European Fencing Championships 2019 - Individual Men's Foil Finals' Highlights

Coming forward. Garozzo. His opponent brought his arm right back. Danny Garozzo is actually a third option is to come in on the counter. With the attack. Beautiful pair of riposte. Oh the power actually comes from it's about defense because this wing. Oh Laforte. Garozzo pushing forward now. Laforte's changed a couple of times. Impossible. The key here. Garozzo just waiting. Just stayed in there yeah. You're just opening up your target and you're running away so it's very. Yeah so the first one here. I think we'll get this here. At the last minute he kind of blocks out as he hits. Yeah. But the question is did. Oh didn't land a hit. Four in the world and go to the Olympic Games. It's not quite of individual places added once the teams have qualified. Oh nice. Beautiful. Attacking one where he's right up on his toes and you can really see the difference. Into a sense of confidence and then he comes out of Portugal. Oh Cherry missing off a bit. His arms straight to the shoulder. Took double gold at the world championship. He was in an era where tries a pair of riposte. Now does the first. Miguel Machado has called that correctly. That first one didn't land. Nice attack. He slows that down a little bit and lures out the counter. And he's got. Nice broken. It's the old school broken time. Lovely. Oh that's lovely. Again. Nice. That's the circular sees power of the finals. Oh he missed it. They started to increase the pace now. Still the attack. Well first. And then press forward. That's similar from both of them. But for target. Still right. Started. It was his right of way. His. First. Well that's a beat from Ficoni. Yeah. Beat established. Ficoni's fencing so well. And he's not conceding. And they've got some youngsters coming through as well. In the three years from Rio. Timing change in foil. That's meant the flick is a lot more. Again. Again. Off the line. A brilliant fencer. And he is. But he's been outfoxed. He didn't expect it to be this easy for Alessio. Could have. Would have. Should have with Daniele Garozzo in that match.
