today I'm not opening any presents today I'm going to do do all the weekend so this is like a nice little birthday treat yeah honestly I am so thankful every day for each and every one of you all of you here all of you who comment here of you watch here of my patrons which is I mean I just feel so grateful for them every single day so shall we get into the books thank you so much in advance to everyone who has sent me something and let's see what they are this is such a fun birthday treat okay but before we get into the video I have to thank the sponsor of today's video serious rers with my serious light it is my favorite thing in the world being deadly serious if you've not heard about this before this is a reading light and I am obsessed with it I've had it for a couple years now I cannot remember life without it well actually I can it was worse I love it so much I use this every single time I read at night if I'm in my bed and reading you best believe I'm using this so the technology behind this light is something called daylight wave NE technology which means it replicates the daylight Spectrum the light we see every day as closely as possible and let me tell you it feels so natur in the eyes I always say it feels like a breath of fresh air I love it just so much I have not gotten ey strain since using this I used to get eye strain all the time all the time when reading really like we're looking at tiny words on a page often like in cozy poorly lit environments I love a cozy Vibe this keeps the Cozy Vibe but makes the book well lit I absolutely love it I cannot recommend if you want to get your reading off to a great start in the new year I cannot recommend this bad boy enough I love it so much I have the high by definition light I also have the one that you can recharge and then unplug so it's portable so sometimes if I'm doing reading Sprints at my desk I'll take it over there and use it there as well and I have a code you guys I have a code you're going to be obsessed code Meg will get you 50 off a high defin light it's the best deal we've ever had if you've ever thought of it you need to go get your hands on one of these like I am so obsessed if you've ever thought of it it's such a great investment I love mine I use it every single day pretty much so I'll leave the link down below but again code me will get you £50 £150 off a high definition light I cannot recommend enough it's such a deal you need to go check it out down below thank you so much again to s sudas for sponsoring this video and now let's get into the book ha oh I just knocked the stack over a little bit let's see what we've got I like to read the notes first and I get very upset when there's no note is that the note this is from Louise James from Sunflower Library hi I'm a bit of a silent Watcher but I love your video I read this recently and loved it gave me be oh no I'm really bad before the coffee gets cold it's the initials and I was like what the hell is that I can confirm it contains cats within the story thank you Louise we have got oh my goodness the full moon coffee shop by my Muki I am so excited about this one I love oh my God I love the cover of this one and the fact that we got confirmation it contains cats is all I need I hate when there's cats on the cover and there's no cats this I feel like is going to be I'm going to be obsessed I've heard wonderful things Coffee Shop cats oh my God the C the guys the cafe is run entirely by talking cats I am about to freak out I about to freak out we're so excited to be here seriously this is the thank you so much Louise that is so oh my God that is so exciting and then there's another book is there a note for this one there doesn't seem to be a note for this one Louise unless I'm missing it but I'm assuming this is still from Louise because is it's in the same package this is one that wasn't on my TBR we've got the Last Unicorn by Peter S beagle living in peace and halila would the Unicorn didn't know the world had changed or that anything had happened to the rest of her kind overhearing a chance conversation she resolves to venture out and discover the truth the road is dangerous and the RIS are great if she fails the unicorns will be lost forever was voted by time as one of the 100 greatest fantasy novels of all time interesting okay this sounds very small and quiet and kind of cozy fantasy and maybe a bit like Katherine Arden kind of Vibes oh my goodness thank you so much Louise I love the look of that that seems like exactly like my kind of fantasy Okie doie I'm just picking the the packages at random guys I can't tell you again how thankful I am okay note from Amber happy birthday M I've picked out a book that I've recently that I have recently bought to read and luckily for me it was also one of the cheapest re so celebration all around I guess ooh okay this one's very interesting we have got graveyard shift by ml Rio so I didn't love if we were villains as much as I feel like everyone else has however when I was reading that I felt like with ML Rio there was just something that I could get down with so I'm very inted by this one it's a really really short Nolla oh I love the bright green on the inside that's so brat my question the whole entire time is why is she Green Well Tamar have you ever watched the show I don't really want to know too much about this I know it's about like a group of like five unlikely strangers on a grave the fresh grave that's been dug but I'm very intrigued by this one and it's very short so this I feel like will come in useful for a video that I need a short book for I don't know what that is yet but thank you so much Amber that's so kind of you guys I'm so sorry once again for this creaky chair it's the only chair we have in the house that like all other chairs if you see them they're ugly so this is the one you put down here but it's so creaky whenever I move when we move out and I have a library I will be getting a chair for that room that I can film in that's cute but until then we have a creaky stall that I sitting at oh who is this from let's see from Britany happy birthday M I hope you have a fabulous day I love Sharina so I thought I'd get you two oh there's only one in here so we've got another Sherie leina waiting for us somewhere I really love Shar laeno too this one is everyone here is lying is this her most recent one the thing about Sher laeno ones all the covers look the same especially in the UK all the covers look the same so I struggle to remember which one is which but I feel like this is her most recent one this is 2023 not her 2024 release I love a bit of sharena I think she's one of my favorite like Thriller all Al I guess some of the stuff I've enjoyed most from her has been more isolated mystery like an unwanted guest I really enjoyed but I just really enjoy her stuff she's kind of the author that I just feel like I can read all her stuff pretty easily so this man is a family man but he's been having an affair an aair that ended horribly this afternoon at a motel up the road he returns to his house angry to find his difficult nyear daughter Avery and hours later her family declares her missing so has he done something to her or or someone else done something to her interesting thank you so much Britney I love a bit charena I just like her books are just easy breezy beautiful cover Gart you know what I mean that's the vibe I get from charena so I I'd love to read all of her stuff because I just feel like even if I don't love them there's just something about her writing that I just enjoy you know next book you guys I just can't go very much I love you all so much this is so kind okay well this is a big book I've just like looked in there and it's just it's thick it's a thick boy let's read the note this is from Mackie this is one of my favorite books ever in my humble opinion it's as good as Travis bowry hope you enjoy it no pressure Oh yay yay yay okay this one's so exciting thank you friend we have got the Phoenix keeper she's huge but she's so beautiful she's a mammoth of course oh my God oh my God okay this one I remember hearing about who was it was it Sarah one of my patrons on reading Sprints was reading an arc of this and said they were really enjoying and it was cozy fantasy and ever since then I've been very intrigued by it and it's about a zoo of magical creatures and we've got the Phoenix keeper following the Phoenix keeper oh my God oh my I'm just reading the can I just talk about how the synopsis I'm not going to read you out this whole synopsis cuz it's long but it's got like crossed out parts and it's got a list like a one two three list already giving me something it's giving me something to work with already you know what I mean I am so I didn't realize it was so big but this one oh I feel like especially after what Macky said I feel like this could be five stars five stars five starles baby I am so int Bas one and I I always want a little bit more cozy fantasy you know thank you so much friend this is so exciting thank you okay what's next pomian have an enchanting birthday thank you for the wonderful heartwarming Community you've created to another exciting year thank you friend we have got ooh okay this is interesting we have got spinning silver by Naomi novic now here's the thing uprooted by Naomi novic was on my worst books of the year list last year however after I read that so many people said to me you should have read uprooted spinning silver is the good one and I thought for a long time they were like in a series but they're not they're just very similar Vibes and so many people everyone's says don't read uppr Edge just read spinning silver so I despite not having enjoyed uprooted I have been very very excited by this one I don't really know the plot Katherine aren say she couldn't put it down and I have to trust Catherine [ __ ] we were talking on my Discord after the if you saw the year of Rex finale at Mr bees when we were talking about Katherine Arden guys I really had to restrain myself from not saying to him I call her Katherine [ __ ] Arden like that intrusive thought was in my brain the entire time we're discussing her like I call her Catherine mother [ __ ] Arden why would I tell that to him I didn't I restrained myself but it really was hard it was really difficult cuz she's Catherine [ __ ] Arden you know what I she just is she's an icon she's a legend and she is the moment now come on now anyways sorry off topic but yes I don't really want to know the plot it's just you know this kind of Eastern European fantasy I've just heard really good things about this one especially in comparison to uprooted so very excited thank you so much okay then we have two that came gift wrapped what one should we open first I think they're from the same person from esy happy birthday I had a good time I had such a good time reading this it was pure fun I hope you love it too let's see what it is the pressure oh my God what is this oh my God guys Puck and Prejudice it's a hockey oh my God hang on a sizzling marriage of convenience romance between a pro hockey player who accidentally travels back in time to Regency Era England and the Brazen contemporary of Jane Austin he can't help but fall for wow the woman was too stunned to speak that's quite the synopsis that's quite the hook oh my God bloody hell guys bloody hell oh my God oh my God thank you so much ese I feel so I never would have read this otherwise but I feel like no it's on my hands I suddenly don't want to read anything else suddenly this is the only book in the world I ever want to read oh my God and then ESD sent another book I believe happy early birthday while I waited till my actual birthday but let's see what this one is oh okay fun this will definitely be one for next Christmas it is the mistletoe Mystery by Nita Pros I think I'm going to read Christmas met Mysteries every single year and I didn't read this in the one last year cuz I got told really you have to read Oh My My My TBR card is too tightly packed but it's right there the mystery guess the second one before you read this so thank you so muchie this will definitely be one for next Christmas there's so many Christmas Mysteries out there it's just such a good sh genre and I just feel like I want to read them every year the videos never do well you guys never want to watch me read Christmas M of mysteries but I love spending like the week before Christmas reading Christmasy murder mysteries cuz it's just such a like there's so much there there such an untapped Market I really enjoyed the first in the maid Series so I'm very excited to continue guys I'm kind of overwhelmed this is crazy I just I love you all so much this is oh you're making my birthday I hope you know that oh no I don't think there's a note let me not look at the book oh there's no note okay if you sent this to me please let me just I've seen what it is but I'm just searching for a note okay if you sent this to me please let me know but we have got sense and second degree murder by Tera price this is the second in a Jane tin retelling series murder mysteries right so the first one was pride and premeditation and there is like a spin-off series off of that book following the Lizzy and Darcy and that but I'm probably just I don't know if I want to read that I'm probably just going to read the other two in this series this is is the second one this is Sense and Sensibility now here's the thing I probably need to read Sense and Sensibility before I read this so I don't know how soon I'll be reading this cuz I have not read Sense and Sensibility however I have been feeling like even though I don't own it maybe Sense and Sensibility needs to be my 2025 Jane Austin it's just maybe the one that feels right next I own manwood Park but I don't know if that's the right Vibe next you know I feel like maybe you know pride and prees Emer and sense sensibility I feel like her big three and maybe I should read those first so maybe I'll will read this after having read that thank you so much to whoever sent this to me I have been really wanting to continue the series but like I said I feel like I can't until I've read Sense and Sensibility I feel like that's the wrong way around to be doing it but we've got aspiring scientist Elanor dashwood discovers her beloved father slumped over the desk of his office chair oh no okay I don't want to read on too much more cuz I don't want to know I don't want to know anything and I really don't know the plot of s sensibility so I don't want know that either but I love these covers they're so gorgeous with the kind of like embroidery style love them he okay oh we have notes good good good oh I think this is the other one from Britany yes it is okay we've got another Sher lepina we have got the end of her which I feel like is one of the ones I've heard the best things about like I feel like it's one of her most highly rated ones a couple are recently married with newborn twins but the wife is struggling with sleep deprivation a woman from Patrick's past arrives and makes a horri horrifying allegation he always claimed his first wife death was an accident but she says it was a murder oh okay so can she trust him is he telling the truth is a woman telling the truth very exciting thank you Bry like I said I'd love to read all of Sher Le penis backlist this is another thick ass book what have we got here who is this from from Melissa Melissa happy birthday make I hope this year is kind to and allows you to thy from Melissa Melissa Melissa Melissa what have we got jeene or in the US it's the what is it Ellie black what is it called it was in the Good re's Choice Awards I don't know why they've given it a different name what was it the return of Ellie black that one in the UK is called the next girl but it's the same book I'm very intrigued by this one it's been 20 years since detective lost her sister but she's been known for finding missing people that's until local teenager Eddie black is found in Washington state Woods it's been 2 years since she disappeared but she's alive but something's not right with her oh interesting I was very by this one I was really hoping that I was going to read the top 20 and this was for the good re Awards and specifically because of not just this one but this is one of the main ones why I wanted to read the top 20
