Hi everyone, how are you all?
Today's video is about Pongal celebration,
but this
year's Pongal celebration is not like
last year's Pongal celebration.
Last year, when we came to India, we
celebrated Pongal in Tirunelveli.
My aunt came to my house and said, "
This is a very special way to celebrate
Pongal in Tirunelveli." There
is a concept called Pongal Padi, that is, every year, we give this Pongal padi
to the girls who have gotten married in our house. They
give us all the things we need for the house, like rice and lentils. Traditionally, they
give us this basket. We
went looking for it and bought everything for this basket. On the
first
day of Pongal, we went to the farmers' market at five in the morning and
bought all the vegetables.
Why did we come here? They come home and
put a lot of gravy.
If you have seen the night before Pongal, they
put a kolam all over the house and
say it is kavin and paint it with a color.
In our village, how do we
put all our colored kolam powder? They
come in this kavin and
dissolve it in water and put a cloth in that hand and
touch that kavin and paint it all over the house
like this. This is
not a big rangoli, but
this is what they do traditionally. In Tirunelveli,
everyone at home and my
aunt also do it. They put
this kavin and put a kolam and make a border at the
door of the house.
Didn't they come there to
hold Pongal? They quickly put it like they saw the sun
[music],
so they
are going to hold Pongal on this box, this kolam.
That is why they are doing all the work for that. There are all
the lights next to it.
Everything is ready for Sami to bow down. My
aunt comes to my house and raises lambs and chickens.
That's what's
kept outside. She brings all the vegetables like this.
Sami bows down. She puts
lights on them. She brings
all the local vegetables that are available.
Sami
[music]
bows down. They put two pots in them.
In this small pot, milk comes in and
everyone pours it together. When it comes, they take
that milk and
make Pongal in that big pot. Pongal is made in that big pot. If
you've seen everything in our house,
we
make it in a small pot. We don't make it in a cooker. We make Pongal in a small pot. If
you've seen it in my aunt's house,
they make it in such a big pot every year.
This is a full white Pongal. This is a small pot and they make
sugar Pongal. This is a small pot and
everyone comes.
When they eat, the cows will eat
them too. That's why they wo
n't come and make a big fuss.

Put it.
If you look at our house, it's next to a small village. There's a
full
field next to it. My aunt comes and
does farming. She makes a seven-leafed cake like this. She
comes and bows to the Lord. Everyone eats. That's
not all.
If you look at the center, she puts all the vegetables,
that is, all the local vegetables, tubers, and makes
a Pongal gravy. When she
comes, she fries them at home. She
fries all the cumin, pepper, and coriander and
puts them in that gravy. She fries them and
grinds them.
Peeling this tuber is a big job.
I think this tuber is a small tuber. It's been a long time since I've peeled this small tuber. They
were peeling it. Somehow, somehow, everyone
finished peeling this potato together. Did you see
how much gravy they put in it? How
big a pot it is
? There were only seven or eight of us, but
if you saw how much gravy they had, we must
have come to a village. Because
this is how they make it traditionally. When you put a lot of
vegetables in it, a lot of gravy
comes out. That Pongal gravy came and
we ate it for a day or two or three.
That way, it tastes very good.
That's why my aunt came and chopped everything she
brought. She poured it in here. She also
poured tamarind water. You can call it sambar. She
came and roasted all the lentils and
chopped them. She added coriander, cumin,
and everything.
Kabadi. My uncle's only passion is a divine
vision. Only one month. 18th way. Since
we are a farming family, we
will bow to the Lord and finish it and go to the field to bow down. That's why
we have come to the evening field.
We have come.
If you have seen my aunt and my
husband, they are walking in the
field without wearing shoes. I have not been used to this field since I was a child.
That is why I cannot walk without wearing shoes.
Only my father and I
are walking in sandals. How beautiful it is.
Do you see how walking in this field in the evening is
so much fun. When
I came to India, I enjoyed this trip
very much.
We went everywhere. We went to
all the places where there is a hammer in Tirunelveli.

Get off and stand and everything
flies. They bought this rabbit for my father. He
is biting his hand. He is
biting his hand. He is biting his hand.
[Music] Whether
my father is a farmer or not, I
have been very good with this rabbit. I love all these pet animals.
I really like it, it's all about rabbits, I really like it. When I
was a child, you came to our house and
saw that we raised rabbits. We raised one,
five or six rabbits.
How cute
this video is. The clarity is
cute. I don't do any other work at our house. I was just
playing with this little rabbit. What
if someone came looking for me? Then I would just sit somewhere with that rabbit. That's how I did this whole trip. When I left this trip, it was very difficult for me to leave this rabbit because it was so scary for me. Because we have to love our animals. At some point,
those animals come and get very angry with us.
Those animals also
come to us and are very affectionate.
That's how this rabbit also came to me when
I left. When I
left, it made me feel sorry for me and came to me.
It was really hard to leave this rabbit hole.
This video came up. I took
it last year and said I could post it all. I took it and
hid it.
I
had never posted it. Well, how can I post in between? I just
posted it because I thought I could post it for this Pongal. If you liked it, please like it.
