Carnivorous Plant Collection Update

hello and welcome back to the flower shop garden ooh in today's video I will be updating you guys and all of our kind of response that others is sprouting and we also need to change our setup in the garden a little bit and I'll explain why in this video so stick around so this is our collection of seeds that still need to germinate these guys have been sitting in this water tray for about 8 weeks now these guys at the back have been sitting here for 12 weeks and none of them have germinate again I don't know why they haven't germinated yet some of them might need a stratification parent such as the fella formas or some of them may have just been really bad seed or old seed which does not make sense because some of them I actually harvested the seeds myself from an old collection actually the majority of these seeds are harvested myself so I'm really confused as to why they're not coming up but I will still give them a couple more months I'm into springtime before I just say that they all dead and none of them have come up we have admirable Asst ramadasa anglican Bonato Lussier and even some capensis that haven't come up and this is really weird because I harvested these Moxie's myself and they're capensis seeds they should be coming up so this really does not make any sense to me but as I say we'll give it some more time these are all our tuberous seeds and we have plants together and they are starting to come up now because of this really cold weather that were experiencing you have trustor of Kerry coming up Dani Anna Tyler Sao Paulo or regulator as well as Pelt are busy coming up so we need to move these guys out in the garden and this is where our issues start coming up with having to redo our setup so Roger you asked and see our garden collection these are all of our seedlings that have sprouts and and that are busy growing and there are a couple of issues that I want to address firstly the way that we had defense previously was going around and back was like this that meant that we had to open up this fence from the back here and only be able to look at the plans from the back and I really did not like that as a clue and read the names halves and also these do chicle area here I could not check up on because these tall putts were in the way of them and I don't want to reach over and secondly the ground is obviously not level and this means that our water tastes as it means that the water is being pushed to the back let's start with our trucks our region that we fed yesterday hope you guys can see it but these two seatings that we have fed yesterday and now actually eating the fish takes that we gave them and this means they should hopefully you start putting on some good growth in the coming weeks next up let's look at all capensis that are starting to come up check how much these guys have grown since we last saw them together you can actually see propper traps now and you can see them growing yes some more capacity although you can see some capensis red and here are some LCS right here are our venus flytraps and we featured in the previous video and just above them we have our sarracenia seedlings that are starting to sprout can you guys see that sprout are out there in the sense of the screen this is our sarracenia purpurea business party and just next to it we have our sarracenia flowers and next to them we have our darling Tanya seedlings busy growing isn't it great to see how much they have grown since we lost updated 2000 them some of them are starting to put out the secondary leaves and they cause of Iran's are fully out of their seeds I'm super glad with how these guys are going next up we have some unknown ceilings here this was actually given to us as a pack of mixed trust receipts and these ceilings look lateral roots and Athaliah which I've never had before and I'm super glad to have them growing with us today at the back we have our dresser or if you lots of seedlings over here we have some the NASA seedlings maybe they are bonanza we're not actually very sure because they were also given to us as unknown seeds and all the way down here we have our new trickle area here we have your trickle area bugle hurry on a pot full of new chick marabou schemata and another pot right next to the huge circle area the schemata but a purple version and you actually can't find any leaves I've just noticed that many of the leaves are actually gone now and I think this is simply because it is winter time and the leaves are not gonna be growing out in winter right above them you can see the massive tuberous in there super tall pots and isn't it so much easier now to actually look at our plants without having to worry about crushing these cars and reaching over them and also putting the names now is so much easier as you can see we have some sterling myth right here I still need a sprout patapata then see a granita color here that has a spot coming up some Anderson Jana that we spoke about in a previous video but for growth points looking a supersuit oh good the cola that's thought to come up and arame but the real stars of the show Arashi at the back a cran thir modesta Pulido micrantha rock outcrop beautiful to come as well and if you guys wanna see specific videos of each of these plants make sure that you subscribe to the channel because we will be posting videos about each and every one of our species here and talking about each of them independently don't forget to do that okay now that I've updated you guys on the plants we need to level out all of their trays and this is actually quite difficult as I don't really want to put sand underneath them and I don't wanna dig into the ground because I'm renting this house this is not a house of our own the only thing that I can really do is put some old leaf and grass clippings underneath to try and level it out and it's worked pretty well so far and this just means that it decomposes and this causes the trays to dump in certain spots so we just need to move them out and fix that up okay so I am mostly worried about this tray the rest of the trays I will give them some more time to let the soil beneath them level out and before we fix them even if their duty do need to be fixed I'll be focusing on this first traitors this is the one that has the biggest and greatest amount of issues so whelmed something I do is on a tick pots out and look underneath them and see what exactly is going on to cause all beat ups in the tray okay you guys probably can't see this very well on camera but the tray is bent and there is also a little spot in here so let me get him out oh that man is attack from the answer attacking the spider what the whole trip on the spiders with the spot is basking the leaf he has the spider just so you Austin see what I'm talking about I think man he he's eating he was stuck in that water trying is eating something this is this is my straightening spiders man that's what things that are dead look like so what I'm doing now I'm putting the grass in the middle because the tray was folding the inwards so by putting some more grass in the middle we can prevent the tray from falling in words and attract a bit more apprised next up I am putting some cross here at this end because it is so heavy with all the tuberous putts on the one side that this side constantly fouled backwards down into the ground so by Reznor up more we can hopefully get it more level so let's try it now I'm still worried about the TRACON caving in the middle because there are still a bit of a dip right now so I want to put some more glass in the middle that looks much better now when you put weight into it it's gonna look like looks like it will flatten out nicely so now let's put all of our tubers draw her back and we actually gonna put them back in a more strategic way so that the long tuberous the long erect forms are to breast rostra and not growing on top of each other because what Schubert Strasser do is that they like to fall into things and grab onto them so they think clam and I don't want them to be climbing on top of each other what I will eventually do as I will get some steaks for them and put them and allow them to grow up on the steaks but for now I'm gonna keep them separate so that they don't grow on top of each other because I just noticed something very weird when I put this part in it looked like there's like oil or something in the water and that's obviously not a good sign because there was that shimmer you guys might have seen it but that is very weird I wanna go get my TDS meter and double-check this water we're at 26 parts per million let me go check the source the source of water which is rainwater I'm after sitting and getting a little bit of dirt and stuff in it twenty-one parts per million so definitely there is some kind of like oil or something I just spilled in that so let me get rid of all this water and you'll fill it back up guys I found the source what the hole it's coming off of the bug that's literally coming off of an insect guys you know what it is it's one of those ladybug pupae and secreting these oils and I think that this is actually defense mechanism that they have against predators he may knock them off of their growing positions because obviously it was on one of those pots I knocked it off now and it's doing that that's kind of interesting but I don't know how could because it may damage the pond so let's remove it he doesn't see a soft touch they stopped making that oil so yeah super strange okay all of the tubers are back let's put the utricle Aryan okay they're all back in and now let's fill up the water tray again now the reason why we have the utricle area and the tuberous truster in the big part together is because the utricle area and small parts in these guys are always in big pots and these small pots can get much more water when this is completely filled up and you check the area love the water and the other hand the tubers dresser they lack water in the growing season but they don't lack the water all the way up to the top in cultivation as far as I know so by having these water tray is about half full the prawns the tubers bronze can get enough water for themselves they'll be happy with this amount of water and you took the area are completely full with tons and tons of water and this means that they can go together in one tray and all the others can continue growing in their own trays so last thing to do is just fill up all these water trays with some more nice clean water okay guys so we've got all the trays now wadded up as you can tell and I've got an extra empty gas that we can measure out how much extra fence we need to put around these guys for the tubers trucks for seedlings and we're not gonna move the seedlings just yet because I wants a couple more than to germinate before we put the mass but I want to measure them all out now so we have to move and change everything again in the future so they'll start doing that okay so that the way that we want to make this fence I want the fence to open up over here as you can see my hand is which is essentially the left further leftmost tray and then have the rest of defense go around and to the back so that we can open up the fence from the front and have an opportunity to see the prongs from the front as I explained and no longer from the back and I've brought some help because I've learned that it's not good to do this by yourself because you'll kill some parts let's try and do this okay so as you can see we thought it around couldn't open it up from here so we put it down there so yeast and the pin is not an eyeshadow in the afternoons yeah but as you guys can see it's very wobbly and we need to get some mistakes now more urgently than before so I'm not sure what I'm gonna do I think we're gonna try on some old wooden stakes because they're cheaper yeah we will do that but it's okay for now it's not that wobbly but it will get much worse and also need a figure out something for a roof because obviously they if it rains we have no ways to put the carpet over them anymore because it is so obviously so much longer now with it tray and so yeah we have quite a few things that we need and fix I hope you guys enjoyed this little bit of an
