Cleaning and Organising the Van | Solo Female Vanlife

hello and welcome to my van if you are new around here my name is Sarah and I am currently living in my little box all viaro fulltime kind of traveling around a little bit around the UK but also a lot of the time I am on my driveway of a house that I'm renovating so I am currently at on the driveway I've been away for a week had a fantastic week been away for a week um just got back yesterday and the van is a nightmare like it's just an absolute tip so today I'm having a cleaning day I want to properly clean and tidy the van I want to like wash my bed in and just get all sorted with it cuz yeah I'm going to like I am ashamed of how bad it actually has got like the last couple of days whilst I've been away I've just let it get a complete anut it's just yeah I am embarrassed it's I'm going to show you but yeah I'm embarrassed look at the side here I've just got got gr cheese that is just I've just left up there that is only from last night but still that's disgusting and it's just look food chaos the sink has turned into a can collection that is full of empty cans I've just started Gathering all my washing so I'm going to in fact I think what I'm going to do first I'm going to put my bed beding on for wash cuz I'll need that for tonight so I need to get that done right now in fact let's go and do that first before I going put that beding on I did want to share with you my I went for necklaces this time two necklaces because last time I did get I'm going to show you what they look together but I got this long kind of pendant necklace which I have been loving wearing and I wanted to like layer and stack them so I decided to go for two shorter necklaces that I can maybe wear with the pendant one hopefully it looks nice we'll try it together yes so I went for this one and then the other one I went for is this one so they're both short necklaces but very different in Design This one definitely feels kind of more delicate than the other one this one feels a little bit more chunky which I like that there's two different two different kind of styles here so here is the more delicate one that I got just on on its own I love it I'm going to add the um my older necklace that I've had for a little while and see what it looks like stacked that's what I love about it like it's like stack and jewelry like you'll see I wear I really want these bracelets to be on my right wrist I've worn these constantly these are two uh bracelets that I've got from ANA Louisa I want them to be on this wrist but I can't do it myself because my left my left had won't fasten the class I need to get someone to do it for me so I can move them over cuz I don't want them on the same hand as my Fitbit really I've had them for a few months now as well and I I literally haven't taken them off since I got them and they just look as perfect as the day that I got them so they really do and Louisa jul really does stand up to the test of time how nice does that look with the two of them o should we go for three three might be a little bit Overkill I don't think I necessarily want to wear all three of them at the same time but Let's uh let's just put this one on we can always take the other one off okay here we go is three too many yeah three sort of is too many really so I'll take off CU they're the same length the other one sort of loses so here is the more chunky necklace with the pendant I love it like if you were going to get two pieces I would definitely say go for like a pendant necklace and a and a shorter necklace I just think they pair so well together sit in it's just small place space you really got to kind of keep it clean and tidy I just haven't the last couple of days that's all right we're doing something about it today also I absolutely love this beding is like Teddy bedding from Asda is it from Asda yeah like Asda or B&M do I can't remember which one I got it from um it's like 20 quid 25 quid or something it's been so good in the winter the only thing I don't like about it is it's got buttons on the end I like to have zips on the end of my [Music] do we end up being here again but I don't care as long as you get me off my I'll show you where I wash actually so where I'm currently doing my washing is here in the house renovation let me show you how we've had to do it so we've got the water coming in from the only water that comes into the house is this tap here and we've added like a little extension like Junction bit there so it can come out go into the washing machine and then the waste water comes out here and then goes down there into that pipe it works it's all good also by the way you can see this I don't know what I've done I think I've like either scratched myself I woke up one morning and I had like blood all over my forehead I must like scratched myself in the middle of the night or something um yeah that's what that is right let's get this on like I say I've got another little washing have like clothes and stuff that I want to get in as well is it on there we go beding getting washed right now that's in I'll show you a little bit more of the chaos I've just got this seems to be all rubbish under here I think I'm not sure I'll have to check I've just got junk on the floor the front look at the like I want to clean down there cuz that's just crazy it's just a mess I'm embarrassed just it's rubbish it's generally it's like it's rubbish and stuff just I've just I don't know never mind it is what it is right I'm going to gather up all the washing come around the place I say gther it's not I Dam I haven't just Strom my dirty washing around places I have actually got like a little laundry bag down at the front where I've been putting my dirty laundry and then this is just stuff from the gym or whatever so gather that all up get that out of the van stick it in the house so that's out the way and then I can put that on as soon as the other ones done let me show you these my friend bought them for me um they're like little heated socks there's a battery no idea where the batteries are system yeah little battery that you just put in this little pocket here plug it in and then it like Heats your feet at the bottom it's been really good the last couple of days cuz we've been outside a lot they've been brilliant but I'm a bit concerned about washing them to be honest cuz they've got like that's where they connect looks the battery I don't know I'm just going to have to throw them in the wash and see what happens hopefully I don't break them I've actually got an insane amount of washing I'm not sure how I think I'm going to have to do another two washes I'm going to be washing all day I want to wash my winter coat as well car me without caution want something else look at this sink it's a disgrace it's just cans crap that's terrible goodness did I even mine off these CS I don't drink Stella oh my goodness I'm telling you I've not got the motivation for this whatsoever like it's cold outside just like being outside backwards and forwards and stuff so I've got rid of quite a bit hang on just get rid of that cheese I've got rid of a few bits from the van and got it a bit more organized but I think I'm going to put my heater on sit in the van and maybe like tidy and organize this section here I think it's probably pretty it's not too bad but I just want to get a bit warm I can't find my phone I hope hope I've not put it in the like I've not it was on the bed I hope I've not gathered it up with that washing and put it in the washing machine oh no oh no maybe I need to stop everything unlock hang on think I have oh no it's okay it's here when I clean up here I just take everything off and like start again with it cuz I do tend to just like throw stuff up there I'm like why is that up there that doesn't live there or whatever so I feel like I may as well show you what's in these baskets um that is not normally in here it's only cars where I've been away for weeks we've been having barbecues every night and so need some of that for um corn the cobs so this one is like my dry basket or like bit They Don't Really belong in there either but they can they can stay there these are my dry stuff generally up here so I've got like some lentils some more lentils a lighter don't know why that is in there [Music] some oo pter and then the other one has it's kind of All Sorts really foil for the score on the CBS that we've been having this is my nebula for watching movies um like a projector thing and then just like bits and Bobs got a few lighters in here don't know where they've been coming from but okay we got some lighters I really need to put that up probably so yeah I need to sort that out uh and then like Pary small it's also where I store all my Anna Louisa jewelry I also have up here a few little bits screwdriver some packing tape there's L little tool boox Li wait a we can put these things back now all tided at the moment my spices are you may have seen me take them off are just going up here I do want them excuse the cheese other to out but I've got this little cupboard here uh it's just got it's got my Wi-Fi in and just little bits and pops and I want them to go have you seen them you've probably seen them where like you screw the top onto the top on on the underneath of the thing and then you just like screw it I think I quite like them under there out of the way but for now they all just go up here which is quite handy I have these in the van have you ever had these oh my goodness if I can find the clip my sister bought them for um for like for Christmas and wo I'll put a bit of a clip in of when we tried it on Christmas Day absolutely crazy um so I just carry them around with me now if anyone wants to like when I meet up with people do you want to try a bit of this it's horrendous like literally I just had the tiniest little bit well you'll see in the clip watch this oh my goodness it was crazy oh wow yeah yeah oh wow it's not can't it oh wait a minute no she's not are you always Dr one of them me you can't do anything don't do there's vona in that freezer I'm not joking what the [ __ ] m [Laughter] oh wow going to do a bit of a charging session these are for my socks I'm going to get these batteries charged up going to charge up my Fitbit have I show you my new Fitbit stepen got at me for Christmas I love it my other one you had I used to have to charge it like at least once a day it just was messed up but this one I don't really need to charge it like I think it's been 10 days since I've charged it and it's going really well so let's plug in the socks get them all done cuz I probably will be going away again pretty soon and it'll be nice whilst I'm cuz when I'm on the driveway I've got the ability to you know um plug in and just be charge up which is nice cuz when I'm not on the driveway I then have to it's not really the time of year for solar um so I have to like find places to go and plug in or like be driving and stuff which isn't ideal so when I'm here I like to not that these things take up a lot of battery in all honesty but I just like to get everything charged up and stuff I'm going to have a proper s out of everything I just feel let me turn this off I just feel like I want to just sort everything out so I'm going to actually might even wash my gym bag I'm going to wash my gym bag see if it needs it yeah it does let's wash it this is where I store my toiletries just in my gym bag because the only place I really shower is when I go to the gym so I just store like my shampoo and face cream and deod problem is when you do these types of things you're sort of in mess until you get like I'm going to be in this mess until I can get my gym bag back that's okay I guess it's just part of the process I've lost a glove wonder where the other one is how can you lose anything in this tiny little space it must be here somewhere I also need to sort out my phone the other day the the lightning charger stopped working I didn't know whether it was or the lightning port on my phone I didn't know whether it was the phone's fault all the Chargers fa so I like got all loads of wires to test let me let's see see no that don't work but the I think the like the wires do work I've tested the wires on like a friend's phone oh it's not working why is that happened maybe I've got like bit some bit of dust up there or something maybe we should have a clean of it hey why we're having a day of uh organization and sorting out let's see if we can solve this problem that is disgusting you won't be able to see it but it's absolutely disgusting up there I need like a little pin or something I know what I've got I've got a skewer from the barbecue you probably shouldn't stick anything down this hole should you now I'm thinking about it how' you clean your phone what what' you do a I've been faffing with that phone for ages trying to get it fixed I can't I don't know what's wrong with it and I'm kind of done in the back here mainly it's all organized and stuff so I'm going to I really don't want to but I'm going to get in the front and clean the floor and stuff oh look at it oh my god oh this is disgusting oh my goodness man this foot well is not quite so bad but it's not good there's not really much more I can do now until the beding and stuff is uh is washed that washing machine in there I don't know why but I can't figure out a like a quicker cycle it seems to be like every cycle is about 3 hours it's ridiculous I don't know what like that's crazy to me a three hour cycle how I'm gonna get it dry by this evening I have no idea I'll probably have to how am I gonna do that I don't I think I probably have going to put my heater on and like lay it in front of the heater maybe I might actually um I've got in the in the house um a heated Maiden so I might put it over there and see if that is quicker than using the diesel heater in the van all right second load on we'll uh yeah we'll turn the ma on and see oh stepen forgot his smoothie my son has G to work he's left his smoothie on the side there look he's going to be hungry yeah I bought this um heated Maiden it's actually quite good you do kind of need to cover it so when I've been putting stuff on and putting like this sheet over it is nice having the facility of um a washing machine for a long time whilst the house has been done I didn't have a washing machine and I'd have to go to either um my sister's house or laund or whatever so strange how we end up being here again I don't care as long as you get me off my feet I don't know what to say my plan this isn't going to work very well but my plan the diesel heat is under there I'm going to shove this under here put it on and it'll just dry hopefully I it's not going to be wonderful but at least it's getting some heat on it and then I reckon I'll just have to like swap things out and stuff and I don't know like when those things have dried like move move stuff all around let's get this here on Steven's just messaged me could I take this down to him at work so I'm going to go drop this off with him I don't know what to do I don't know how I'm going to get these things dry I could I might I'm just in the house to come and check this blanket it's almost dyed but the my du cover that I'm I'm putting underneath is just not getting dry but it's actually really windy outside so I might sort of hang it over my door or something and just let it flap about in the wind for a bit like it's cold but it might oh it might dry oh my goodness I can't tell you how absolutely boiling I am in this band right now I probably should take my jumper off I'm absolutely I'm so hot I've had my heater on full for ages it's down here my bed in I think it's going to be dry I'm going to put it on the bed in a second yeah yeah it's dry I did it and it's only halfast 5 let's get the bed made so it's done cuz I don't want to do it later on I hate making the bed that's why like I hardly ever um I hardly ever change my pedding in the van cuz it's just such a nightmare there's just no room [Music] oh my goodness me to take a a [Music] workout that feels good all clean and tidy and oh so much better than it was this morning I'm going to try never to let get in such a stay ever again oh that just feels so nice beding is a little bit damp in places I got to be honest but it should be dry I probably need the heat it back on in a little bit so that I'll just dry it off and it should be fine I'm going to sit this evening and I'm going to do some work on my website I reckon right Reon that's my day over it's so nice sitting here and just sitting back and the van is all nice and clean and I've got
