Premier League 24/25 - Highlighs - Fought Until The End - Man Utd & Ipswich

Three months on from Ruben Amirim's arrival and even the United head coach has admitted himself that things have been trickier than he anticipated them to be. Home form is the cornerstone of any successful Premier League side and United seem to have lost it of late. Can they rediscover something at Old Trafford here this evening? Oh that's a loose one and Ipswich are going to open the scoring. It's a nightmare start for Manchester United. Rasmus Hoyland in the middle, Fernandes, 1-1. It's a high one and very nearly a second goal. It might still be, it is. Manchester United need to hit their straps at Old Trafford again and Mike Matthijs de Ligt have provided them the platform to do so. Has he caught him? Oh he has caught him. Red card for Patrick Dorgut. Sent off for a challenge on Omari Hutchinson. Ipswich just probing and that's a clever ball in towards Dillep and it squeezes its way through. Ipswich equaliser. Fernandes who delivers and there is that brilliant start to the second 45. And wouldn't you know it, it's Harry Maguire. United have not switched on to this short corner. Taylor fizzes wide of the post. That is a superb block from Bruno Fernandes and he's going to get the return here over the halfway line. He does keep the ball in play. Mesraoui is darting into the area and he was very nearly picked out by United's captain. And Nus Masraoui has gone in hard on Liam Dillep. If United can keep control of it they should have this game sold out. And there is the final whistle. Three points for Manchester United at Old Trafford. Three dogged points for Ruben Amorim's side. Reduced to 10 men late in the first half. They had to fight, they had to scrap and they did so with professionalism and maturity.
