55+ Homes for Sale in Middletown, Delaware

A lot of seniors are deciding to retire to Delaware, specifically in Middletown, Delaware. So today I'm going to show you three different homes all located in 55 plus communities in Middletown, Delaware. Hello everyone. Welcome back to my channel. If you are new here, I'm Jen, your Delaware realtor. So like I just said, I have three different homes that are all located in 55 plus communities here in Middletown, Delaware, and they are all ranch style homes, so no need to worry about stairs. And they are all located in different communities throughout Middletown. So whether you're looking in Spring Mill or Bayberry or Whispering Woods, there is a home basically for sale in almost every 55 plus community here in Delaware. So without further ado, let's just jump right on in. All right. So the first one is listed for $635,000. It is a three bedroom, two bath. It is 1,950 square feet built in 2021. This one does have a basement and it sits on 0.24 acres. All right. So taking a look, we do have a mixed, we do have a mixture of brick and vinyl siding. It does have a small porch area and it looks like it has a paver flower beds already lined. And honestly, flowers already put in there for you. It looks really, really pretty. We have a two car garage with a small driveway, and it does look like there's a paver walkway to get to your trash cans, which are located right here behind this little gate. Coming in, we have hardwood floors. It looks like throughout the main living area, it has recess lights and a ceiling fan in the living room. And then we have these picture frame molding on this wall right here. It does have a fireplace with the TV above. So we're coming in the front door right here. We have a chandelier in the foyer area. And then we also have this dining room area, which is separate. Looks like a separate area for dining. So if you are someone that loves to host, I hear that a lot, that you're looking for a separate dining area, this would probably be the home for you. I love this clock. I just, I absolutely love the character of this clock. I know that doesn't come with the house, but it's really nice. And then it does look like it has crown molding above, I think, is that, I think that's what that is, is above the windows. But if you were to open these blinds up, you would get lots of natural light in this house. As you can see, like window, window, window. And then there's like a sunroom right here. And there's also windows in the kitchen. So lots of natural light. This is coming in through the front door to give you an idea on how big this dining room area is. And then it has windows for the front porch right here. Oh, and then there is a, what looks like an office area with French doors off of the left of the front door. The sink is located right under the windows, has granite countertops, but the countertops are different from the island countertop. Not sure what that is. That might be quartz. Then you have two pendant lights over the island, stainless steel appliances. Looks like an electric cooktop right here. Double oven. It does look like the, yes, the island is, does have a little bit of an overhang here for two bar stools, as you can see right here. The hardwood floors do come through the kitchen and the sunroom area. And then the sunroom area they're using as another eating kitchen area. It does have coffered ceilings and it has recess lights and a ceiling fan in here as well. And then there's a slider that goes out to the deck. The primary bedroom is definitely big enough for a king size bed and two nightstands and even dressers as well. Now the, the bedrooms are carpeted. Then we have the primary bath. It has separate sinks and this little vanity in between. It does not have a very huge lift to get into the shower. And I'm sure there is a bench in there as well. Then we have bedroom number two, also has a ceiling fan. Definitely a decent size for a guest bedroom. Then we have bedroom number three that they're using as another sitting area. We have the hall bath, which has one sink, and I'm sure there's a tub here. So if your kids come to stay with you and they bring their grandkids, they can still give them a bath. Then we have the laundry room, which has cabinets and it does have a mop sink. And then this is the deck area. So it does have stairs to go down if you wanted to hang out in your actual backyard as well. Then we have an unfinished basement, which could be finished later if you wanted to. And it looks like they've already put drywall up on the ceiling. So really all you would need to do is just put studs and drywall up on the surround and flooring. But they're using it as a workout space, could be used as a game room or another sitting area, or maybe you like to craft, or maybe like a little reading place down there for you. You do not back up to anyone. So this is common area. And these are fast growing trees. So it will give you, in a couple of years, you won't even be able to probably see in between through here. And this one is located in Bayberry. So there is a clubhouse, it has an outdoor pool, it has a fitness center. There's plenty of different things to do here at this community. And the HOA fee for this one is $180 monthly. All right. So like I said, that one's listed for $635,000. It's a three-bedroom, two-bath. It's 1,950 square feet, built in 2001, or 2021, sorry. All right. So the second one is listed for $619,900. It is a three-bedroom, three-bath. It is 1,771 square feet, built in 2022. This one also has a basement and this one sits on 0.21 acres. This one has an HOA fee of $257 monthly. This one also has a clubhouse. All right. So this one has a mixture of stone and siding and the cedar shake right here. And I really like this little dormer right here. So we do have a front porch area, which they already have it set up with Adirondack chairs. We have a two-car garage and the front door does sit back slightly. I really like the color of that front door. In the backyard, it does have a screened-in porch area, which then goes off to this paver patio with a fire pit. And it is, I believe that's an opening right there to get out to the yard if you need to. So coming into the front door, we do have LVP flooring throughout the foyer area. We have a light fixture right here. Now they have it set up, this honestly is how I would set it up too. We have a little bench area right here. You have a little table. I would switch out the art and probably do like a mirror right here, but I actually really love this table right here. It does have the chair molding, chair roll molding and with the picture frame. And then coming into the kitchen, we have an island, which does have the sink in the island. And then there's, you put some bar stools right here, probably enough room for three, two pendant lights over the island. You have some open cabinets with some glass. So this is where you would kind of stage your dishes. We do have an electric cooktop over the mic, I'm sorry, under the microwave. And then we have the double oven. Have a pantry right here. Backsplash is already taken care of for you. It does look like the cabinets go to the ceiling and we have recess lights in the kitchen. And it looks like we have granite countertops. I think that's what that is. And then coming into the dining room area, I can't tell, I think this is built in. So we have more open cabinets here, uppers and bottom. You could probably make this into a dry bar if you wanted to. And then, or you could put your like China in here. We have a chandelier over the dining room table, which then opens up to the living room area. We have recess lights with the ceiling fan, stone fireplace with the TV above, lots of natural light coming into this one. And then right off of the dining room area, we have this slider going out to that screened in porch area that we talked about. We do have this closet right here. So that's just additional storage for you. I really like this cabinet they have right here. And then we do have a sunroom, which has French doors, which could be used as another office. If you are someone that still, I mean, if you're someone that still works, honestly. And then right off of the dining room area, it looks like we have a hallway here, which I'm going to assume is bedrooms, but we'll get there. But taking a look at the screened in porch area, it does have high ceilings and a ceiling fan. And you could set it up where you could put a sectional out here. You could do just a couple of chairs like they have it. You could do a dining room table, definitely a nice area to not get attacked by bugs, right? And then the sunroom has another ceiling fan in here. They're having it set up like another living area. But like I said, it could be used as an office as well, especially since you have the French doors. Now, they have another area of the home being set up as an office, most likely in the front of the house. And then it also has a ceiling fan. It does look like it has built-in shelving right here and right here behind the door. Then we have the primary bedroom. It has tray ceilings with a ceiling fan, lots of room in this one. You have dressers on the perimeter. This is most likely a queen-sized bed, but could definitely fit a king-sized bed. And you could put dress nightstands on each side of the bed. And it does look like the bedrooms are carpeted. Coming into the owner's bath, we have two sinks. They are separated by this cabinet right here. And it does look like it has a bench tile surround, which goes floor to ceiling with glass doors. Bedroom number two has a ceiling fan as well. It is carpeted. This is most likely a queen-sized bed or a full-sized bed. Still plenty of room to get by the bed with a dresser right here at the foot of the bed. And then we also have two nightstands, so decent-sized room for the bedroom number two. Then we have the hall bath that has one sink. As you can see in the mirror, it is a tub. Yeah, it's a tub surround. And it looks like there's a heating lamp in this one. And then, okay, so this is what they're calling a study or possibly a fourth bedroom. Now, it doesn't have a closet, but it does have front doors on it. And it does have that ceiling fan. Then we have the laundry room, which does have the cabinets above the laundry. It does look like it has storage right here as well. And it does have the mop sink. Coming down to the basement. Now, this one does have a finished basement. It has the Berber carpet, recessed lights, high ceilings. They have it set up as additional living space. It could be a movie room. It could be a game room. You could put a pool table down here. You could put in a bar area. It does have a... Look, see, wet bar. It already has a wet bar in there for you. So plenty of space to entertain guests. And then they also have a bedroom in the basement as well. So could be another bedroom. And they also set up a bathroom in the basement, which is a full bath. So not a big lip to get in here. And it has glass doors. So if you have someone that stays with you for a little bit, that also can be used as a guest area. And then what we talked about, the outdoor with having this paver patio already taken care of for you with the fire pit and the lights out here as well. So this would probably be really, really pretty. And it is a corner a lot. So you do get a slightly bigger lot being on the corner. All right. And that one, like I said, is listed for $619,900, three-bedroom, three-bath. All right. The last one is listed for $539,999. It is a three-bedroom, three-bath. It is 2,475 square feet built in 2023. This one, it sits on 0.19 acres and this one backs up to woods. All right. So coming in, we have the two-car garage and then the front door sits back a little bit. This one does not have a front porch area where you could sit out in the front, but you could put like a planter out here. Coming in, the front door is back here. So you're going to come in and then you're going to have with the sink in your island. Backsplash is already taken care of for you. Does have stainless steel appliances. And this is an electric cooktop. Pantry is right here. It has LVP flooring throughout the main living area. You have a dining room area right here and the dining room area goes right off to this deck area. And you could always screen this in. I saw a lot of homes in here have screened this in and you can put a little grill out here. In the summer, you'd be able to open this up. You get lots of natural wind and like just air movement and also natural light coming into these windows. Then right off of the kitchen area, you do have the living room area, which you could put a sectional, you could put a loveseat here and a couch here and a recliner over here. You can put your TV on this wall or your TV on this wall. I mean, there's lots of different furniture placement for this one. Lots of natural light coming through these windows. And then this is the front door. So you would come in the front door. You have this area to put a bench and a mirror or a piece of art. And then you do have enough room to put this table here as well. Kind of set up like that. And then this is the primary bathroom. It has double sinks with this upgraded vanity and it does have tile on the floor, which matches the shower. Not a huge lip to get in and the tiles surround. Downstairs, you have the finished basement. It has recessed lights, carpeted, absolutely brand new. It honestly doesn't even look touched and it does have what looks like a slider right here behind this curtain. And then, I mean, it is pretty, pretty large down here. So plenty of room for a sectional or an additional living space. Really, I mean, you could do the same thing as the other house where you have like a wet bar or you have a pool table, craft area. It does have a bathroom down here as well. This is the primary bedroom and it has tray ceilings. This is a king size bed. This primary bedroom is huge. Bedroom number two, you have plenty of room in here as well to put a dresser, beds. And then this is the bathroom that is in the front part of the house. So the bedrooms are separated. So the primary bedroom is in the back part of the house and the other bedroom is up in the front. So this was put in for someone that may have difficulty standing up in the shower. So you would open this up and sit in here and that's how you would shower. And then we have the same, that's the same bedroom. There is a front bedroom and they're being set up as an office, but it could be used as another bedroom. And then plus you have space downstairs that could be in the basement that could be set up as a bedroom as well. You have the laundry room. And then this is that deck that we talked about. I would probably screen this in, but it's really, this is, you have a really nice breeze coming through here. And then this is that, the French door down in the basement, which goes out this patio area, paper patio done already for you. You can put your grill here. You could do, you could set up a little fire pit here, do a little sectional here, but you do back up to woods and it's pretty peaceful at this one. This one has an HOA fee of $155 monthly. This one also has a clubhouse that has an outdoor pool, a fitness center, like card tables, kitchen. And this one is not far from what we, I would consider downtown Middletown. And this one's listed for $539,999. And like I said, it is a three bedroom, three bath, 2,475 square feet built in 2023. And honestly, it doesn't even look really lived in. So there you have it. There are three different homes, all located in Middletown, Delaware in 55 plus communities. So whether you are looking for a home that maybe doesn't have a basement, or you are looking to retire to Delaware, Middletown may just be the spot for you. It is definitely booming. We have lots of people moving to Middletown. And I feel like almost every day I'm saying, oh, we have a new restaurant, or we have a new store, or there's more amenities coming. And it's not very far from the Christiana Costco. It's not very far from Sam's Club in Dover or BJ's in Newcastle. So we do have the big box stores too. Don't get me wrong.
