I'm going to add some pictures into this.
Now notice how this one has the watermark in the back.
So I'll show you how we can do that.
Notice how this picture appears to be in front of the other
picture. I'll show you how to do that and so on.
So let's go into this kind of topics first.
So I'm going to add a picture. So of course we have many tools.
So I'll pick on the tools menu and then from here we'll pick on edit.
And then you can see how you have a lot of good tools there.
So I'll pick on add an image.
An image could be a picture from your computer or it could be a picture from
online. So let's go into,
let's go into my pictures folder and let's say I want to get, okay,
so we'll use the gas pump again. All right,
so I'm going to move this picture over here. All right,
now I'm going to get the plane now.
So I'll say add another image and we'll get the plane. All right.
So of course I would resize that using the size and handles.
Now, if I move my mouth, the plane onto the gas tank,
notice how it looks like the plane is on top of the gas tank. Okay.
So then there's many things that we can do to manage that picture.
Notice over here on the right hand side, we have the objects.
So we have the objects section. So in this case,
if we start to click around on this one,
I'm going to send it to the back and watch what will happen.
Now the gas tank is in front of the plane. You see what's happening.
So you can layer your objects like that and start to make more,
more dynamic presentations, lay your pictures.
So I'm going to bring that to the front again. I still have the plane selected.
I'm going to click on that same icon over here and I'll say, bring to the front.
And now the plane is in front of the gas tank.
Now when we take a look at that menu, bring to the front,
brings it all the way to the front. It makes it the foremost object on the,
on the page. Send to the back,
makes it the item that's in the back as far as back of everything else.
If you have three pictures or more,
then these two over here can make a difference. Bring forward.
We'll make it one level up. So if it was the third level,
that'll bring it to the second level and send backward. We'll send it one,
one level back. So it was on the first level.
We'll bring back to the second level.
So this brings it all the way to the front.
This brings it all the way to the back. This brings it one level up.
Like if you have three pictures,
it will bring that one level up and this will bring it one level back. All right.
So those can be very helpful for you. Then, uh, we can also rotate that plane.
So let's take a look at the rotate tools. In this case, if I click on the flip,
see how the plane is pointing towards the right.
Now it's actually upside down, right? So that's going to be flip.
And then this one will flip the other way.
Now it's pointing to the left and pointing to the right. Uh,
now I'd like to get rid of some of that sky on that plane.
So that's called a crop. I'm going to go ahead and click on the crop tool.
You have to pick on the picture first. Otherwise these don't light up. Uh,
I'll pick on the crop tool.
Now I get the black edges and I'm just going to take some of the sky off the
plane, as you can see.
So when we have a picture or an image on the
document,
then you can click on that picture and then pick on the,
the objects tab over here, as you can see, to start to do some great things.
Now, uh, another thing that I'd like to do is maybe I'd like to have a hyperlink.
So let's add some text here and I'll just go ahead and add a
simple text box. And I'll say,
click here to go to the website
or it could even be an email address. So I'll have another text and I'll say,
um, click here to email
support. So watch what I'll do now at this point,
I'm just going to go back to the selection tool and we're going to go ahead and
pick on that text when I highlight the text. Now, in this case,
I want to add a hyperlink onto that.
So we pick on the word link here and I'm going to add, uh,
a web link or a document link. So when I click on that,
it can go to a webpage or it can go to a, um,
a document on your computer. So we're going to highlight that text. Good.
So in this case, obviously you can, uh,
change the style of the link,
but what I really wanted to show you here would be a website.
Now you can type in a website or sometimes the history will come up.
So I'll pick on Aurora training and I'll click on. Okay.
So now that's an, uh, that's a live link.
So when you move your mouse there, then it will be a live link.
So notice let's get the selection tool again.
Notice I just clicked on that and it brought me to the Aurora website.
So we made the document very interactive as you can say.
Let's go back to Adobe again. Now, um, in this way,
I want to make that an email. So we're going to add another link.
We'll pick on link again. And then you can see, uh,
it could be a website or a document. Let's see if we can get an email to work.
So I'll click there. I'm going to highlight the text.
So in this case, it could be a page view, a file. Uh,
I'm going to go ahead and try to do an email address in there. Now,
I'll see what it just did now, uh, because I picked on custom,
I picked on actions and then there's many things you can do from there.
We can exit, uh, execute a menu item. That would be one of the menus, uh,
from Adobe go to a 3d multimedia view, which I'll show you shortly,
go to a page view.
So this makes the link do a lot of different things as you can say.
So that's a little bit different than a hyperlink.
So let's go back to this again. Uh,
so I'm going to go ahead and click on cancel. I'm going to pick on link.
I'm going to highlight that text again. So we'll try, uh,
open a webpage and I'll pick on next. So in this case,
it will be either a webpage or a file. All right.
So we have a great way to add a hyperlink into our document.
Now let me go to a different document.
I'm going to go back and forth between different documents today. All right.
So let's take a look at this one.
I'm actually going to save this as a different name so that, uh,
I want to use that for a different purpose in a little while. So I'll pick on,
uh, choose a different folder and I'll just call that, uh, version two.
I want to use this one for different purposes. Pretty soon.
Watch how we can add a hype, a watermark on to the back of this document.
So we're going to pick on the tools menu and I'll pick on edit again.
Now notice how we do have the watermark there.
And we're going to add a new watermark. So the watermark could be text.
So let's say I want that to say a sample. All right.
Notice how the word sample is there. Now I want that to be an angle.
So say a 45 degree angle. Good.
And now I want that to be not as dark as that. So look what we'll do.
We'll change the, uh, opacity. Good. That looks great.
I'll click an okay. Notice now the word sample is there as the watermark,
right? Now, of course it can also be a picture.
So I'm going to delete that one. Watch again. We'll pick on watermark.
I'll pick on ad. I'm going to go ahead and replace the existing one,
which is fine. If you want to add a picture,
you pick on the file and then we'll pick on browse.
So again, I'll go back to the picture folder.
Good. And we'll use, uh, the company logo.
So, uh, let's say we'll use the planet again. All right.
So I'll pick on open and then notice how,
obviously I want that to be a more, uh, opaque.
So I'm going to bring this back. That's better. That's too light.
That's better. And then of course we can adjust the size of that. Uh,
so I'm going to go ahead and click on. Okay.
And now we added a watermark onto the doc document. All right.
So now another thing that we could do right from this window is the header and
the footer. Of course,
the header will appear on the top of every page and the footer will appear on
the bottom of every page.
So then imagine the header is to the left center and right.
And the footer is on the left center and the bottom as well.
I mean the left center and right of the bottom.
So I want the page number on every page. Uh, so let's say I want that.
Okay. On the left header text is fine. And then down here, I'll say,
let's say what the date on the bottom.
And then down here we'll say the company name.
Good. And at this point I'll click an okay.
And now we can see that each page is going to have a company name.
And over here we have the date and the page number.
So that was called the header and footer.
Now I'm going to open up some new tools here. So we pick on the tools menu.
Let's see what the multimedia tools are like.
So we're going to come down here and we'll say rich media.
Now everybody to use the rich media tools. You have to,
the first time that you do it, it's going to ask you to install flash.
Flash is another Adobe product.
So you have to install flash the first time. It'll, it'll let you know that.
But what you would do is basically go up to the site,
adobe.com slash products slash flash player dot HTML.
From there, it'll give you a place where you can download that.
So I'll pick on Adobe flash player, you know, and then you'll be able to download it.
And then now if you had to get that by itself,
if you want to make flash files,
you'd have to get the flash builder and that will be an extra cost.
But just to display the flash, that'll be a free download.
So let's go back to Acrobat. Now let's check out some of the 3d tools.
First, I'm going to add a sound.
So this would be most of your sound files will work here. All right.
So I'm going to go ahead and add a sound and then you highlight a part of the
document where you want that to appear.
So I'm going to highlight this part of the document. Then you select a file.
So we'll pick on browse and we're going to go ahead and pick a sound file.
Notice how it's MP3 format.
So we'll go back to the desktop folder and I'm a huge Tom Petty fan.
So I have some Tom Petty music here. So we'll pick on,
this is always a go in. Now it's importing that file, everybody.
It'll take a second. Now, if you didn't have flash,
this would not work. So it would tell you,
it will give you a link up here where you would be able to download the flash.
Once you download the flash, it will play.
So I'm going to go ahead and click there. Okay. So now look what happens.
The flash is on, but it says it's been disabled for this one file.
So I'm going to come over here and I'll pick on options.
And I'll say, trust this this one time,
or you can also say trust the document always. Okay.
So now when I click on the play,
it should start to go. So that's what you would do.
You would have to make sure that the flash is installed and then that will start
to play. All right.
So I'm going to go ahead and let's go back to the normal document now.
So let's turn on those 3d tools again.
So I picked on tools and then rich media. Okay, good.
So let's add some more of these.
Now this one is a file that would have been made by the actual flash builder
program. So let's try one of those. Again,
you click on that and you're going to highlight a part of the document and then
we're going to browse for that file.
So this one will be under the downloads folder and I'll use this one that's
called wheel. So with this flash builder,
you can make your own movies and your own animations and things like that.
So I'm not going to show you how to make those files.
That would be a different session, but Adobe Accurate that can play those.
So I'll pick on open there. All right.
So I'm going to click on, okay,
give it a second. Good.
Now this one would also be where the flash would have to be enabled.
So I'm going to click there and you can see how that wheel is moving.
So that would have been made with the flash builder. No problem with that.
Any of the, as you see, any of the SWF files would work there.
That's fine. You can move these of course,
and you can resize those as you need to. I'm going to disable that one.
So another thing we can add onto our document is videos.
So let's go ahead and add a video.
And then again,
you're going to highlight the part of the document where you want that to appear
and it can be anywhere and we'll browse for that one. In this case,
I believe I have it in my desktop folder. There it is.
I have this one that's called globe. So I'll pick an open.
And again, that one would also require flash to be installed.
Once you install flash, it'll be there from that point forward.
Now in this case,
I'm going to play the video and then actually I'd like to see that as a full
screen.
So I'm going to right click on that and I'll say full screen and then we see the
actual video of the globe. All right. So that was a,
now that one needs an MP4 file and MP4 format is what's going to work there.
So let's go back to those tools again.
The sound is MP3 files.
This one is going to be the SWF file extension that are made with the flash
builder. And this one is a video that's an MP4 file.
I'll do a 3d in just a second. Now,
if you notice everybody this one that's called add 3d. Now,
that would be a special kind of file as well. So it would work the same way.
Click on add 3d and I'm going to go ahead and highlight that section.
And now it's looking for files of, of these kinds of extensions. Okay.
Now in setting up the, uh, the class,
I couldn't find a file with those extensions. However,
I found an example that has a 3d file.
So let's go ahead and open up a different Adobe Acrobat file here.
So I'll click on file and then I'm going to go to this one that actually does
have the 3d object on there.
So, uh, once we have that,
this would also have to be used with flash.
I'm going to click on that. Now watch what we can do with this 3d object.
Now, even here, it says 3d content has been disabled.
I'm going to pick on options and I'll pick on trusted for this one time only,
or trust it always. Okay, good. So now it's enabled.
So watch what I can do with this. Give it a second.
So I can rotate that in many ways.
It's really a 3d object. I can turn it that way
and flip it the other way.
So really we get a very detailed view of that because it's a 3d object.
So again, I couldn't really find any files.
I was trying to find some files to demonstrate that here in the webinar,
but I, um, I didn't find the exact graphic,
but I found a PDF that had one of these 3d models on there and it works
perfectly right now. If I right click on that,
then there's a lot of things we can do with that 3d object.
So we go into the tools.
You'll see a lot of great things here.
Now I'm going to go ahead and talk about the measurement tools pretty soon,
but the 3d object has the measurement tools.
So let's go ahead and flip this engine a little bit.
Good. Okay. Well that's fine. Uh, so no,
no polling questions today. Everybody actually,
somebody does have another question. Okay. That was from you. Okay. No problem.
All right. So we're good with that.
I just wanted to make sure it wasn't somebody else's question. Uh,
so let's take a look at that. So now I'm looking at this,
I'm looking at this turbine engine and I'm going to go ahead and right click on
it and I'll pick on the tools.
And then notice that we have the 3d measurement tool.
I'm going to talk about the normal measurement tool in just a second,
but I wanted to show you the 3d measurement tool.
So it says hold down the alt to rotate, hold down shift to pan.
So, and then hold down the control key. Okay. So
in this case, this one, I'm going to try to do,
I'm going to try to measure this. All right. So we can,
as it said, I'm holding on the control key to rotate it.
But if I start here,
let's say I want to start here and I want to see how long
this, uh, this diagram is. All right. And then we could see it's in millimeters
right now. All right. Uh,
so now I want to be able to measure from top to the
bottom. All right. Like how much is this right over here?
So I'm just going to drag it down.
So it helps me really get the exact measurements.
Now notice that line isn't really perfectly straight. It's a little bit off.
So here's what you do. Even with the normal measuring tool, before you drag it,
you're going to hold down your shift key. If I hold down my shift key,
well, that, that actually, uh, uh, drag the object. But in this case,
I'm just going to make sure that my mouse is nice and straight and you can see
the measurements that are coming up. All right. So, uh,
this is the 3d measuring tool.
The way I got to that was I right clicked on the 3d object. Uh,
and then before we picked on tools and we said the 3d measurement tools,
but notice with that 3d object, there's many things that we can do. Uh,
actually I would like to put it back in inches. All right.
So now let's see if the measuring tool is going to be an inches this time.
And you can see that it isn't inches. All right. So, um,
anyway, when I right click in that 3d object,
there's just many, many things that we can do with that, as you can say,
but I really, uh,
I'm very impressed with how you can actually manage that 3d object.
In this case, I'm going to turn off the measuring tool.
I'm just going to hit the escape key.
And now we're back to being able to rotate that in different ways. All right.
So now I'm going to close this document
and we're going to go ahead and I'm not going to save that one.
So I can use it in a future session,
but now let me show you the normal measuring tools.
So in this case I showed you a, well,
we'll come back to adding a button later on that really works very well when we
do a, um, a form, but I can add a button here.
So let's say I want to be able to easily print this,
this form or this document. So I'm going to add a button.
I'll put it right up here. Uh, so I'll say, uh,
print as the text, and then we're going to say all properties.
And then, uh, you can kind of tell it the appearance and the position,
the options of how it's going to look.
But really what I want to go to is the actions. So when I,
when I click on that button, what is it going to do?
You make it do a lot of different things. You can make it, uh,
go to a 3d view, page view,
import data. Uh, so we can do, um, multimedia.
Like I just showed you opening a file, opening a web link,
play a sound, submit a form. Okay. Read an article.
So there's many things we can do with those buttons. So let's say, uh,
I thought that print was going to be on there, but we'll go ahead. And, uh,
what if we, what if we open a file?
All right. So I'll change the, uh, Texas, say open
Excel file.
So for the actions, I'll say, open a file and I'll pick on ad.
And now it wants to know which file I want to get to. So I'll open up the,
this, uh, address file. Good.
Now I can make that button do more things.
We can keep on adding more actions as many as you want it to pick on close.
Now that button says open an Excel file. Of course I can resize it,
but I'm going to click there and that really should, uh,
open up that Excel file. Let's see if it works. If I click that,
well, uh, here it's saying that the file might have a virus, but it's not,
I know what that file is. So I'm going to pick on open. I can,
I can choose to not display that message again.
And now it's going to go into that file. And there, there it is.
There's the addresses. All right. So that was a pretty good way. Uh, we,
we made it more interactive with that button. Those are all under the,
the, the rich media, uh, tools.
I showed you what the three D is like. You added a button out of the sound.
This is a flash file made with a flash builder.
And this is a video. I would be like an MP4. All right.
All of those do require the flash, uh, to be at least installed here.
All right. But that it comes free.
The viewer comes free with Adobe Acrobat. All right.
Now the next thing I want to show you is the normal measurement tool.
So I'm going to close this file and this one I can save.
Now let's go back to this file. And, uh,
let's say I want to measure like exactly how long that box is.
This'll help you when you're setting up your objects and you want to make sure
things are the same size. All right.
So we're going to go into the measurement tools,
pick on the tools menu, and then we'll pick on measure.
Good. Now notice how we have the measuring tool up there.
All right. So in this case,
if I just go from one corner to the next,
now this is the one that's going to help when we hold on the shift key or it'll
keep it nice and straight. Good.
And then if I move my mouse, uh, if I move my mouse there,
it says 3.15 inches. Watch how I'm going to keep it straight this time.
I'm going to undo that. Okay. So now I'm going to move my mouse here.
I still have the measuring tool. I'm going to hold down the shift key.
And then when I'm dragging it across, notice how it's staying nice and straight.
All right. So that was a lot smoother.
And you can see when I move my mouse there, it says 3.5, 3.14 inches.
So this is just a normal type of measurement from here. Okay.
Now I want to get the perimeter. Like how, how many inches is it around that object?
So in this case, I want to click on the pointer tool.
So we can turn that one off. I'm going to go back to the measuring tool.
Now I want to see how long, how, uh, how long it is around that object.
That's called the perimeter. So I'm going to click on this,
this tool over here and it says the perimeter tool.
All right, so good. I'm going to hold down my shift key again.
I'm going to start here. I'm going to drag it across.
And then I'm going to lift my finger from the mouse button that,
that tells it that that's one point and then you drag it down again.
Good. I'm going to lift my finger, drag it over.
Good. Drag it over. I'm actually clicking there and then drag it up.
So then it gives me the space around that object,
which is 7.59 inches. That was the perimeter. All right.
So, um,
this tool is just for measuring like from one, one section to another.
This is the perimeter. How, how, how much space is around that object?
Uh, this one on the other hand, let's undo that.
This one on the other hand is what we call the area.
So how much space is within that? So watch the area.
I'm going to click on that one again and we'll start at the corner and I'm
going to hold down my shift key so I can keep it as a straight line. Good.
I'm lifting my mouse button and, um, then I'm going to click there,
drag it down. Good.
Get that, drag it across. Good, good.
And drag it up. Now you want those edges to connect like that.
And now you see it's 4.1 square inches all the way around.
So this one is just for measuring from here to there.
This one is the perimeter, you know,
how much space is around that object. And then this is the area,
how much space is within that object. All right.
So those are the measuring tools. Uh, so that's a pretty good one right there.
Let's keep on going now. Now, somebody even asked about this next topic.
We're going to make a form. Uh,
so a form is where we can start to collect data. All right.
So, um,
let's go ahead and start to use our form form tools.
So in this case, the, uh, go to a different document.
All right. So I'm going to go ahead and add a new page.
Of course, over here, we see, uh, our different pages for the document.
So I'll go to the next page. Okay. That'll be good.
You can see how the watermark is even on this page as well.
So that'll be fine. Now I'm going to go ahead and close this window.
Right now. Um, we can, uh, we can get rid of this item.
So I'll pick on the tools menu and then pick on edit.
So you can see that's all text there, of course. Right.
So I can delete all of that. It's just in my way right now. All right.
So let's go to the form tools.
I'm going to go ahead and pick on the tools menu.
And then we scroll down and we choose prepare a form.
So remember what we're trying to do is trying to make a screen where it would be
like, um, you know,
where they can type in their name and address and things like that,
or it could be any type of information. In this case,
I'll even make a new page. That's fine. Or a new document.
Yeah, that's where we'll start from scratch. Okay. So now this guy over here,
we'll just be text and they won't be able to type where the text is.
So I'll click on the text tool and I'll type in a name,
but I want a space where they can actually type in the name.
And that'll be this one. So that's called a text field.
So I'm going to click there and then move it down to here.
So in this case, the field name will be the name.
I can make that a required field,
which means that they would have to type something there or a pick on all
properties. And there's many, many things you can do with this.
They can change the appearance, the font and the font size,
and these kinds of things. Okay.
So we can even make that an action where, you know,
once they do something with that something will happen.
So that's the thing we can make it a calculated field. So anyway,
we have the name back. So let's add an address.
I'm going to go ahead and pick on just a plain text and I'll type an address
and then I'll pick on this one and I'll pick on, um, yeah,
see how I'm trying to align that with those tools. Good.
And that'll be the address. Now for that one,
obviously I want to make that bigger.
So we're gonna stretch it out and then move it down to here.
Now, if I want to make sure that those items are lined up, watch what I'll do.
I'm going to pick on the word name there and I'll pick on the word address.
And then you get the alignment tools over here.
So I would say a lot, you know,
we can say left align those kinds of things, right?
So it's nice to be able to align those items up.
Even here, I want to make sure that this one is lined up with this one.
So we can use the alignment tools with that one as well. All right.
So looking good. Now let's add, um, let's add a check box here.
So I'm going to go ahead and pick on the selection tool. I'll pick on the, um,
pick on the text and I'll say,
did you enjoy the
Superbowl? Now for that one,
I want to have like a check box. All right.
So you'd notice how there's different types of objects we can add to our forms.
So I'll pick on this one and people would kind of know that,
um,
people would know that if it's checked, it's a yes.
And then if it's not checked, it's a no. So we're making this form,
right now. Uh,
I want to have a button so that if we click on the button, uh,
different things can happen.
So I'm going to go ahead and click on this button here and you can have as many
of these buttons as you want. So I'll say, um,
say I want it to say reset.
And in this case, I'll pick on all properties. Now,
this time I'm going to give it an action. So when we press that button,
then I want to reset the form. In other words, that's going to submit the data.
Actually, we'll, uh, yeah, we'll do this one as a reset. That'll clear it.
They're good. And, um, that'll be fine.
And then I want to have another button that will submit the data.
So I'll pick on this button. I'll come over here.
You can see how this let me line those things up. And then I'll say,
this will be submit.
I'll pick on all properties and this time we'll make it submit the
form, which is going to submit the data. Now it submits it kind of on a,
a backend file.
I'll show you how you can get that to like an Excel file or something like that.
It was somebody's question, uh, before the webinar. So I'll pick on close.
So you can see when we open up the prepared form tools,
this one is going to be a piece of text, like name, address in this question.
This one is where they can type in the information. All right.
Then in this case, we have a checkbox. This is called a radio button.
You've seen those. That's where you can only pick a one out of this.
If you have like five choices, you're going to pick one at a time.
This one is a list where you can pick one from the list. This is a pull down.
This is the button that we just did over here. There's a pictures.
This is a, a date field, you know? So let's say, um,
so, uh, what is
so then we'll use the date field. Good.
And then, uh, we'll call that date and then we'll pick on properties there.
So in this case, you can put calculations into here.
You can validate the fields. Uh, I want it in this format.
Now the default value could be like today's date, for example.
So now I'm just going to make a show of us today's date because the actual date,
but you can make that show up as dynamically as the current date with a
formula. So I'll do, um, 2020 good.
It's fine. And there's different things we can change about that, of course.
Okay, good. So let's see how this whole thing is going to play out.
I'm going to pick on preview. So I'll type in, um, my name.
Now, if I wanted to reset it, I'm going to change that button.
So we'll be able to see that text. But if I pick on the reset,
notice how it really kind of clears things out.
Also I spelled my name right. Okay. So I'll type in my address.
Did I enjoy the Superbowl? Yes. And then today's date.
Of course I can change that to something else.
Notice how because it's a date, the calendar came up. All right.
Now this one, I remember I made that into a submit.
So I'm going to click that and that submitted the data.
Then I'd probably want to do a reset. Um,
now that should be resetting that form,
but then I'll type in somebody else's name and then we'll submit that one.
All right. So we can start to make a pretty nice form here.
Now I'm going to go back to pick on edit.
Now watch what's going to happen if I, um, share that with another person.
So what you would do on any PDF file,
I can pick in the word share. So I'm going to say,
I'm going to send it to, um,
now I have this register with my email address.
So it really wants a different email address. I'm going to use my,
my other one that I can get to from outlook.
And then from here, of course I would pick on a send.
So you would type in the email as you need to the subject and all that.
So that really sent that good.
Now I'm going to go into my outlook and we'll see if that email came over and
then we'll see what the other person will see when you're sending that email.
Good. Here it is. So now I have a link to that document.
I'm going to go ahead and pick on open
and this person will just be able to, uh, enter the information in.
So what I would probably do is, uh, probably download that.
So I put that in my download folder. Let's see what that looks like.
So this is what the person would see on the other end.
They will be able to, um, type in the information on the, uh,
the different fields, but they can't change it.
I can't click where it says name and change it there. Uh, when, when, you know,
it's the other person. So I'll type in the information and then, you know,
of course we would change that so they can read the text,
but I'll pick on submit that.
So all of this data is being gathered and let me show you how you can then get
that data into a Excel or another format.
So I'm going to go ahead and close that window.
This is the one that I sent to myself. This is a,
what the other person would say. Okay.
Now I'm back to the one that I actually made. So
let me get the, um, let me get the form tools back up again.
I'll pick up tools and then prepare a form. Good.
Now what you're looking for, you're looking for this word distribute.
That means you can take that information and send it to a
different format. So look where my mouse is going to go right over here.
I'll pick on distribute. Okay. Before distributing this form,
the changes you made has to be saved. So of course I'll save that.
And now we're going to save that one to a form one dot PDF.
Now I can send it as an email or an internal server.
So let's see if we can try it to an, uh, an internal server.
I'm going to say, no, I want to send it with the data.
And then in this case, see if it lets me send it to the desktop.
So actually let's try to send it as an email. So I'll pick on, uh, that,
let me go back to those tools again, pair of form.
So I'll pick on distribute again, and this time we'll send it as an email.
Okay. That's fine. And this, this is where the data is going to be stored.
Okay.
Into that PDF file or in this point we can send it as an email.
So I'll send it to the email address again.
This way we'll be able to see what it looks like, uh, within my outlook.
All right. So we're going to send that. Okay.
So now let's take a look at if the email got sent. Uh,
so I'm going to go ahead and see if that, uh, that email got sent to outlook.
Might take a second for that to come over. But anyway,
I just showed you how to make a nice form and then how we can collect the data
with that, uh, with that distribute. So is this the one, this is the one.
Okay, good. So now if I pick on that,
we can start to see, we can start to see that file
and there's the data. All right. So I'm going to go back to Adobe now.
So all of that happened because I went into the prepare a form
tools, even here, you know, I can go to a new document,
but just remember these tools.
This one is where I would have just the title of the field.
Then this is the actual field itself where they can type in.
This is a checkbox. This is a, uh,
what we're calling an option button or a radio button where they have a list of
choices and they can only pick one at a time.
This is a list where they can pick from a list.
This is, um, a pull down or a dropdown list.
This is one of those buttons like we talked about.
And then this would be a picture. I showed you the date.
We could even make them add a signature into there. This is a barcode.
Okay. So, uh, there we have using the forms.
Now, one of the big things about Adobe Acrobat is they're very aware that,
um, you know,
many other people with maybe disabilities have to read these documents so we can
make the documents handicapped accessible by showing you the following.
So I'm going to go into, is this the one I want to use? No,
let's go into this one. All right.
So let's see if I have a cleaner copy of that.
This one. Okay, good. So I want to make it so that first of all,
we can make it accessible for people who might be a colorblind.
We can actually change the colors so that it's accessible for people that are
colorblind. We can also make it so that this document is, is, uh,
it can be read out loud, uh, to people as well.
So let me show you some of the accessible tools.
I'm going to go ahead and pick on the tools menu and we'll scroll down and we'll
choose accessibility.
So that's going to open up the accessibility window over here.
And then you have this section right over here.
So we have to tag the document if we want it to be read out loud.
So I'm going to go ahead and say auto tag document.
Uh, so I must've been this in the previous session. So I'm going to say, yes,
I'm going to tag that. So if you want this to be read out loud,
you have to tag it like that.
Then, uh,
I would also say something that's going to really help you is the, uh,
set up assistant. This kind of does the important steps for you.
So we'll pick on a set up assistant and I'll use set all accessibility options.
Right. So then we'll say, uh,
now this one will be for people that might be a colorblind or having trouble
with different contrast.
So we're really going to turn the contrast on here and we'll see some different
examples there. Now, this is the one that looks the best to me,
but you can try some of these different ones. All right. So, uh,
I'll pick on next.
Now in this case, this is talking about when it reads it out loud.
So I'm going to say it's going to take it from, uh, top left to the bottom,
right, which is fine. Well, you can choose your own.
And then, um, the, the reading speed is what it's talking about here.
So we'll pick on next and then that's fine.
So I'll pick on done. Okay. So notice how, so for,
so for people that are colorblind,
they might be able to read that better now because of what we just did.
All right.
So maybe I would have one copy of the document that is not included with us.
And then another copy that is now,
uh, another thing that we can do here is we can make it so they can,
um, easily have this read to them.
So I'm going to highlight some text and then we'll pick on the view menu and
then it says read out loud and I want to say activate read out loud.
But before that even showed up, we had to go into this setup assistant.
This one I think requires flash as well. So
now when I clicked on that, I did hear that voice asked me, you know,
what page view should I use? So we're going to highlight some text.
Now that is happening. Like I can hear it in my headphones.
I don't know if that's coming over the webinar or not.
When I click on that text now, the guy is really reading that for me. Okay.
So I would set all of this up for the other person.
Then I would send it to him, you know, with that share. Let's even do that.
So pick on share. Again,
I'm going to add my Outlook email address.
Good. And I'll say,
if you click on text,
it should
or any questions. All right.
So I'll pick on send. That's going to send it through the email.
Let's see what it looks like from the other person's standpoint.
Now I'm going to close this file. All right.
So I'll say yes to save that. Now I'll close this one.
All right.
So let's go back to my Outlook and that email sounds like it came in.
Actually that reminder is coming up. All right. So we'll get rid of that.
And so here's the document.
Make sure that's the right one. Right.
So now let's go ahead and try to view that.
So we have to, it shows us to that in the online version of Adobe.
So I'd really want to download that. So I'm going to download it.
Then we'll open that one up. And so,
yeah, I want to open it up in Adobe Acrobat.
So let me show that in the folder and I'm going to open it up with Adobe
Acrobat. All right.
Now it's back. Now, if I click on the text,
then I'll say view and then read out loud.
And then you can start to see it's going to read the text for me. All right.
So the way I got all of that started was you go to a normal document.
Let's go to a different one. So let's even,
let's go to a different document here. Okay.
So a lot of these I've already done with this feature.
So let's turn on the accessibility tool. So pick on tools,
accessibility.
So the best thing to do is to set up assistant and then it sets it
up for different things. And then you just keep on picking on next year.
So this will make it easier for people to see.
And then you can show them that they can also zoom in.
Some people have issues with the print being too small.
So you show them the zoom tool and you can see it makes
it a lot better. So that's built right in.
And then also show them how they can read it out loud by picking on
view and then read out loud. And then, you know,
you would pick on the text and it will start to read that for you.
So those are the accessibility tools. In this case,
I'm going to put that document away. Like I said,
you probably would have one copy of the document that has the
accessible tools on there.
And then one that maybe does not for people that don't need that.
Good. So you can see some of the documents that we made today.
Now let's talk about adding a signature onto one of our files.
So I want to request a signature from somebody else. So this one will be fine.
So you can see before the class,
I was trying to get these accessible tools working on some of these documents.
So this one, I bet this one's fine. Good. All right.
So I want to go ahead and I want to maybe ask a person to
sign this document.
So what we'll do is we'll turn on the tools and then I'll say
fill and sign.
So do I want me to sign it or am I looking for other people to
sign it? Usually you request others to sign it.
So I'll put them request signatures. Good.
So then this is actually going to send an email to those people.
So once again, I'll use my different email addresses.
So we'll use this one where it's going to go to my outlook and you can do
multiple people there. So I'll say, please sign.
So then you're going to specify where on the document to sign.
It's way to click there. Then you pick a spot on the document.
Give it a second here. This is a little bit longer one.
If this was a shorter document, it wouldn't take as long,
but then this document will be sent out and then the person won't be able to
change anything, but they'll be able to sign it.
So let's say we want that to be, uh, maybe right over here.
Okay. So at that point, I'm going to go ahead and send it.
So let's see what that looks like when the other person gets it.
Once again, I'm going to go back to outlook so I can get that email.
And there it is. It says signature request it.
We're going to click on review and sign.
And then it says, please review and complete this document, please sign.
And then if I pick on like, it'll kind of go to where the signature is,
it'll bring them right to that spot. Now they can just, uh, right click on that.
And like a lot of times they can just add their name in there and that'll be a
good, uh, signature. Or if you pick on manage,
then there's different signatures you can add into there as well within your
Adobe settings. So you saw, let's go back to Adobe now.
You saw how it was in this document. I turn on the, the signature tools.
Usually it's about, you know, other people signing it.
You're setting this document for other people. So I say request signatures.
You type in their email addresses and main message. And then it said, you know,
pick that spot where you want them to sign and then you send them off. Okay.
So that's what I want to show you about the signatures.
