Mr Oster Iced Coffee Maker Review

hello guys and welcome back to my YouTube channel so I'm going to do a video very different from the type of content I usually do on my channel I'm going to be doing a review for this beautiful Oster iced coffee maker I love iced coffee I buy my iced coffee from everywhere and I want to see if I can make very good iced coffee right at home so this iced coffee maker is extremely affordable I'm gonna tell you exactly how much it is at the end of the video so stay tuned and keep watching so let's open it up and see what we have got all right so once you open it up this is exactly what it looks like on the inside and then we have the bad boy right here so let's bring her out all right so wiggle that up foreign [Music] so it comes with a tumbler and I'm really excited about that this is supposed to help you make the perfect half of iced coffee wow she's the beauty this is what the machine actually looks like it's supposed to also come with a reusable coffee filter which is environmentally friendly as you know so what I'm really excited about this for is because not only does it have the reusable coffee filter but it also has a little scoop so you can scoop your coffee grounds into the basket it literally has everything that you need and that's just so much fun for me um also the tumbler is double walled to keep your iced coffee colder for longer so I'm really happy about that also they have a claim on the box that is Brews perfect coffin under four minutes it does seem perfectly just saying you know boost your coffee in under four minutes I'm really excited to put that to the track okay so that's all the box come with you also have your instruction manual here and I believe there should be some recipes in here as well so that should be fun I actually need to confirm that but I I think they should have some okay so now we're gonna go ahead I want to clean it out I'm going to clean out the cup run a test cycle through it get it clean and then we're gonna make our first cup of coffee all right so now we're gonna move on it's very important we follow the instructions so I have it right here it's very important that you do not plug in the machine right away okay it says you start with the unit unplugged okay then the next thing we're going to do is fill the tumbler to the water marking with clean unfiltered water how we're gonna do that you just lift the lid up once you do that you remove the back the filter okay you also remove the basket right here and then once you do that you're going to see the water reservoir and inside the water reservoir there's a Max fill line I'm gonna point it to you not sure you can see but it says water no ice here so you don't put any ice inside the machine it just says water and there's a maximum level so we're just gonna take our water you're supposed to use clean filtered water I already have my cup of water and I'm going to pour it yeah I made a bit of a mess but that's fine we don't need to be perfect now that I have the water in um I didn't fill it all the way to the top just as instructed the next thing you're going to do is Place The Brew basket back on top of the reservoir and I'm making sure to follow the instructions exactly as they were provided so in case you watch this video and you don't want to bother with the instructions don't want to leave you wrong okay so once you place back the basket the next thing you want to do is uh place your filter back okay so first of all you feel the water after that you place the Brew basket back on top of the reservoir then place the reusable coffee filter or if you don't want to use that you can use the 12 cup basket style paper filter but we want to be environmentally friendly so we're going to use this one all right so then the next thing you're supposed to do is Slide the drip stop switch to open Okay so this right here is the drip stop I'm gonna get a piece of tissue right so the next thing we're gonna do is Slide the drip stop to open this you can see it's close you're gonna slide it all the way here to open okay that way you can actually start dripping I just got some tissue to clean a little bit okay so now that we've moved it to open right here using the coffee scoop we're going to put one level scoop of ground into the provided reusable coffee filter okay so now I'm gonna do some strange I don't have coffee grounds I have my insta coffee but we're gonna try it you're gonna try it so you're gonna see if that's gonna work for you as well all right so but it's best to stick with the instructions and use coffee grounds okay but right now don't be like me I made a mess but I like my coffee strong anyway so we're gonna scoop that into that now that that is done goes back oh my that coffee smells so good okay so now that's in there we're going to close the lid all right so now that we have our coffee and you're supposed to put 2 two scoops of coffee if you want a very bold coffee mix you know I'm not using the right coffee we're just gonna mess with this one right now and see how it goes but you can put two scoops of actual coffee grounds if you wanted to do this so the next thing we're going to do is fill the tumbler with large ice cubes so the ice marking so now once again I have my ice cubes almost to that point no this is water yeah and this is ice I don't want I don't like too much ice in my iced coffee but you can fill up your eyes all the way up here because I don't like too much I used to have my eyes all the way up here and then you're going to place your uh iced cubes in your tumbler over there the next thing you want to do is place the tumbler full of ice under the drip Sprout and plug the unit e and press the start button so you make sure the LED light is on so because my switch is over there I'm going to move on over a little bit for you so the start button is actually on the side of the coffee maker nut on the front so once the coffee maker is plugged in like mine is right now down here all we have to do is press the start button right now and let it drip so let's do it and you have to ensure that the LEDs illuminated as you can see the white light is turned on and now we're just going to wait three to four minutes for the coffee to start brewing hear it you can hear it oh this is so exciting in three to four minutes I'm going to have the perfect perfect coffee this is so exciting oh my gosh all right so once you're dripping as a really slow to this point you could move your stop drip over to the side so that it stops dripping like so and now you can add in your favorite coffee mix like Nescafe Starbucks whatever you like to add you can add it in so you can see my coffee didn't feel all the way up because I did not add the required amount of water I just put in a little bit because it's like a test run for me and uh because I'm using instant coffee I didn't want to make too much I can't wait to put in my coffee mix and let's see what we've got all right so I'm going to be using the International Delight French vanilla coffee creamer that's what I'm going to use I just dropped let me show y'all oh I just dropped one large ice cube because I wanted to be it's a bit more chilled right um so I just dropped that in there so I'm gonna now pour the creamer and let's see what we've got so something I really love about this creamers I get the one with the added sugar so I don't have to put any sugar in my coffee I just add this and it's good to go oh that looks so good all you have to do is take your straw and just give it a good Shake now I do like my iced coffee a little creamier so I'm going to add more cream okay so it's time to give it a taste test oh my God oh my God it's delicious it's oh my God it's very taste wow well you can tell because it's really dark okay so now here's what I've learned definitely don't use the scoops of the instant coffee because also I'm using a very strong coffee let me show you I use the Nescafe which intense and it tastes intense I like strong coffee so if you use this do not use a full scoop use about half as cooking strong I like it though like I would drink this kind of coffee when I want to edit my videos and I just want a strong boost of caffeine but yeah it's very strong I love it um and guess what it worked instant coffee absolutely worked and I can't believe that I'm glad I tried it you can try it too I don't know don't quote me I'm not sure if it has any impact on your machine I highly doubt it you can call the number they have the customer service to confirm um but yeah you can use your coffee grounds which is what you should use or if you don't have that instant coffee anyway I absolutely love these and I'm really excited I can make my own iced coffee right at home I also want to mention that this is like a two in one for me because it actually makes hot coffee but served over ice cubes then you get high coffee so it's like having a hot coffee maker an iced coffee as much coffee one two everything is hand washed do not attempt to put it in the dishwasher do not do that also it did not come with the recipes that was a mistake it didn't come with it you're gonna have to find your recipes on YouTube or just online okay and the last thing that I want to say is make sure that you use the right type of coffee all right follow the instructions and feel the ice to the recommended line yeah I should have done that do not use instant coffee um I said you can but no do not do not I tried it did it work yes I was able to make two coffees actually I made the first one and I made a second one which tasted much better was not as strong but I was left with a super sticky mess do not use instant coffee use the recommended ground coffee grounds and yeah I I really needed to say that I'm sorry that I said you could use instant coffee do not don't do it here's my second cup this time I used really big um ice and it's draping already oh it looks strong it looks strong oh it's very black coffee oh you can see it's hot look it went to a hole in the ice cubes all the way to the top okay all right so that is black now I think that's better don't like such uh two Bowl the coffee I like it stronger but maybe not too strong oh that's it hello you can see I got a lot more coffee this time foreign and it tastes much better too than the first one to be honest because it's not as bold it's not strong it's more creamy and more eyes you can see the eyes floating at the top this is absolutely delicious I actually love it yes I do oh this is a good try okay and I feel like I really don't mind trying out products like this um yeah this is great you should try it out [Music] foreign
