Hi, this is your girl Cheyi Obase. Today I'm going to take a ride. I'm going to show you the streets
of Canada and then the peculiarities of driving in Canada as against driving from where you're
coming from. So let's go. Okay so one thing about driving in Canada is that they have like a
gradient driving system which means that no matter how experienced you are in driving, you need to
which involves like the written test where you're tested on road signs and you're also tested on
your understanding of you know the way to drive in Canada and after you have passed that that's
when you're going to do what is called the road test. Okay so you have to do a driving test,
written test, then you do a road test as well. You have to pass this test no matter how experienced
of a driver you are before you are given a driving license. Okay so right now we're going into
what we call an express road where you get to drive at like 100 kilometers per hour
and this is one of the things you are also tested on how you are able to merge into the express
It's scary at first but then you get used to it and it's not that scary. Okay
so here we go. Okay so and a lot of times we also you also get to share the road with people who
ride bicycles and people who use other maybe two-wheel drives and you need to be very careful
when you see someone with a bicycle on the road because if you as a car hit anyone with a bicycle
or a pedestrian you're going to be in a lot of trouble and then because a lot of us might be
coming from countries where we don't obey traffic signs we don't know much about road signs we might
have a little bit of difficulty because in Canada these road signs and traffic signs are very very
important for you to like know how it works you know how to obey them okay
So one other thing we are driving in Canada is look out for pedestrians that are trying to cross
the road and then when you're making a left turn you need to be very careful. I think left turns
are one of the most difficult things to do so because you're also turning when the cars
opposite you are also moving. Hi I hope you enjoyed our little ride on Canada road.
