Day 21 of 34
#betoorourke rourke #Politicians
I'm with Josie Papas and we're in Laredo, Texas.
We're right by the North Central Park.
Josie, I met on my first visit to Laredo during the campaign.
This is our eighth visit now.
And she has kindly agreed to join us as we walk door-to-door
in this neighborhood, just introducing ourselves to voters,
inviting them into this election, finding out what's on their mind.
This ability to knock on our fellow Texans' doors
and introduce ourselves is so powerful.
Knocking on doors is the best, the surest way to make a connection
that the person on the other side of that door will never, ever forget.
This is our sixth visit to McAllen.
We've been to the Rio Grande Valley many more times.
But the sixth time we've been able to have a meeting with those
that we want to serve, that we want to represent,
that we want to listen to, that we want to better understand
so that we can deliver for McAllen and the Rio Grande Valley
in the United States Senate.
Starting right here in Brownsville.
And we will lead the way forward for the things that we care about,
for the United States of America, for each and every single one of us,
for making sure that we can all live to our genes, whatever that is.
If we, together, decide that we're going to knock on those doors,
make those phone calls, we're going to get us elected
and do something great for Texas, great for the United States of America,
great for this generation, and great for every generation that follows.
Brownsville, thank you for having us out.
Hi. Can I get a triple meat water burger?
This is Cassandra Hernandez on the El Paso City Council.
Amazing public leader.
So I got a Beto.
This is called the Beto.
I call it the Beto triple water burger threat.
That's awesome.
