsons with no end in sight.
Since the show is about growing up though,
it seems only fitting that Nick, Andrew, and the rest of the class learn another difficult lesson.
Nothing lasts forever,
especially when transitioning from middle school to high school.
It's gonna be torturous, thrilling, and cruel.
We're getting yanked out of our comfort zone.
We've graduated middle school.
The final season will see the characters navigate the next chapter in adolescence.
While still going through changes,
hilariously awkward moments are sure to remain a constant.
It's bound to be a season of self-discovery,
but will we finally find out who the ponytail killer is?
Our money is on the bad mitten.
Oh, you don't like spoilers?
Well, let me explain this to you.
I'm not a good mitten.
I'm a bad mitten.
Number 5.
Squid Game
This South Korean series exploded into a cultural phenomenon in 2021,
still holding the record for Netflix's most-watched original television season.
The long-awaited second season would be completed in time for the tail end of 2024.
We won't have to wait as long for season 3,
which is aiming for a 2025 premiere date.
The downside is that this will also be the final season.
As one of their most lucrative properties,
Netflix is keeping the brand alive through spinoffs like Squid Game The Challenge
and a David Fincher-produced English adaptation currently in the works.
Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk is content with ending this narrative after three seasons, however.
Hwang teases, quote,
yet another thrill ride that sees Ji-hun and Frontman clash for one last game.
Number 4.
Andor
You came here to kill me, didn't you?
It'll make it easy.
Another production delayed because of the Hollywood strikes,
Andor season 2 finished shooting in February 2024.
By the time it premieres in April 2025, nearly three years will have passed,
and Rogue One will be almost a decade old.
With Tony Gilroy again helming the ship, we're confident it'll be worth the wait.
According to Gilroy, this final season is comprised of 12 episodes.
Every three will cover another year,
exploring major turning points in the Rebel Alliance's formation.
Perhaps it's too late, but I'll tell you this.
If I could do it again, I'd wake up early and be fighting.
Along with Diego Luna as Cassian Andor, expect a few other familiar faces,
including Ben Mendelsohn as Orson Krennic and Alan Tudyk as K-2SO.
Even if we know where Andor's story ends,
his will go down as one of the best in Star Wars history.
You're gonna take on a full garrison?
Take care of yourself.
It's too late for that.
Number 3.
Cobra Kai
Netflix released the first two-thirds of Cobra Kai's sixth and final season throughout 2024.
While the season got off to a fairly laid-back start,
it kept building momentum, leaving us on a killer cliffhanger.
I told you we should've snuck onto that plane in someone's luggage.
Totally.
I mean, we got mad brawl experience.
How the hell does this keep happening?
It's gonna be okay, Mom.
I think.
Although we can't imagine anything topping that last fight,
the fallout will surely raise the dramatic stakes to unprecedented levels.
The final five episodes, which drop in February 2025, have much to unpack.
Between the outcome of the Sakai Taikai,
and the shadow of doubt surrounding Mr. Miyagi's legacy,
the fate of karate looks grim.
Miyagi never tell you everything, Daniel-san,
because you're never strong enough to accept truth.
With Karate Kid Legends hitting theaters in May 2025,
it's safe to say Daniel LaRusso's story is far from over.
For many of these fan-favorite characters, though, this will be the last round.
Who knows what comes after that?
Wheaties boxes, Chopsake flicks, CZ Top videos.
Sky's the limit.
Number 2.
The Handmaid's Tale
It's changing.
Now Canada's not Gilead.
America wasn't Gilead until it was.
When The Handmaid's Tale premiered in 2017,
it was hard not to draw parallels to real-world political tensions
and an overarching fear that society might be going backward.
About eight years later, we're still having the same conversations.
I know this must feel very strange,
but ordinary is just what you're used to.
This may not seem ordinary to you right now,
but after a time it will.
This will become ordinary.
The final season of the Emmy-winning dystopian Hulu series
couldn't be coming at a more relevant time.
Even after the show finishes its run in 2025,
we'll still likely be discussing The Handmaid's Tale in the years to come,
not just as an example of humanity's worst-case scenario,
but as a reminder that as long as there are people like June Osborn fighting for freedom,
independence can never be fully extinguished.
However her story concludes,
rest assured that June will give her oppressors hell.

Number 1. Stranger Things
Similar to the Harry Potter movies,
we've watched the young cast of Stranger Things grow up over several years.
One day you're a kid playing Dungeons and Dragons in a basement,
the next you're twenty-something saving the world yet again.
He's not going to stop, ever.
Not until he's taken everything and everyone.
We have to kill him.
And we will.
While every season has upped the ante,
the final eight episodes are poised to be the most ambitious ever,
with Maya Hawke describing them as quote,
basically eight movies.
The scale of these episodes, coupled with the effects of labor disputes,
has resulted in an especially long wait.
I saw your power.
Time, we've been building it for you.
The Duffer Brothers have held us over with the reveals of the episode titles
and exciting casting announcements like Linda Hamilton.
When the final season at long last drops in 2025,
we're prepared to party like it's 1987.
It's the season the fans have been waiting for.
And we hope you're as excited as we are to get to tell the final chapter
in this story.
What show will you missed the most after next year?
Let us know in the comments.
Feels very weird.
We're just kind of savoring every single moment.
