Hello everyone. It is eight o'clock something and it's cold and wet.
So the temperature right now is about one degree celsius.
So all the snow is gone and melted and now the ground is wet and it's gray.
Welcome to Germany. My goodness. The plan for today is to continue practicing the form,
the dado form, that I did last time and to add some new movements. First I'm gonna go over the
old ones for a second. Then I'm gonna add new movements. Well I didn't, I don't add them but
I train the movements that come after the ones that I did last time. So I'm continuing the form
and then we'll do the same. So seeing which movements need to be worked on
and I'm working on these movements trying to make them as perfect as I can.
And yeah that's it for today.
Okay I'm only wearing gloves because it's cold and my little thingies get cold.
Okay let's go. Let's do a little warm-up before so I don't get hurt or anything.
I don't hurt myself. Let's put it this way.
Yeah this is one movement that I really have to practice.
Did that look cool? I hope so.
Okay let's let's see where we stopped last time. Let's just go through it lightly.
One, two, three, four. That was bad. Five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten,
eleven, twelve. Okay I think that's not too bad. So now let's see if I can
Yeah shouldn't be too bad. Okay so the movements that come after this sickle
turn. You hook with the hooks on the back side of the blade here, pull back,
stab, you go here, cut, kick, cut again, then step over, open up your permanent,
and then cut and jump. Oh you didn't see that. Never mind. Again. So the last movement should be
where was I? You're here, you kick, you cut, then you open up your opponent like this,
and then you cut and stab. Yeah. Let's do them one more time and figure out
where I need to practice. I think I'm getting a little bit too warm.
I really like to train in the winter actually, because I don't sweat as much.
That's like the one thing that I really dislike about training, sweating too much. Not because I
hate the feeling and I think it's disgusting, not at all. I hate sweating because every time I sweat
I have to shower. That's why I don't really appreciate sweating that much. That's okay.
Okay let's go again. So now I'm gonna figure out what are the movements that I have to
train for today or where I have to put the focus on, and then after I figure that out I will train
those movements, and then after that I put all the new movements together, and after that I will put
all the movements that we already had plus the new movements together. Sounds like a plan right?
Great. Okay so we stopped last time we stopped here. Maybe I should train this movement as well.
So like from here, from here, I have a little thinking hiccup.
Oh yeah, from here, this movement. Maybe I should train this one as well. So like from here,
number one, because this is a heavy turn, then most definitely this movement,
from like hooking, pulling back, and stabbing. This one needs to be trained.
This one not so much, but this one as you see very imbalanced, and then there comes this one
and a jump. I think the jump needs to be trained as well, but I don't have that much time today
so might do that next time. We'll see. Okay so let's count again. One, two, three. Okay
maybe I can fit this one in as well. So first movement that I think needs to be trained.
Let's do the turn. We have three movements right? Three that needs to be trained in total. Let's do
the turn first. Let's do the turn first, so the first movement first. Then we do a third movement
third, second, because this is more coordination as well. And then we do the second one last,
because the second one needs a little bit more strength training. It's very
strength oriented, so it takes a little bit more muscle strength. And I think this will exhaust
me quite quickly, so that's why I would do that last I think. Okay let's go again. So the turn
first right? So we end up here. Let's do it slowly first. So it's a turn over this leg.
Let's do five slow. Very controlled and focusing on getting the edge alignment
and balance correct. I feel like I'm doing a little bit of this motion
when I do the cut, and I don't like that here at this point. So I think the reason is
my hand is not in the right position. It should be more of a push down position
at the top handle here, than a holding position, a pole holding position. More
push down position. Maybe that will do the trick. Yeah I think that's not bad.
That felt different. That's interesting.
But I'm not sure if it should be more of a cut like this, or if it should come down like that.
Let's see. It feels crazy cool, but I'm not sure if it actually looks crazy cool. I hope it does.
Let's do this two more times. Yeah that was a little bit too big. As you can see I slipped a
little bit. I think that's good. Okay the next movement is a little bit more technique oriented.
So what happens is I'm here and I use these hooks here right? To hook something incoming from here
pull it down and back and use this momentum to step forward
and cut straight like this into someone's wherever. It's actually kind of a stamp.
The stamp in wushu has a lot of more of a strength meaning. You don't actually
really do that in combat, or you don't have to, but it emphasizes on a certain movement how the
power should be used. So it's not only just this. Usually it's combined with the whole body,
especially when you do for example Bajiquan. It's very prominent there. So technically
it's not necessary to do these these stomps. You can, but you don't need to. Wow exposure is
going crazy. Okay so let's review it again. From here going over pulling something back
and then cutting into the other one. I think something that happens when I do this is my
shoulders go a little bit up. So I can focus on that as well. Do not let my shoulders go up.
Let's do five. Oh wait no. I want to do the other movement. Never mind. Let's do the other movement
first. No wait. We had four movements. Oh yeah. It's early okay. Don't blame me please.
Okay so where were we? It's fine that we do that, because this is coordination as well.
Hook, shoulders down. I personally really like this movement. It's quite powerful.
That doesn't look as bad, or it doesn't feel as bad anyways. Let's say to really cement it.
Not as much power. Speed yes. Power no. Yeah that felt better. Cool. Okay next one.
So we got the turn. This one. We got the step. Now comes this one. I think this one is fine.
It might need some training. Let's do this one. Let's switch it up. We do until here today
and then the jump we do next time, because then we can focus on this one. This cut. So after this
one grabbing something here with the spike and then cutting up here and then also this movement.
This kind of throwing up your opponent's guard movement. I think that's not a bad idea.
Let's do these together. So we end up here. Mabu. Hooking with this thing. Cut up here and then
stepping open. Oh it starts to rain. I think the end position should be something like this.
Very important with the gungbu is to have like your upper body on one line with your back leg.
Even if it's something like this you shouldn't overextend like that. The upper body should be in
one line with your back leg. Let's do this again. Let's do five times as well. That weapon is heavy.
Hook, cut, step. Again. Hook, cut, step.
The top is quite heavy. It's hard to get it exactly goes straight up. Usually it always
goes a little bit like to the side when I do it. I don't know if that's on purpose.
But anatomically it's quite difficult to do it in a different way. So I'll just stick to that
for a second now. Do you see the rain? It's like this very very tiny droplets.
It's more like mist or fog. Let's go. Three more times and now without holding my breath.
I think that's not too bad. I think that's not too bad. Not bad at all. Here you can see it on my
blade. It's like very subtle droplets. If you guys have any questions
just write them in the comments. I read all the comments and we might do a Q&A
sometime in the future. So just write your questions in the comments and then I will
answer them in a video probably. Hopefully. Okay, let's go. Now let's put all the new movements.
New movements. I already learned them a long time ago. Let's put all the new movements together.
Practice them a little bit and then add the new movements to the old movements together.
Oh, I have to repair this. Okay, so where were we? Oh yeah, here. Now comes the turn.
Cut. Yeah, that works a lot better. Yeah, yeah, not bad. I'm quite happy with that.
Let's do it two more times. No, again. Oh, it's getting wet now. Really wet.
A little bit slippery. In a different way than it was last time.
It's always slippery. Okay, let's do it one last time. I have to practice this one more.
Yeah, I think that's not too bad. Let's do one more cool pose for the thumbnail.
I think this one is fine. It's a bit closer so it looks cooler. Yeah, that should do the trick.
So let's do a little cool down. Cool down stretching.
These turns, I really have to practice them a lot more, especially the first one. That really didn't
go how I would like it to go, which makes me a little bit sad. But I think that's fine.
That's a progress. That's how it is in every kind of sport. It's a progress, especially in
these kinds of sports where you have to do a lot of coordination and balancing stuff. You have to
repeat it over and over and over and over. Sometimes there's a technique, oftentimes
there's a technique, how you can do it perfectly and how it should be. But then you still have to
just do it over and over and over and over again.
Just because you know how to do it, doesn't mean you can't do it. So repetition, repetition,
repetition. In terms of weapons, I really just want to finish this one, make it look really good
or let's say make it usable and then I can go on to some other weapons.
What I really want to do is the jian, so the sword. I have a sword, I have several swords,
but there is a form that my sister was taught. It's called qing feng jian
that I also really want to learn. I already learned some sword forms. Maybe san cai jian.
I should practice this as well again. San cai jian is a really good one. Oh, is that a cat?
Oh no, it's a fox. What? That's the first time I've seen a fox dressed in...
Crazy, not bad. Okay, let's do this. Always stretch, no matter what you do,
even if you don't do any kind of sports. You should stretch as well. In Chinese there's a saying,
I don't know the exact Chinese words, but translated it's
one inch longer tendons, ten years longer life.
So always stretch your tendons. Okay, see you in the next video. Bye.
