This Week: Kimberly Bonati, Ethan Youker and Spine surgeon Alfred Bonati, M.D., discuss how recently pardoned January 6th protestor spent years in solitary confinement without trial. Jake Lang addresses President Trump’s sweeping pardons and the agony he faced as a silenced political prisoner. Then, Julia was an active woman until back pain limited her ability to stand and walk. After the exclusive Bonati Spine Procedures, she is back in motion, pain-free. (Original airdate 3-1-25)

welcome to American medicine today I'm
Kimberly bonady alongside Ethan uker we
have a jam-pack show with a lot to cover
let's get right to it after president
Trump's unprecedented and sweeping
pardons of all the January 6 protesters
many of whom have languished in prison
for over four years without trial there
was plenty of media backlash but what
about the human side of the issue
joining us to discuss is Jake Lang
entrepreneur US Senate candidate in
Florida and recently released January 6
political prisoner welcome uh to the
program and thank you for joining us
Jake thank you so much for having me it
is a blessing to be a free man I can't
even describe it but it's supernatural
it was only by God's grace I'm here
today and so uh thank you for having me
on walk us through your experience on
January 6 2021 uh what brought you to
the capital to be with about a million
other Americans that showed up that day
we're very concerned with um the Fallen
state of our country um during covid
2020 we were living in tyranny we were
living in a police state and on top of
that then they stole the election so it
was like we were completely
disenfranchised as the American people
felt like our voices didn't matter the
Deep state was just running over us with
um these incredibly Draconian policies
so we went to go and redress agreements
to peacefully protest that and they
doubled down on their aggression and
their oppression of us and they actually
ended up committing like this Onslaught
this aggressive Terror on me and all my
fellow peaceful protesters they shot us
with rubber bullets tear gas concussion
grenades steel batons they were using
upon us and because of Capitol police
brutality orchestrated by the FBI did
you get any sense in the moment that
there were I guess moles amongst you
plants from the government you know
could tell that there were some
unscrupulous actors um doing things that
Trump supporters wouldn't normally do I
mean people trying to turn up um you
know the heat turn up the level and
really incite um a brush fire because
like I said the emotions were so high we
already had felt um this deep
disenfranchisement is the best word this
this disconnection as being Americans
our voices were stolen from us the
freedom to move around to go to dinners
to you know be Americans during covid
was stolen from us and so you know
throughout all of that we ended up um
you know being in a very easily um
ignitable emotional state and so that's
what they did they saw where we were at
and they just put a few key actors doing
you know perpetrating a few Act of
aggression to turn the whole crowd into
kind of like a herd response I saw areas
um in video where the police actually
removed barriers and were kind of
ushering people in did you see any of
that yeah I mean we're you know we're
learning now that you know the capitol
doors were opened by the police you know
a lot of the things that they said the
violent Insurrection as storm the
capital um was actually I mean ushered
in they were welcoming in opening up
doors giving a tour guide at a couple
different key points in the video you
see you know people should study their
history and see what real insurrections
are all about um that was truly just
constitutionalists and conservatives and
Christians standing up um peacefully to
defend our country when push came to
shove you know I believe that history is
going to remember January 6 as a day
where free men stood up against tyranny
and when we were bullied and when we
were um harassed and even assaulted
instead of running and cowering we did
As Americans do as our founding fathers
would have done we stood up we defended
ourselves we defended our country and
you know quite honestly We the People
belong in the people's house you know
and that's why I'm running for United
States Senator here in Florida to take
back everything that they've stolen from
me and for my countrymen that have
suffered alongside me I believe that
it's time for um the Senate especially
um to get past the era of the weak
needed leadership of the Rhino
Republicans like Mitch McConnell and you
know other other leaders even th right
now who's at sitting at the Senate
leadership position even currently right
now our Senate leadership for the
Republican party is so spineless and so
being from Florida and running for
Senate here I believe this is the most
magga state in the country the
patriotism I mean this is like the new
conservative Hollywood we have Mar go
down here we have the boat parade so
it's time to send in a young uh
conservative fire brand to really shake
things up and to drain the swamp we're
going to take a quick break we'll be
right back with Jake Lang talking about
the January 6 prisoners after this you
are watching American medicine today
don't be screwed by lesser spine
institutes who bait you with minimally
invasive procedures then switch to
screws rods disc Replacements and
Hardware app bat no metal hardware
fusions are ever used Bady invented the
precise tools necessary to minimize
surgery scarring anesthesi and recovery
so successful are the benady spine
procedures they consistently reflect
98.75% patient satisfaction over half
our patients have suffered from failed
back connect surgeries at other
facilities benady succeeds where others

fail welcome back to American medicine
today we're continuing the discussion of
the January 6 prisoners with prisoner
himself Jake Lang when you talk about
suffering and January 6 when you were
put in prison um it was without trial
correct yes for four years and six days
I languished in the DC goolag and and
many other prisons they transferred me
17 times and so and this is a number
that's going to probably twist the guts
of some of your audience members I did
over 900 days of solitary confinement I
can't even imagine how that must have
affected your uh mental state at that
point um why don't you tell us how you
made it through that
time well you know it wasn't me it was
he in me who is greater than he who is
in the World um I wouldn't have made it
without the love of Jesus Christ and my
Father in Heaven sending his Spirit to
be as a blanket over me to comfort me in
my time of Affliction you know the Lord
has promises in the Bible that are
they're true it's not just um an old
dusty book on your grandparents shelf
these promises to deliver his people
when the righteous are afflicted that he
will hear their cries and deliver them
from their oppressors and break the
chains of bondage our true biblical
promises I'm living proof I was in a
grave just 15 days ago in my prison cell
rotting away wondering if I was going to
do the next 20 to 30 years in prison and
then boom just like that the Lord can
deliver from anything there is no enemy
too great no mountain too call and you
know he will he will hear his people's
cries and he has delivered not just me
but all of America through this movement
this Christian Uprising the make America
great again movement who would have
imagined while Joe Biden's reign of
terror was happening that just in a few
years a few months later um the complete
turnaround of America this revival we're
seeing both spiritually and um in
government is is amazing and I want to
be part of it and that's what is
propelling me to to run for Senate and
to you know stand up and be a public
servant because there's so much more to
do to make America great again describe
the moment that you I guess heard or
received information you know a that
when Trump won the election in November
and then B when you heard about the
pardon just what were you feeling what
the moment ju it felt like you know the
biblical Jubilee year it was Jubilation
it was like the long arm of God had
stretched down from heaven and and pluck
me specifically up right out of where I
was at um to be able to be reunited if
you guys go on my ex page my Twitter
page Jake Lang j6 you're going to see
some of the most heart-wrenching videos
of me being reunited with my family
after four years
1,467 days you know without being able
to you know be able to hug them and and
and be in their presence and whatnot um
for more than just you know a prison
visit for an hour or so and
so I can only show you what it was like
I mean just watch the video of me
running I have the Bible in my hand I'm
like my father and I go running towards
him and boom We Collide and hug and um
you know it's just it's a moment where I
think it's an indelible moment in
American history similar to when the
World War II you know men came home and
you know the the famous picture of the
man kissing the woman it was like that
historic you know snapshot um in
American history and the the energy and
the spirit of Freedom that everybody had
voted for on November 5th that you know
what we did sewing into that actually
came to fruition that that seed we
planted in the Box you know in the
pallet box on November 5th actually came
to fruition and blossomed and turned
into that moment of freedom and so uh
politics you know sometimes they're
dirty but politics saved my life let's
hope politics now will prosecute all
these uh deviant and and uh people
responsible for lawfare and imprisoning
all the January 6 um attendees hopefully
they will come to the same fate and
let's hope that that will never happen
again thank you for being on the program

you are watching American medicine
today Julia of schnellville Indiana is
an active woman that enjoys a wide
variety of activ activities I used to
work for the Postal Service I loved to
jet ski and I loved to scuba dive and we
even rode motorcycles uh each having our
own because I didn't want to wait on him
I want it my own Julia attributes years
of hard physically demanding work at the
post office as the cause of her pain I
did work for the postal service and it
required that you lift bags that could
be up to 70 lb working in a small office
I did um everything from clean to
shoveling snow I emptied all the heavier
bags and when I stopped working that
actually the thing that was hurting me
the most was sitting at the computer and
leaning forward I had a bulging disc and
it hurt brushing my teeth and leaning
forward it hurt washing dishes it hurt
just trying to bend over I'd be so slow
trying to pick up something on the floor
for over three decades Julia has tried
numerous conserv ative treatments but
none of them helped and some actually
made it worse I would go to the chiro
Proctor like 4 days a week so I could
stand up straight they put a chain up
under me and they would stretch me that
actually hurt worse until one day I
couldn't get back off the table
afterwards Julia had traditional open
back surgery near her home requiring her
to endure agonizing physical therapy as
part of her recovery as time progressed
though so did her pain we went down to
New Orleans and that first night there I
found I started hurting I couldn't lay
in a bed ended up that I slept in a
chair for 10 and 1/2 months Julia
learned about the Bady Spine Institute
from a friend who was also a past
recipient of the targeted benatti spine
procedures he started talking to me how
he had went to all these doctors a lot
of doctors had been similar to what I
had went to and was told there was no
hope for me my back was shot he spent 2
hours telling us everything that he went
through and I noticed he was standing at
this table doing stuff and and I said do
you need to sit down you know I didn't
understand that he could stand up so
long upon seeing the positive outcome of
her friend surgery she decided to call
and see if she was a candidate for the
exclusive benady spine procedures
hearing she needed an MRI to send in for
review she went back to her primary care
physician my primary care doctor gave me
the MRI on and told me on a Friday that
uh my L5 was bad but I didn't have any
nerve compression so do not have
surgery well at that point my husband
was helping me out of a chair and I
couldn't stand for very long couldn't
hardly walk and then by Monday Dr benady
himself called me and was saying exactly
where my pain was telling me where I
hurt and I said yes you know he knew
that I was having numbness in my feet
and he said are you losing your balance
a lot and it had it has been happening a
lot where all of a sudden I'll just
stagger after standing very long so I
was impressed just by him knowing where
I was where my primary care
doctor for years he wouldn't know I had
spine pain on her in-person evaluation
day Julia received additional MRIs and
x-rays at the on campus Imaging Center
they had me follow the MRI signs to get
to the X-ray Center it wasn't very far
to get to and um they were really quick
it was like they had the x-ray images
immediately to look at the patented
benady spine procedures are performed
incrementally using conscious IV
sedation where the patient patient
remains awake and communicating with
their surgeon to ensure the source of
their pain is eliminated before they
leave the operating table although not
everyone remembers the experience then
my anesthesiologist told me no I was
talking the whole time and
even that was you I looked at and you
said yes I was talking and and doing the
movements like many after their bonady
spine procedures Julia was surprised at
how quickly she was able to be up and
walking so soon after surgery the first
day I did walk right off and um I
noticed I was walking straighter and
faster than I had for a long time I feel
like when I'm walking I'm not hurting I
would recommend The benady Spine
Institute to any of my family and
friends I'm looking forward to going on
vacations and being able to get out and
walk to see more stories of recovery
