Well, hello and welcome back to the house of Valentina.
I'm so excited you're here today
because today I thought it'd be really fun
to chat about the 2025 home trends
that are the total game changers.
I mean, oh, that was my excited voice.
I'm trying to keep it chill here,
but I am so pumped because these trends
are really, really impactful.
I think would be the word.
They're going to really be something
that changes your home game.
I think you're gonna love these.
Some of these I've got some mixed feelings about,
but that's half the fun of the trends
is that it's really all about looking at what's going on,
what people seem to really like,
and choosing what works best for you,
your lifestyle, the people you share your home with,
the whole shebang, it's all about you.
That's the best part about home
is that it's really all about cherry picking
and creating a space that truly represents yourself.
So I hope you'll leave this video feeling super inspired,
loaded with lots of ideas.
And yeah, make sure you hit subscribe
if you haven't already,
because we have a lot of videos coming out
just in the next few weeks about these very things,
and we don't want you to miss out.
So let's jump into this video
because I am so excited to talk about
these game-changing 2025 home trends.
Let's go.
Impeccably enchanting.
What do those words really mean?
These two ideas really are about as opposing
as my wall color and my fireplace.
I love contrast.
And so when you think about words like old money
have been buzzwords for a while,
and you think about someone who really sums up that style,
there's something so impeccable about them.
It's the way they dress.
It's the way they eat.
It's the way they live.
It's the kind of car they have.
It's how they decorate their home.
There's something really elegant and refined.
There's something simple, a lot of times very pared back,
but there's also a little bit of modernist
mixed into this as well.
There's something very luxurious about these people.
They just exude grace and elegance.
And I don't know about you,
but that sounds like a really good life goal.
That's definitely something I would love to embody.
But there's also something about certain people
out of this group that they have this effervescent
personality, something that you feel just casts a spell
over you, and you feel this sense of enchantment.
So how do you do that in your home?
Well, like I said, bringing in something
really soft and romantic, it's breaking the norm.
It's taking the things that everyone assumes
are what are supposed to go into a really elegant
and refined space, and then softening it
with something that you would describe
as the words magical.
That's what I'm always looking for.
And for me, magic is florals.
It's a cozy blanket.
It's books that are open.
Sometimes even things purposely eschewed.
I have to tell you, I have to kind of purposefully do that.
Sometimes the kids and the dog, they nail it for me.
But I'm always trying to make things not so perfect
that it just feels uncomfortable
for my family to actually live in.
And I think somewhere in that is where
this enchanting feeling lies.
I think that adding trees, we've got trees,
we've got lighting, and there's just like this
sort of airiness and lightness that you feel
in these spaces, and for me, that is something
that I just cannot get enough of.
So I absolutely love it.
If you're seeing some images that you're interested in
and you're wanting to see more of the things
that we're sharing with you over the course of this video,
I leave as much as I can linked down below,
and I always link up my LTK,
because over the last few weeks,
as I've left 2024, sort of really looking at 2025,
I sat on the sofa for days and just really thought
about what I wanted, and those two words
really just sum up what I want for this year,
and I think forever.
Like, this is a life goal trend.
I don't think it's just 2025,
but it's definitely something
that we're gonna be talking about a lot,
and I hope it'll become permanente, as I like to say.
I hope it'll become permanente, as I like to say.
So we've been talking about enchanting,
and now people are talking about the color blush.
Every year around Valentine's Day,
blush makes a comeback in small decor.
Pink itself never really goes out of style,
but the tones of pink definitely come and go,
and right now, a really, really neutral.
I think of blush as a pink that's so neutral,
you almost don't even see it as pink.
It just feels like a camel or tan or taupe.
It's like so subtle.
I absolutely love this color.
This goes so far beyond Valentine's Day, right?
Like, this isn't syrupy pink.
It's not so sweet that your teeth hurt when you look at it.
It's something different.
It's something, I think it's very neutral,
and for a neutral lover, this blush color,
I think it's fantastic.
I think putting it on your walls would be absolutely amazing,
but also, we're seeing a lot coming out in furnishings
and also in accessories, which is really exciting.
So also, oh, and textiles, of course.
So think about how you could add these blush tones
throughout an entire space.
You could go for it on the walls.
It would be magnificent.
I recommend color drenching those walls
and taking that color,
sealing all the way down to the baseboards
and pretty much anything in between.
Yes, the windows, the molding, everything.
Color drench it with this color.
Whipped Mocha by Benjamin Moore
is a really good starting point.
It really kinda sums up this really neutral blush color.
It's almost quite brown, actually,
and I absolutely love it,
and I'm dying to hear what you guys think about it.
Dusty blues, just like that blush tone,
is making such a big comeback.
I feel like you always see this color
really hitting catalogs, places like Pottery Barn,
Our House, everyone's gonna have this at the season,
just like with the blush tones.
I mean, Our House and Pottery Barn
are just killing it right now with these colors.
They have so many beautiful things
that you can grab and add these colors into your home,
but if you're looking for a dusty blue,
it is crazy popular,
and a lot of times we see it hit spring, summer,
associate blue with water, blue skies.
It's a color you see coming back into interiors
every single year,
but I think that this is something
a little bit more evergreen than that
because I really try to avoid trends
that are just too trendy.
I'm always looking for something
that has something everlasting about it,
and I think that this dusty blue
is something that you guys, I know,
so many of you love this color
because I've put it in to so many of your homes.
We've done it in your mood boards.
I would say the most popular spaces
where we put these blues in are the dining room
and also in your bedrooms.
Those are the spaces that you guys just absolutely love,
just a dash of blue,
and I love the color dredging the walls
with these blue tones
and really doing tone-on-tone a lot of times,
but you can also pair them up
with really beautiful creams.
You could pair them up with light wood,
but you could also go for a really elegant
and really rich color palette with these as well,
so you could go with really deep, rich wood tones.
You could go for blues and black and maybe gold.
There's a lot of different ways to use this color palette.
I think a lot of times people feel like blue,
just it's the beach,
but it really doesn't have to be.
You could put this into a contemporary home.
You could put it into a modern home.
You could put it into a really classic home.
That's why I think this is so game-changing
because it's not so seasonal and it's really permanent,
and it's something that people just want.
So when you think about the holidays arriving,
think about putting a Christmas tree
into a blue dining room.
Oh my, so gorgeous, right?
But then summer comes and you can pair it
with really light linens and crisp whites,
and you're like, oh, right?
It just works for all seasons,
and that's why I think it's such a game-changing trend
that people are just talking about.
You'll see it definitely represented
in so many of the color palettes of the year.
Companies like Behr and Cheryl Williams, Benjamin Moore,
everybody's coming out with palettes, which I just love,
and a dusty blue is right in there
with all these palettes that are coming out,
and I think it's a total game-changer.
Let me know what you guys think about the dusty blue trend.
As a girl, I was born and raised in the Southeast.
I absolutely love East Coast design.
Now, I love modern design, I love California style,
I love Scandinavia, and I really have a very eclectic style,
but for me, when I, we moved overseas for 12 years.
I didn't have any of that kind of like East Coast,
like paned windows and a lot of the things
that we associate with the East Coast.
It's kind of got a little influence right from Europe
and got a little European style in it,
but it's not so modern.
There's something really classic and enduring,
and it's kind of timeless.
When I thought about the kind of home
that I wanted to raise my kids in
when we got back from being overseas for all those years,
I immediately thought East Coast.
I just, for me, it was like,
I could just imagine the paned windows
and the classic, just the little molding.
I love the chair railing and all the classic elements
that you associate with an East Coast home.
I, for one, that's what I imagined.
And still to this day, when I close my eyes
and imagine if I could have any house on the planet
as my home base, as my one place on the planet,
what do I picture?
And I'm like, yeah, I still just love an East Coast feeling.
We are seeing East Coast popping up everywhere,
even on the West Coast, okay?
Like, no matter where you live,
there is something about these classical design elements
that feel straight from the storybooks of Europe.
We've imported them a long time ago, and we just love them.
We just absolutely, can I get enough of them?
We love something that just feels
like it will always be here.
It's always been there, and it always will.
And there's something that feels like you're a part
of, I don't know, like you're a part of some movement
that just is forever, and I really love that.
Trends like quiet luxury and old money,
I think those have definitely had a big influence
on us craving something just a little bit more traditional
and a little less modern for our architecture.
But for me, I like a balance of things.
And so for me, I love the architecture
of my East Coast home, but I love pairing it
with things that are really modern.
And so when you think about this one,
don't feel confined that if you don't have
an East Coast feeling with your architecture,
well, then maybe you have a modern architecture,
but you have some East Coast elements.
So think about, you might even be looking
at some soft-armed sofas.
You might be looking at some really beautiful
medium-tone woods.
The really light woods tend to be more associated
with California style.
And these sort of medium to darker wood tones
tend to be associated a little bit more
with East Coast style.
But you, gosh, the possibilities are endless
for how you can mix this into your home.
You may wanna add a little bit more pillows back.
I mean, we have been saying that for a while,
like minimalism, it's kind of gone out just a little bit.
It's okay if you're still building your home
to have a little bit more minimalistic aesthetic
as you're building everything out.
But the goal is soft blankets, lots of pillows,
piles of books on the table.
Not that those things are only associated
with East Coast style,
but I definitely think about like the bookcases
packed with books and the study slash library
and just the feeling that you get
in a traditional East Coast home.
So think of places like Martha's Vineyard.
Think of places like Cape Cod.
Think about those styles and the way you think
of those homes and some of the design elements
and see if you think any of those might go
with your own style.
You can change out the lighting that you have.
Even if you have a modern space,
you could add in some classic lighting.
I know we've done that on our back porch.
We've done it throughout our home.
We've kind of mixed the genres together and I love it.
I love the mix of things.
And that's the fun when it's yours
is that you get to make it anything you want.
Your eyes do not deceive you.
I have moved ever so slightly
and that is because it is the sunniest day here in Atlanta.
And I got light just beaming into my eyes.
Excuse me, I had to move over.
But I do wanna give us a little power moment here
through three really nice decor trends
that you can very easily add into your spaces
rather than a whole entire new design on the entire space.
So what is trending right now?
Orchid bowls.
Holy cow.
It's like they came out of nowhere.
I don't know.
Did we just notice them?
Were they there the whole time?
I never saw them.
I don't know what it is about the orchid bowls.
I can't get enough of them.
I absolutely love them.
There's so many companies putting them out.
And guys, I have ordered so many orchid bowls over the years
and honestly, they just don't look that nice.
I'm like, I go to HomeGoods and I'm like,
okay, orchids, great idea.
I love live orchids.
And then I look at the faux ones and I'm like,
okay, not really my favorite.
But you can make your own orchid bowls.
Hang on, let me show you mine.
All right, so it started with the really big one for me
and now I'm making them everywhere.
So you can do these live.
They look absolutely stunning with the live orchids.
I just got this bowl off of Wayfair.
I've got some moss sitting in here and I just adore these.
You can definitely make the orchid bowls with live orchids.
But I think the reason that they're getting
even more popular is because these faux florals,
they're just getting so good at them.
And now we're no longer avoiding faux florals,
which I have put onto a great many of my videos
that I do not like faux florals.
And I will let you guys know when things got really good
and it happened, it happened, okay?
So places like Pottery Barn, Wayfair, Amazon, you name it.
I think even, I remember correctly,
I think even our house, I had them too.
Orchid bowls are crazy in and they just add
a beautiful elegance to your space.
And if you go for the faux ones,
they're gonna last forever.
The other ones, you have to be a little bit more patient.
Once the florals die off, to just water them
and they will come back.
And that is very rewarding when they do.
But either way, the orchid bowls are a really easy way
to add just a little bit of elegance
to any room in your house.
Walls of mirror.
They are really coming back.
And I'm so excited because we've been talking about
adding mirrors, adding mirrors, adding mirrors.
I know so many of you added mirrors.
In 2024, don't worry, you're not taking them down.
You're just gonna want more.
You're just going to want more mirrors.
We've been doing a lot of leaning mirrors.
We're doing a lot of singular mirrors
because we've been in a very minimalistic phase.
But we're kind of leaving that behind.
We're like, let's add more, okay?
One mirror is nice, but more, now what would that do?
A wall of mirrors is such a nice thing.
Now, I know a lot of you are probably gonna,
you're gonna think of like the 90s
when they did the really cheapy,
kind of poorly done mirrors in like the dining room
and the bathrooms over the vanities.
Like, those aren't really that nice.
But they did add so much light and reflection into a space.
So that's why I think they're coming back.
But this time we're just gonna frame them out really nicely.
So if you have a really big mirror still in your bathroom
or you've got a wall of mirrors in your dining room,
instead of taking down the mirrors,
why not just frame them out?
That's the least expensive option.
But if you don't have them,
you might just think about places like Ikea
are a great place where you can find their,
I think it's called the Hems.
Hems for sure had one.
I've got a couple from them.
I'll put them up.
I'll link them down below as well.
But I've been going to places like Amazon to get my mirrors.
If you want something that's really, really simple
and really inexpensive,
and you can stack them across a wall,
Amazon is a great source to go to.
But if you want something that's a little bit sturdier,
something a little bit more unique,
you may think about going to West Elm
because they really do have
just a little bit more upgraded feel to them.
♪ Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh ♪
Finally, sculptural decor.
I mean, she's got a lot of sculptural pieces.
Really glad to hear that this one's hanging around.
2025 is definitely going to be defined by sculptural pieces.
So it could be anything from a bowl to little spheres.
It could be sculptural.
It could be a sculptural table that you add in.
That's definitely like moving on
from like small decor pieces, but sculptural, anything.
That word is something that's not going away.
So if you want to switch out your furniture, that's great,
but you could also just add in some sculptures.
Actual sculptures.
I buy them from places like Amazon and Wayfair
if I'm looking for something really inexpensive.
And then of course,
you can always just splash out a little bit more.
I am a fanatic of companies like Arteriors and Noir.
I talk about them like every other video.
I really love their designs,
but you don't have to spend the money.
But if you see something really unique, this trend,
it doesn't really ever go out of style,
but right now we have a lot more available to us.
And so that's why we get excited that this is a trend
you're going to be seeing everywhere.
And it's such a nice trend to hop onto
because no matter what your style is,
a sculptural will just add this feeling of elegance
and sophistication to your room.
So I hope I have left you feeling super inspired
because I have never been so excited
about a design year ever.
I am just like floating on a cloud of inspiration right now.
I'm so excited about 2025.
I just so wholeheartedly believe
that we're about to just have so much fun this year.
So I hope you'll hit subscribe
because get ready for more trends videos.
Let's talk about paint.
Let's talk about decorating.
Let's talk about what we're going to avoid.
It is all coming out very soon
and I don't want you to miss out.
And we hope you'll be a part of the conversation.

give the video a thumbs up if you loved it.
