A Dual Sport Lunch

It was finally nice enough to take a cruse up into the mountains. I check out a new dirt road that leads to a YMCA camp along the Platte River and find a nice spot for a proper Dual Sport Lunch.
What's happening guys? Well, we're out at Deckers. So you guys have probably heard me talk about
Deckers before, and if you go south on Platte River Road, which we've been on, you eventually
arrive here. Dumps you off at 285, goes to Woodland Park, and that way on way on up that
way it goes up to 70. But we're doing neither of those. We're taking option C. And when you own a
dual sport motorcycle, option C is always the option. That couple right there is really nice.
They're from Western Kansas. This is their first time up here. So I was just giving them a little
info. And this, my friends, is option C. Now hopefully we won't encounter too much ice. If we
do, I'm going to turn around. But all the dirt that I've been on so far has been okay.
But as you can see, there's still some still some ice and snow on the roads. But it's just
I've only been up here once, and I didn't go very far. But we're looking for a sweet spot to have
lunch. We're taking a dual sport lunch. And that puts me on to what I want to tell you guys about.
So those of you that have been around a while know that I've been watching Everide.
And one of my favorite videos Everide's done is the dual sport lunch. Now it was back when he had
his KLR. And he leaves from work, and he tears off into the mountains and goes out for lunch.
And I thought that was just fantastic. And I do that all the time when I when I make these videos
for you guys. Sometimes I bring a little sandwich in the backypack. Stop and have me a little bite
to eat. Oh, this has a really cool, not really a hill climb, but a cool little hill to ride up.
That's cool. But it's just gorgeous back here. And I've only been to the other side of this hill,
so I don't know where it goes after that. But back to what I was saying.
Everide. I have finished watching all 290 some Everide videos.
Get up that hill, Z. No. But I've finished watching all 290 some of Everide's videos.
And since Everide didn't really win the contest,
I thought a nice little nice little prize for him for being such a sport and answering all my
comments and, you know, just being a great moto vlogger, putting up content that is, you know,
second to none, really, I think so. I'd let him choose the next moto vlogger that I watch.
So I asked him a couple of days ago, and he's been off doing some family things that we talked
about. But Mr. Everide, I need you to choose, brother. There's a good there's a good list of
people, but I'm getting itchy. I need I need my YouTube fix. I need to watch my moto vlogs.
Man, if they made a moto vlog channel and it was a subscription channel, I'd buy it. I'd pay for it.
Maybe. If I had cable. But I'm running out of stuff to watch on Netflix and
all those kinds of things. No trespassing that way. Don't see any signs this way.
So we'll keep it going. And man, I'm loving it. It's got to be about 50 degrees.
And even though there's snow on the ground, it's gorgeous. And I've just been cruising all
afternoon. The only thing the only thing I don't want to do is get caught out here after dark
because that temperature plummets very quickly. And I still got to go back up over the mountains
onto the Denver side. So it'll be really, really cold up there. Oh, this is too cool. All right.
Man, there are so many so many of these kind of dirt roads around here. I can't wait until spring
again because I'm going to be taking you guys on some really good trips coming up.
Well, that brings me to another thing that I wanted to say. So big welcome to all my new
subscribers. It was insane, man. In the the week or two after we went out to New Mexico and visited
Yamajo, I gained like a hundred and one hundred and fifty almost subscribers and I got to 300.
And I was talking to the guys and I was like, guys, I can't do another big trip right now.
I'm like, I'm going to go broke doing this. But what I decided is the next the next biggie is
going to be for 500 if I make it to 500. Hopefully I do. But so we'll do we'll do something cool for
500 subs. But thank you all very much. You rock. Another another goal accomplished. 300 subs.
Oh, I'm doing her private road now through traffic. I wonder if they would mind if I
just peaked my head in for a second. What do you say? You're entering a community of caring,
honesty and respect and responsibility. Those are good, good things to live by.
Well, I don't want to go too far up into their place, but but that's cool. So this must be the
camp. And you see where all this where all this wood is missing, like you can see up in there,
the burnt stumps. This is where the fire came through and it must not have gone over on that
side of the hill. But I think we're gonna head back down and find somewhere to have a nice little
bite to eat. What do you say? Maybe I'll give you guys some cool shots from down there. But
those are the messages that I wanted to deliver. And I'll sign off with just a big thank you.
You guys are great. And I can't wait, man. March 14th and 15th. Moab. 17. 17 moto vloggers
attacking the trails. All right, so I got a question for you guys that are actually moto
vloggers and not just watchers. What what are you guys most looking forward to in in Moab?
What trail do you really have your eye on? What do you really set on?
We're going to be having some some ranging and difficulty trails for the more experienced guys
and some of the regular trails for the rest of us. So I mean some of those trails are insane.
But what I'm really looking forward to is the White Rim Trail. And I'm super excited to do that.
And I just hope somebody brings a little extra gas because my my my little my little 2.6 gallon
tank doesn't have the ability to go as far as I need to go. So I might make it three quarters
of the way through the White Rim Trail and just build a shack. I might build me a little hobo
shack until until Obama comes and puts a note on it and doesn't doesn't let me stay there anymore.
Dang it's uh public lands. But anyway guys thank you so much for hanging out. Thank you so much
for watching the videos. 32 miles we got plenty of gas. Where is it? Here it is.
And that my fellow dual sport riders is how you do a proper dual sport watch.
