Congresswoman MTG Joins The Bottom Line to Discuss Impeaching Sec. Mayorkas and the Border Crisis
At the southern border, border officials reported nearly two and a half million
illegal migrant encounters, the highest total ever recorded in a single year.
Since Biden's inauguration, there has been more than six million illegal border crossings.
So historic.
That has been historic. And who can forget his historic surrender to the Taliban and
catastrophic withdrawal from Afghanistan, leading to the deaths of 13 American service members
and the collapse of a country into the hands of our enemy.
So, sure, it's been historic, a historic failure of epic proportion.
No doubt. Here with reaction, Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene.
Congresswoman, good to see you. Thanks for joining us on The Bottom Line.
I want to get your take on this. Georgia voted for Joe Biden in 2020. We just laid out some of
the historic failures of this administration. I want to get your sense on the ground in Georgia.
Have voters moved away from Trump and gone in a different direction,
or is he still doing well in Georgia?
No, Georgia voters are so excited to support President Trump, not only in the primary,
but also in the general election. I can tell you every time I come back home,
everyone I talk to here is just you guys. Y'all killed it in this opening. I just want to tell
you, I watched the entire thing and you're right. It is a historic failure. Joe Biden's presidency.
And that's why people in Georgia really want President Trump back in office.
Congresswoman, but talk about the disconnect between Washington
and these bureaucrats and what people are experiencing on the ground in Georgia,
in your district. The same place I'm from, the type of folks in the same place that Sean's from.
Yes. Thank you so much for asking that. And it's been a great frustration of mine.
And I've been talking about it openly in Washington, saying it to the press,
saying it to my colleagues. Washington is tone deaf. Washington is disconnected
and not working for the American people. And people are so frustrated and disgusted.
They've become hopeless. They can barely pay their bills. They're sick and tired of the open
border national security crisis. They are absolutely disgusted with the Green New Deal
and the electric vehicle program that the Democrats want for us in the future.
And they are sick and tired of Washington, D.C., supporting everyone else's borders,
defending their borders and their foreign wars while Americans are dying every single day here
at home because of our border crisis. And they're tired of the corruption. They're tired of
politicians that are making money, doing everything wrong and illegal while Americans are going broke.
My voters here in Georgia hate Washington, D.C., and they're actually angry at Republicans
just as much as Democrats. Yeah, no doubt about that. Congresswoman,
you talked about the border crisis yesterday. There was a tragedy down in Texas involving two
residents from your district. A husband and wife were killed when a suspected human trafficker
crashed into their vehicle while trying to evade authorities. Fox News' Bill Malouf is going to
come up in one second, but I want to get your take on the tragedy that's going on on the border.
And it's not just in Texas. It's all around for every 50 state. Every community is feeling the
burden of this immigration crisis. It's terrible. This was Jose and Isabel Lerma,
just a couple from Dalton, Georgia, here in my district, regular Americans. They were traveling
through Texas to go visit family in Mexico. They have five children and their five children never
got to say goodbye to them. These are Americans that should have been able to travel safely,
but the federal government has failed them. The Biden administration has failed them.
I serve on the Homeland Committee, and honestly, I am sick and tired of committee hearings
where I hear these stories over and over again. I'm tired of the strongly worded letters. I'm
tired of the plans. And I really wanted someone to be held accountable. And that's why today I
introduced privileged resolution of articles of impeachment against Alejandro Mayorkas,
because he is absolutely, not only has he failed, but he has willfully, willfully opened up our
border and broken our laws while he is serving as the Secretary of Homeland. And Americans can't
wait anymore. I was so devastated when I found out about them being killed in Texas. I called
Tony Gonzalez, because that's his district. And Congressman Gonzalez is beyond frustrated.
These are stories he sees day in and day out. And so while I have been working hard on the
fentanyl deaths and overdoses that I commonly deal with in my district, I couldn't believe
that two ordinary Americans died, literally. Well, actually, we can say they were murdered
by someone that was smuggling human trafficking, illegal aliens into our country.
And so enough is enough. And it's time to hold someone accountable. And I have strong expectations
for my colleagues. It's time to vote the right way. We don't need to do revenge votes anymore.
It's not about whose name is on the resolution or the bill or the amendment. We need to do the right
for the American people. It's time to impeach Secretary Mayorkas.
And at every turn, Congresswoman, the Department of Homeland Security,
there was a statement that FLAC from DHS put out about the Republicans in the House,
how they've, quote, wasted months trying to score points with baseless attacks,
and how Mayorkas has been doing his job and working to keep Americans safe.
And I would go on. But that is spitting in the face of every American who believes in the rule
of law and spitting on the graves of every dead American, whether they died from fentanyl poisons
or in an automobile accident that was avoidable, and spitting in the face of every
grieving family member. It's an atrocity. It is. It is an atrocity. And not only are they
lying to America and making excuses, but they're lying to themselves. We have over 1.8 million
gotaways in this country. That could be thousands of terrorists. They've already arrested 73,000
special interest aliens. Those are aliens with known ties to terrorism or from countries that
harbor terrorists. Now, just imagine out of the 1.8 million gotaways, how many terrorists are in
that group? How many cartel members? How many murderers, rapists? We don't know who any of
these people are. So if they want to release statements making excuses like that, like you
said, they're spitting on the graves and they're spitting in American faces. And Americans aren't
going to believe that lie. They are living through this outrage while hotels are overflowing
and the streets are overflowing with illegal aliens and American taxpayers are being forced
to pay for it. While we fly across the country and our airplanes are filled with illegal aliens,
while our buses are consumed with busing and trafficking illegal aliens all over America to
all 50 states. So they can lie all they want to, but the American people know the truth and they
are sick and tired of the Biden administration's open border policies that serve migrants and serve
Americans last. That's right. Open up our borders and then lie to us that the border is secure.
It is outrageous and good for you for introducing that resolution. But Congresswoman, before you go,
we have to ask you about this. Earlier this week, the House passed your amendment to cut
Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg's salary down to just one dollar. So it's going to go to
the Senate. Is the Senate going to join you and have some common sense to cut Mayor Pete's salary
to one dollar? Well, they absolutely should do it because Mayor Mayor Pothole Pete, and that is a
that is a name for him that perfectly fits, has abused taxpayer dollars flown all over the country
on carbon emitting jet fueled airplanes and private jets, even flying to Canada to receive
an award based on his sexuality, which I found outrageous. It shouldn't be about those identity
politics. But American taxpayers pay for it. Never forget the video where he got caught pulling a
bicycle out of an out of a gas guzzling SUV so he could ride the bicycle to the White House and
pretend like he's all into green energy. This guy's a scammer. He's a liar. He's not qualified
to be the secretary of transportation, and he absolutely needs to be fired. That's what the
rule is for. And I come from the private industries, private business. I believe in
firing people, and I think people can tell that because I want to impeach Mayorkas,
and we definitely want to fire Pothole Pete. One dollar. I would use a different finger,
Congresswoman, but I value my job, so I'm using my index finger. Just one. Congresswoman Margie
Taylor Greene. God bless you. God bless you. Thank you. Thank you, Congresswoman. Good to see you.
