This is a residential project whose main concept was to create volumes covered in natural stone that land on the terrain in a simple and striking manner. Inside, the stone is combined with a wooden structure to provide warmth to the space.

We wanted to use a serene architecture that seemed to be able to last a long time here.
I think that's where the timeless comes from, and that's also where the materials we chose for the work have to come from.
I'm Fernando Weber, from Weber Architects.
I remember thinking that it had to be a serene house, a refuge,
that was on one side very connected to nature,
and on the other, that you would feel very sheltered in days like these.
And from there, to use materials that have been used for millennia in architectural work.
The stone, on the one hand, which is the envelope of all the architecture,
and the wood, but treating them in a contemporary way.
The project is made up of three main square volumes.
The main volume, then we have another volume that houses the office,
and then we have, separated from the house, a volume that houses the guest rooms.
The house starts from a main volume.
The geometry is something very simple.
It really is a square, we can describe it as an H,
where the two exterior volumes are these stone volumes,
joined in the middle by this loose wood structure.
On its facade, we handle very rigorous rhythms, all the windows are the same size.
This also refers to architecture from a long time ago, very rhythmic architecture.
You enter a circulation, all wrapped in stone, a circulation with little height,
and it ends with the terrace, in such a way that if you have guests,
you can receive them in this public social area, without entering the house.
Then you have a connection, you have a completely open view of the vegetation,
of the place, with the mountains in the background.
Before connecting to the terrace, there is the main door,
which has another very rhythmic route, you begin to feel the rhythm of these veins,
you can also connect to the terrace through these veins,
and then you finish with the kitchen, and before entering, you can access the public area.
I believe that what customers have most appreciated is the comfort and temperature of the house.
We have the wall covered with this stone, which are very thick walls,
we have this wood that obviously gives you warmth,
and we have some windows that isolate us and give us a lot of comfort in the house.
You have this very marked rhythm of the circulation,
through these laminated wooden columns.
As a finish, you find this window,
well, a painting really, because in the background we have a water tank that captures the water.
Walking down the corridor, on the left side you come across the main room.
Then we have another volume that houses the office,
so that the owner of the house had a personal space, which was one of the requirements.
The idea was to give it its own personality,
that's why we chose a different material, a very natural material, like this black tabique.
Arriving here after practically a year of having finished the work,
seeing how the architecture and nature have merged,
talking again with the users, with the owners,
that you see that it is an architecture that is alive, that is being enjoyed,
well, it is something that gives me a lot of satisfaction.
