FULL MATCH ｜ Ruwen FILUS vs Quadri ARUNA ｜ MS R32 ｜ #WTTGoa 2024

has developed although he'll usually just push and block with that side it's going to be very difficult for phyllis to defend the big bomb beforehand so he's gonna have to mix and vary it and maybe try and get a few more into the back end of quadri that said phyllis has beaten some very very high level hitters before such as ugo calderano so even against more driven attackers he can shop but it's uh versatility that's the name of the game and he's gonna have to constantly try and mix it to disturb aruna how quickly he can twiddle to get that flashy backhand into play even though he's a defender it can be a guessing game for the attacker didn't even make it over the edge there of the table and aruna here five three up brilliant from quadri aruna here and phyllis chop smash he sends it up to the sky can't get over that one phyllis races in this is one of the best rallies of the event well it's going on here all the fans have just got their tickets worth in a single point 29 shots we're tossing grenades at each other there must be knackering for these two you can surely allow them to take your breath after that if you're the umpire nice twiddle from phyllis oh it catches the edge from the backhand side of aruna we ought to even get there to be honest some more kind of shovel action not completely coming around the side of it aruna but nice and tight to the forehand of phyllis these two play in the same team in the bundesliga they play for fulda so they will know each other very very well indeed sometimes it's an indication of two players who know each other so well you know when there's so many long points because phyllis is a chopper as well always helps the entertainment value of a match and he's the best to do it it's unfortunate they're meeting at this stage because it'd be a loss to not have either of them in the round of 16 with what they across the body from phyllis there he must have a sort of slower wood base blade obviously the top players like carbon often get that speed but the way phyllis attached with the forehand it looks like he's got the fastest bat on the planet you hear the woes from the crowd the jaws are on the floor as well aruna with three game points comes in and look at that swoop pulls the rug beneath quadri aruna there to save it some crafty ruin phyllis on a counter from the nigerian and african number one to even see the seeds meet this is round 32 dismissive blink and you miss it which is typical of nigerian players when you think of nigerians you think of that shot there as well as the kind of flamboyant backhand serve almost every nigerian top player i've ever seen has been good at the back of the table as well good at kind of scrambling and keeping in the rally second toriola a legend for them comes to mind look like he made the harder one there aruna and tried to switch after phyllis played his forehand slap sue bringing out the most of each other physically here sleep well tonight regardless of the outcome falls back aruna can recover out quick enough what an instinctive block there from ruin phyllis out of nowhere doesn't it once more side or edge there may be a dispute here let's have a look at this one taken from outside the table i don't think so really really now remember these two are teammates in the german league makes it a bit more interesting what's going on here look to go down from that angle from outside all it has to do is hit one percent a fantastic moment of sportsmanship or maybe you just wanted to get an extra point and then give aruna one back who knows blow by blow from germany's ruin phyllis fit the bill hasn't it is not failed to disappoint this one here nine all serves back with phyllis this goes a little bit too big on it the german and it's game point to quadri aruna oh the top edge of his racket there yes it did fortune on the back end but not to be that time just trying to spread aruna around not affected by the net and a roar from the nigerian king quadri aruna you're gonna have to fight like mad in the air with all that backspin good start from the german beautiful play gliding around that backhand doesn't land it's almost a tennis backhand the standard range of isn't it the levels courtesy of that miss serve when it's high like that you know who's gonna slap it and send it to the barriers untouchable stuff it was the one into the middle that set it up of quadri aruna because when you're playing a defender there's more questions on your control game and aruna's done really well knows he shouldn't be missing i hope draining out of the german we've just got it back with a tomahawk quadri aruna tomahawk glob it's crazy right there the reaction of phyllis says it all being at his best but i think aruna has snatches it that time as well the crowd just gasping how a defender can even do that look at that a 3-0 win to quadri aruna good embrace by the two teammates in the german league
