when in Europe a lot of the architecture
that you see are the centuries old
buildings including some magnificent
churches but in reram you'll be treated
to some of the most unique architectural
buildings seriously I'm not sure there's
a right angle on a lot of the buildings
I saw and it was
wonderful whether it's the
markthal the old train
bridge or the bright and playful Cube
houses there's something around every
corner that catches the
eye however today I wanted to give you a
glimpse of the iconic aramus bridge I
was lucky enough to be present during
its raising and lowering which allows
the city's ample boat traffic
through the Aramis Bridge was designed
by Ben van burkel construction began in
1989 and was completed in
1996 It's a combination of a cable stay
and basal Bridge it's constructed of 139
M high steel pylon with 40 cables and
has a total length of
2,631
Ft the bridge crosses the new M River in
the center of rer Dam and connects the
North and South parts of the
city its nickname is the swan because of
its unique asymmetrical
design to accommodate the flow of river
traffic the bridge is raised and lowered
at various times throughout the
day sit back and enjoy this amazing feat
of engineering

as the siren alerts pedestrians that
they're free to cross the bridge it
comes with a certain satisfaction that
humans can build some amazing
things thanks for joining me on the
