Today, we're going to draw a rocket ship.
Are you ready?
First, we're going to imagine a long almond shape.
That's kind of like an oval, except it has pointy ends.
We're going to start right up here at the top,
and draw a curved line going down.
We're going to go most of the way,
but then stop right here.
Then we're going to draw another one on the other side,
going down,
curving around,
going down,
and stopping about the same place we did on the other side.
Now, we're going to draw a straight line across
from this end to this end.
Now, we're going to go to the top
and just make a little curved line
to create a nose cone,
which is like the cap at the very top of the rocket ship.
Now, we're going to draw a window.
Let's do a circle-shaped window
here on the inside of the rocket ship.
Just a circle going round and around.
Then let's draw another circle on the inside of that circle
very carefully
so that the round window has a border around it.
There we go.
There is our window.
Now, let's draw a cool stripe across the rocket ship
here on the bottom.
Just draw a line going across
and then we need to make another line
so that it creates a band.
Next, we're going to draw the fins on the rocket.
Let's imagine a triangle on this side of the rocket.
We're going to start right here
and going down to the side
and then back up to the bottom corner of the rocket.
Now, let's do another triangle on this side
going down towards the other side
pointing outwards
and then connecting to the bottom corner of the rocket ship.
Do you see those two triangle fins we just made?
Alright, next we're going to draw the engine exhaust part.
Just a long skinny rectangle
on the bottom of the rocket ship.
Let's add some little lines
so that this part of the rocket ship looks a little bit different
because this is the part that will blast the rocket ship into outer space.
Alright, this last part is so fun.
We're going to draw the flames.
Let's imagine the letter M
so we'll go up, down, up, down
and we'll draw some curved lines
connecting the rocket ship to this letter M
on both sides
and there we go!
We just made some awesome flames for our rocket ship
and it's ready for takeoff!
Good job, guys!
Now, we are going to color.
You can watch me, but I'm going to fast forward through this part.
I'm going to pick gray for the main part of the rocket ship
and I'm just using markers, but you can use crayons
or colored pencils or whatever you have.
We're just going to color this part gray
but you can color it any color you want
because a rocket ship will look cool in any color you pick.
Alright, let's keep coloring down here in the same color
and then we're going to choose another color
to color the other parts of the rocket ship.
I'm going to color the nose cone red
and the band a red color
and this ring around the window in red
and the fins in red
but you can color all these parts in any color you want
or even in different colors.
Now I'm going to choose the color blue
to color my round window
and I think I'm going to go back and grab my gray marker
and color this exhaust part the same gray color.
Now I'm going to grab orange
and color the fire in this burning hot orange color.
And there we go!
Our rocket ship is all colored!
It looks awesome! Good job guys!
Now, the last part.
Let's write the words ROCKET SHIP.
Just find any empty space on your paper.
Let's start with the letter R
O
C
K
E
T
That spells ROCKET.
Now S
H
I
P
ROCKET SHIP!
Let's launch this thing!
