How to REPAIR Chain of any MTB

What if your chain gets derailed? Is it your gear or single speed cycle? Or what if your chain breaks while riding? In this video, I'll teach you how to tackle it. And in the last, I'll give you tips to keep your chain from breaking. First, let's concentrate on how to keep your gear chain. For this, we'll need a cycle. This time, we'll use an overage cycle. This is a Rs 70,000 carbon bicycle. I use this cycle less in races and more in repair videos. Let's put it on our scientific balancing machine. Let's imagine that the chain of this gear cycle has come out. I'll try to take it out with a screwdriver. Did it come out? Yes, it came out. So, this is the condition of the bike. What has happened? Because the limit screws are not adjusted to the gears, the chain always comes out. There is a very easy way to put it inside. You have to go up towards the cockpit. Now, if you see the normal way to put the chain, you'll hold it from here, put the chain back and your hands will get dirty. There is a small hack for that. Because you are on the road, you take this leaf, hold it from here, and put the chain back. Like this. Even though I shouldn't do this carbon bicycle because it will look very dirty. What will happen with this is that all the marks will come here and not on your hand. This is not a sophisticated way. This derailleur is made to change gears. So, we will put the chain back from this. We have to go to our cockpit here. If this is in the 7th gear, even though it is in the 9th gear, you have to make a small click here. That is it. After this, you have to pedal the pedals forward. Keep one thing in mind. If your cycle is on the stand, it will be better. You can't do this while standing. As soon as we change gears and pedal, see, our cycle will start again. It will start, right? We will do the same thing with the front gear. It gets a little complicated. But if you try, you can easily put it up. Now, we have talked about how to put the gear cycle chain. It is very easy. Just remember one thing. I have taught it by putting it on the stand. So, if you have a bicycle stand, you will tilt your cycle and then put it up. You don't even have to get your hands dirty. And your cycle chain will climb on its own. There are some complications with single speed. Because the chain is very easy to get off. But it is very difficult to put it up. Let's take it off first. Now you can see that it has come off. You have to take the chain and put it on the front. You can use a screwdriver. Or you can use a leaf. In the gear cycle, you had to change gears while pedaling the front. Then the chain would climb. This is a little opposite. You have to do it the other way around. I will hold it from here. And I will put the chain on the front first. And I will try to put it up. It will not climb. No matter how much you try, it will not climb. For this, what you have to do is, you have to do backpedaling. What you have to do first is, you have to put this chain up from here. You have to put it on its first teeth. And you have to press the wheel backwards. You have to hold the wheel from here and press it backwards. I will do more backpedaling. There is a problem with single speed. Its tension should be correct. If it is too loose, it will come off again and again. If it is too wide, your pedaling will be a little difficult. We will come back to this before that. Let's go back to the gear cycle. I have put the gear cycle here. Now we are going to discuss. Why does it happen that your chain comes out again and again? The main reason may be that the limit screws of your derailleur are not properly adjusted. So we will adjust the same. We will adjust the rear as well as the front. There are many types of screws in this. But this is the most common screw. These are the adjustment screws of your derailleur. Many of them have up and down written on it. But how will you recognize it? For this, what you have to do is put your last gear easily. I will put my 7th gear in this. Sorry, I will put my 9th gear in this. As soon as we put the 7th gear, this screw comes to this point. This means that it is of the higher gear level. What we have to do is As soon as we put it in the 7th gear, Here our chain has come in the 7th gear. After this, we have to touch it here. In the first gear, we have this issue. The chain comes down like this. If the chain comes down here, then there will be a lot of problem. Again, what you have to do is you have to change the gear. And it will come back to its place. The derailleur will come back to its place. To adjust this, we have to take the second screw. And we have to tighten it so much that it just touches it. Again, in the same way. Many people tighten both of them completely. So the gears can get damaged. So you should tighten it as much as it is tight enough. In the front, it is of low and high. It is indicated in this. You can find it yourself. If we talk about single speed, why does the chain come down again and again? Well, there is a little complication in this. Like you have to adjust the limit screw in the gear wheel cycle. There is no need for a limit screw here because the chain is not changing. But the problem is in the tension of the chain. If your tension is too high, your pedaling will be difficult. As I told you. If your chain tension is loose, then your chain keeps coming down again and again. Let's check how much is the tension of the chain. Like if we see here, the tension of the chain is perfect. It is not tight at all. And there is a little movement in it. This adjustment is due to this thing. Let me loosen it. Now you can see that the chain is loose. And now what will happen in this? As you will do pedaling, your chain will come out again and again. To tighten it, you will have to push back first. And then you have to tighten it. But what is the problem? Like there is a disc in this cycle. So its proper adjustment is not possible. So what should you do? First tighten it from that side. I have taken this position here. And I have tightened it. After doing all this, we will adjust the disc. But as I told you earlier, there is no problem in this. We had removed this thing. Now what does it mean? This is only used to give tension to the chain. We will install it here. I think now its tension is perfect. But let's do one thing. Let's tighten it more. Now see how hard the tension is. What will happen with this? I will do front pedaling. I will leave it. See this. The wheel has stopped at the same time. This means that the tension of the chain is very high. So what do I do? I make it a little loose. And this is kind of perfect. After this, we will tighten this bolt. If there is a V-brake in your cycle, then you don't need to adjust it. It is already self-adjusting. With this tool. What will happen with this? Your chain will be absolutely perfect. But what will you do if you have issues in your gear? Or if your derailleur is broken. So what will you do? For that, first of all, what to do? Like you have a derailleur behind you. This is broken. First of all, you have to remove this. If you remove this. Then how will your cycle run? For that, you have to convert this cycle to single speed. What you have to do is. You have to choose two gears. Like if you look at your front. You can use any middle gear of the front. I try to use the middle one. Because then there is no reason to remove the chain. After that, what do you have to do? You have to look here. And you have to see which gear is in its straightness. From behind. Apply from the front. From inside the derailleur. Remove it in the middle chain. And go back. And here we have to cut its chain. Here I think the chain will be cut perfectly.
