Kalia Gets Braces For The First Time! *SCARY*

Today my youngest daughter, Kalia, gets braces. Will she be able to handle the process, or will it be the scariest day of her life? It's the alien probe. Hey, guys, it's the day that Kalia gets braces! How are you feeling, Kalia? Not great. We're gonna head off to have the last lunch before braces. And then we're gonna head to the orthodontist. I think you have seen him before in some of our other videos. What Kalia doesn't know is that I have a surprise for her when we're done with braces. Dad, we're taking Kalia right now to go get braces. Right now? Kalia, you do hard things and you're so brave. Your teeth are gonna be so amazing. Jack, Kalia's about to get braces. And I'm about to go bald. Do you have any words of encouragement for Kalia? Because she's kind of nervous. This one right here, this is a permanent tooth. So we're moving this tooth over so that this one can come through in the right place. Okay, I'm gonna kind of show you everything so you know before. Okay? First thing I'm gonna do is I'm just gonna polish your teeth in the surface. And then what I'm gonna do is put this little cheek stretcher in. And that's gonna hold open your mouth so we can see everything and keep your teeth dry. Then I'm gonna put this glue stuff on. It's just a little, like, shampoo for your teeth, and then I'll rinse and dry it like that. These are the braces we're gonna be putting on today. Okay? Will it hurt? No, it won't hurt. I'm putting chapstick on because they're gonna stretch my cheeks out, and I want it to be comfortable. Smells good. Yeah? Do you want to watch something on Disney plus? Shall we do it? Oh, yes. There's the remote. All right, first step is to clean my teeth so the braces are ready. I'm gonna come at the bottom. After the assistant cleaned Kalia's teeth, she puts a huge mouth stretcher in to access her teeth. I could tell Kalia's getting a little nervous, but I'm so proud of her for being brave. Kalia, are you good? Okay. She's putting the blue shampoo on Kalia's teeth. So that they're gonna be prepped and ready for the braces to go on. Kalia, you look like a blue alien. A little bit of water. All right, the braces are ready to go on, and we're just waiting for the doctor Swenson to come in. So let's ask her a bunch of questions before this happens. All right, Kalia, how's Teddy doing? How are you doing? How is your mouth feeling? Do you want me to take a picture of you so you know what you look like? And now for the moment of truth. The orthodontist is finally putting her braces. I hope Kalia's feeling alright. It's kind of crazy that she can't talk right now. She's almost done. And then they're gonna put the wire in. All right, you're all done. Let's see it. Oh, yeah. Wow. Do you like it? I think it looks good on you. Are you ready to go home and surprise the fam? Mm-mm. Should we take an after picture? Mm-mm. Yeah, let's go back to that one spot. Ready for the reveal? So when you get braces, you're probably gonna be terrified. Because, like, all the sharp tools and stuff. But once your, like, movie goes on and stuff, you don't feel anything. It's weird. The only part that hurt me was when they put the wire in, but it doesn't hurt that bad. So if you're ever scared to do it, just watch this video. You won't be scared at all. We're on our way home. I'm gonna take you to get your surprise first. And then who do you want to show your braces to first? Like friends or family? You choose. I want to surprise my friends. Okay. And then I have some people at home that also want to see your teeth.
