Well, let's see what's concerning Arsenal Football Club this morning. Now,
you would have seen people, several outlets and several ITKs and in-the-knows and dropping
exclusives in relation to Benjamin Sesco and Arsenal's dealings of trying to accelerate
potential summer plans. Obviously, in January, we all know we needed reinforcements across a
number of positions. It's all fun and games talking about Zoubamendi in the summer. I haven't seen
about that. But that's 2025-26 season. Today, in what is left of the 2024-25 season,
and our attempts to salvage our year, we need reinforcements at the moment in January.
I think I speak for every Arsenal fan. Ideally, you would like an inside forward or versatile
inside forward and a striker, or at least one of the two. So, as I said, we've been linked with
Sesco. Gunnar Blogger said he remains of interest. His intention is to finish the season at Leipzig,
but he could be tempted. And then, obviously, you move on. David Ornstein's kind of poured
cold water on it and said that Benjamin Sesco is not expected to move this month amid talk
of Arsenal's interest and RB Leipzig have no intention to sell the striker people.
And then Sky Germany have also said that reports are wide of the mark and have actually said they
don't have a release clause in his contract. In Sesco's current contract, there is no release
clause. You have heard there's a gentleman's agreement with some, to be fair. This means
the transfer fee is negotiable. It's unsurprising that they wouldn't loan out one of their most
valuable and important players in the winter. Leipzig want to keep Sesco. No talks, no negotiations.
So, at best, it appears that Arsenal, what you need to do is continue because we've heard we've
been speaking with him for over a year. Continue that dialogue. See exactly what Leipzig want,
which is going to be more than it was last year or in his last contract of his release clause
and get it done really. And I think his agent, who hasn't been shy of speaking, has also spoken.
Exclusive Fabrizio Romano shares update on Arsenal and Benjamin Sesco.
Benjamin Sesco's name is and will be one of the big ones on the market in terms of transfers,
as well as on the pitch where he keeps scoring and shining for Leipzig and the Sevilla
national team. I think he's got six goals at the time of making this video in his last six games.
In recent days, several rumours have spread in England about potential move to Arsenal after
Gabriel Jesus' injury. But what is really going to happen and what's the truth?
In an exclusive interview, the agent of Sesco, Elvis Bazonovic, owner of Pro Transfer Agency,
tells us what is really happening with Arsenal as links in England suggest a loan move with a
buy option clause is being discussed. I mean, again, for one of the most sought after strikers
on the planet, the loan move business, it don't really make sense really. And as I said,
you know, we've got Zouba Mendy. Allegedly, we seem to be getting him. Josh Kroenke was
at the North London Derby. Mikel Arteta's terminologies around transfers has changed.
I do think it's a bit damning that, you know, it's only really Gabriel Jesus' injury that where the
newspapers are concerned that's forced our hand. Because even if all our attackers are fit,
we could still do with an upgrade in two positions really and truly. And what has he said?
I don't know where this story has come from, but I've never talked with Arsenal about a loan move
for Sesco. That breaks our heart, doesn't it? Let me know your thoughts. Sesco is not a player
for loans, and this was never a topic with Arsenal or any other club. If you ask me if Sesco
will move in January, I can only say Sesco is an RB Leipzig player. I'm fully focused on that.
I mean, if you want to be optimistic, he hasn't shut it down completely. He just said he's not
a player for a loan. And you know, I'm not saying he's going to leave in January because things can
change, but I'm not saying he is. And he's fully focused on what is in front of him. And that's
you're a Leipzig employee. You're a Leipzig player. Any talk of hypotheticals, we haven't
found out that there's been official bids. So there's really nothing to consider. And he's
someone that's been linked with clubs before, and there's been rumours. He just needs to keep doing
what he's doing on a football pitch. Unless it's some crazy loan with an obligation to buy, where
it's a permanent transfer and all but name, it sounds nonsense. It sounds like nonsense.
Apparently when asked about the interest in general from clubs like Arsenal and Chelsea
and more in the player, he said RB Leipzig are the right people to ask these kind of questions,
which is true. So yeah, it looks like he's expected to stay obviously at his current
employers. The situation is quite clear. A loan move was never discussed between Arsenal and
Leipzig despite reports. It's never been a possibility, not even with an obligation to
buy as Leipzig would never open the door to that sort of deal. And Arsenal are well informed on
that. And they know they're going to sell him to probably the British market, but he's been linked
with Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Newcastle, depending on what they do. Is that Barcelona?
Actually, a couple of Italian clubs, the move will happen. Yes, they are well informed because
Sesco is high on their list since last summer and remains one of the most appreciated players by the
Gunners management. But doing January is considered highly unlikely by Arsenal as RB Leipzig have
informed all the clubs weeks ago that it's a complicated season for them with many injuries
and also the Noah Okafor deal collapsing. That means they can't sell a key player like Sesco.
It's not under discussion for January and only something completely crazy could change the
scenario. So I don't know who that would be. But for me, that just tells me go and get a winger
and then put the building blocks in place so that next season Sesco is on our books, people.
31 goals and 67 appearances for Leipzig and he's only going to get better.
Leipzig insist there's no release clause available in January and they're not planning to let Sesco
leave now. So it looks really complicated to make things happen in this window. Allegedly,
however, Arsenal are still keen on Sesco for a summer deal. They believe the striker is a
talent. Apologies for now and the future. For sure, Arsenal will keep contacts alive
and active for the summer as they did after the decision made by Sesco to reject every proposal
in June to stay at Leipzig for one more season. Arsenal remain attentive to his development and
Chelsea also doing the same while Liam Delap must also be included in the list of options
they're considering in recent months. So I know it's an Arsenal article, but for me,
maybe I'm a bit naive. But Liam Delap's name being dropped there, does that mean
us or Chelsea? You'd imagine, you know, you'd have all different ranges of strikers. You know,
the dream would obviously be Isak for a number of reasons. That's not happening.
Llores is something they're probably going to listen to. Sesco is probably one that ticks all
the financial boxes and in line with growing with the team and all of that. Liam Delap kind of,
you know, for the same reasons is going to be there. Ferguson or Brighton, his stock has fallen,
but he's probably still going to be there. Every now and again you see John Duran's name linked
to people. Apparently sources suggest that even the 60 to 65 million euros rumoured to be in the
English press would not be enough to convince Leipzig in January just to confirm how complicated
it'd be to get a move done in this window. So yeah, we're kind of paying for our sins of the
summer. We all know January is a tricky market to do business. People don't want to let key players
go potentially unless you're willing to overpay really. So as I always say, the dream is free.
The hustle is sold separately. More than happy to consider his signing when we're doing content
around the summer or for the summer. You know, talking about Zouba Mendy for me is great.
Talking about Sesco is great, but that's in the summer. As I always say, carnival's in the summer.
I'm looking forward to it. Right now it's January and it's cold and there's a lot of football to be
played. And does that mean indirectly we're going to write off this season? Obviously you've only
got the Premier League really and truly to focus on. Yes, you're also in the Champs, the League
Cup. At this moment in time, we're still technically in it, but we're losing. We lost the first leg 2-0
and the FA Cup dream is finished. I'm all about salvaging the season now. It does always feel
like, at least where the media is concerned, it's always next season with Arsenal. We're also going
to do this, we're going to do that. Prior to the Zouba Mendy rumours and also Sesco and actually
slightly Gabriel Jesus' injury, we were being briefed that Arsenal were just going to make
things happen in the summer. Half the players we're linked with, ironically on brand with Zouba Mendy,
it was all the summer. So yeah, man, with no release clause and him getting better and better
and everybody fighting for him, it's going to make it even more techier in my opinion.
Arsenal keep following the player as they consider him a top talent for the present and future,
while Chelsea and more clubs in brackets. Barcelona also sent their scouts to Germany
several times this season, but no decision has been made on striker investment or not yet for
the summer and are keeping a close eye on Sesco. So yeah, the dream is free. The Arsenal are sold
separately. The Sun has said though, people, Arsenal want to sign a striker and are chasing
Sesco. So we've got to do something, man, because ultimately goals win games. You could argue
they're the hardest thing to do. And we've got players that can go through little purple patches
of form across a 38 game calendar, but there's no one you can really bet your life is at least
going to do it for 25 to 30 of the 38 game calendars, games in the Premier League calendar.
Sorry, unless your name's Bukayo Sakon, which obviously is on crutches and it broke my heart
to see him on crutches. I'd rather be on crutches, man. So at least I can watch Bukayo Sakon, man. But
it is what it is in that regards, man.
