Hey there everyone, it's Jenna. Welcome or welcome back to the channel.
In today's video, we're gonna head off to HomeGoods and do a little shopping
together because this is my favorite time of year to
check out what's new at HomeGoods. They have all of the beautiful spring
decor and outdoor planters and it's just really fun to pick out all
of those designer looking pieces for spring,
but they're of course for those amazing HomeGoods prices. So
I'm going to show you some designer dupes and give you some styling ideas
as we go through the store and then we'll come back home and I'll show you
everything that I found from my own space in a little haul
and how I'm planning to style it so you can get some fun spring decorating
ideas for your own space. So I hope you guys enjoy it and without
further ado, let's go to HomeGoods. Okay so here we are at HomeGoods and I
just love all of the outdoor furniture that's here this time of year.
I really liked this little scallop set. It reminded me of something you find at
Serena & Lily where just a similar table is the same price as the entire set
and I also loved this outdoor woven scalloped bench.
Typically sealed or finished woven materials like this
tend to be durable and hold up really well in the outdoor elements.
We have lots of woven outdoor furniture in our space and
it's held up really well and I love all of the natural texture that it gives to
an outdoor space. So I love that there's a lot of that
here to choose from whether it's larger furniture pieces or smaller accents
and scallop details have been really big the past couple of years and right now
I'm seeing them everywhere here at HomeGoods. I really liked these
melamine serving trays with the fun printed patterns on them.
They had so many here to choose from and they were all under $10
and these are great for aesthetically serving appetizers or giving as a
hostess gift maybe with some bread and oil.
And something else that I spotted that I was really excited about were these
woven solar lanterns and layering lanterns in a space can
instantly make it feel elevated whether you're hanging them over a dining area
or utilizing a low hanging tree or you could string them together against a
wall. I just think that these can really help
to add cozy layers of light and texture to a patio area.
I was kind of bummed that there was only one woven one here but it got me
inspired seeing it so I found some more online that I will link down below in
the description box. They did have several black rope ones
that I thought might be kind of cool but
I'm gonna keep my eye out for some more natural looking ones over the next
couple of months. I also loved these weatherproof touch
lamps. These look super similar to the ones they sell at Pottery Barn for $175
when this pack of three was only $40. And another designer dupe that I spotted
was this stunning live edge wood appetizer tray. This has a really
similar look to the one they sell at Williams Sonoma for $160
while this one was only $15. And I also love the idea of this little
outdoor woven caddy. This guy was only $9.99 and has a very
similar look to the one they sell at McKee & Co for $48.
I love layering woven details into a spring or summer tablescape.
It just helps to dress it up a bit in a practical way where you can hold things
like napkins, condiments, silverware so it's perfect
if you like to host for those summer outdoor gatherings.
Another thing that I thought was super cool was this woven outdoor side table
and it also doubles as a serving tray and storage.
I was really shocked that this thing was only $40 and it would be really cute if
you had some chaise lounges outside so you could have a little tray and
storage nearby and then use the tray if you want to eat or entertain on the
loungers. So something that I always see designers
layering into their spaces in some form are vintage textiles. Whether it's
rugs or tapestries or pillows, vintage inspired fabrics like these
definitely have a designer look to them. So these Lalloy poofs were $70 each
and I've seen super similar ones on Scout and Nimble that are the same Lalloy
brand for over $200. Something else that I thought was really
neat was this black and white art piece. I loved how this was printed on a tweed
like fabric to give off a really neat texture
and this is a photograph that was taken in Natural Bridges Monument in Utah
in 1925 and I just love the story and personality that this piece has
with the vintagey feel and the earthy texture and just the feel of the western
landscape. If you're into a more traditional decor
aesthetic, I thought that these chairs were such a find.
I love the classic stripe pattern and awful texture in the detail of the
wooden arms and legs. This is a great dupe for the Shiloh
chair at Ballard Designs but I did think $400 was a little pricey
because I've seen similar chairs on Wayfair for under $300.
Another designer dupe that I spotted was this textured planter
and this looks just like the Minka textured pot that they sell at
Anthropologie for $80 while this planter was only $25.
I love all of the earthy texture that this would add to a space
and I love how it looks to be expensive and handmade with all of the organic
edges and knotty texture variations. And another piece that you all know I'm
obsessed with are distressed terracotta planters.
I feel like they just help to give off such a rustic feel to a garden or patio
space and both of these were stunning and a
but I also spotted this plastic planter that has a terracotta look
and texture to it for only $35 and I actually have this planter and I
love how light and easy it is to move around my garden because it is that
plastic material. Another plastic planter that had a more
high-end feel to it was this charcoal one.
It was only $16.99 and looked like those antique clay pots that sell for
hundreds of dollars on designer websites.
I also thought that these tortoise shell beads were such a fun decor piece for
only $17. I love having these beaded garlands on
hand to elevate my styling. They're so easy to just drape over a
bowl or to pop in a tray to give your space a more finished look.
And another designer dupe that I'm seeing a ton of right now are these fun
cocktail glasses. They sell the same ones at Crate & Barrel for twice the
price and I saw so many fun shapes here that you could collect so that each
person could have a different themed cup when you're hosting.
Okay so we're back home from the store and I'm going to show you guys
everything that I found for our own space
and how I'm planning to style it. So the first thing that I found
is maybe one of my favorite finds and it is this gorgeous distressed little
scallop detail terracotta pot. Now originally I almost didn't buy this
because it didn't have a drainage hole but I just thought it was so charming
with like the distressed detail and all of the little scallops on it. It just
reminded me of something that would be in a Tuscan garden. But then I remembered
I've been looking for something to put on our windowsill to put little herbs in
so I can have an herb garden next to our sink
and I figured this would be perfect and I like the fact that it didn't have a
drainage hole because I can put the little basil
plants from Trader Joe's right in here and it fits perfectly and so
after I water it I can still put it in here and not worry about it draining
onto my marble tray. So that way it just keeps everything in
here and I can easily clean it out because this does have a sealant on the
inside so it's easy to just wipe out. So this is a perfect little piece to add a
rustic European feel to our countertop and it's perfect for those herbs that I
get from Trader Joe's because like I said they fit
perfectly inside here and I did find this at HomeGoods but I will say I found
this exact same planter online so I will link that below as well. Okay so
this next piece is too big for me to hold and show you here on camera so
I'll just insert footage but I spotted this really beautiful
tall terracotta handled urn for only $49.99. I was like oh my gosh I have to
get this. Even the lady at the checkout was like
this is such a good deal and I was like I know.
So what I'm going to use this for is to dress up one of our pillars on our
outside patio. I thought it'd be really pretty to
layer some pots and some plants there so I'm going to use the big one just as
decor to kind of anchor the space and then I'm going to fill it in with a
larger cactus and a little succulent plant that I have.
And I love using groups of planters at our different heights because
I just feel like that looks really visually pleasing and it helps your
space to feel more layered and just look more professionally styled.
I think that this will look really beautiful out on our patio and it'll
just be a nice addition to kind of give off that
Spanish Southwestern vibe that I'm going for. Okay so full disclosure this next
piece is from Marshall's but I have seen very similar if not the same piece at
HomeGoods and it is this beautiful candle warmer.
Now if you guys remember I bought a candle warmer on Amazon that I used in
our rental and I just love the look of that
especially because we signed in our lease that we wouldn't light open flames
so I just started utilizing this so I could use candles in our rental and
through that I actually found that these are like the only way that I want to
light a candle anymore because I feel like they make your candles last longer.
You don't have to worry about an open flame and it still really spreads the
scent throughout the house and then on top of it you get a really
pretty decor piece that just adds to the candle burning experience.
So I found this guy for $19.99 because I want to have a couple different candle
warmers throughout my house so I still have the vintage looking one from the
rental. I'll link that one down below but I
just thought this one would be so cute to use in our main living space because
this one ties in a little bit better because we have a lot of black accents
and I love the curved neck of the lamp and that relates back to our light
fixture in our living room. I also love the sweet scalloped detail
on this lampshade and the beautiful kind of like organic
linen-y material that's on the lampshade. I just think that this one is really
stunning but for now I'm going to pop it on our kitchen countertop because that
will help to dress up the space a little bit,
add a fun piece of cozy decor over there, and it'll just be nice when I'm cooking
or doing the dishes to have a nice little cozy moment for myself with a
candle. Okay so when it comes to entertaining
I really gravitate towards drinkware, that pan blown glass.
I don't know what it is but incorporating things into my decorating
into my household that are handmade just makes it feel like it has a story
and that they're special and they're collected and it adds a touch of that
human element into my decor which I really love especially with like
drinkware. It's such a fun conversation piece so we have a lot of pretty
hand-blown glass that I use for our cocktails and margaritas
but I don't really have a lot of wine glasses so when I spotted these I knew
that they were perfect so I picked up four of these hand-blown
little stemless wine glasses. These were seven dollars each
and these were made in Italy. I love the white with the little flecks of color in
here. They also did have these in blue as well
so I had a hard time deciding if I wanted to get half and half
or what but ultimately I just decided on the white and I might go back to get the
blue. I don't know but I just love having
pieces like this that are fun and unique and when you're having guests or pouring
a drink of wine it just feels special to have something that's handmade.
Okay so recently I showed you all in our patio makeover how I planted up these
really fun centerpieces full of cacti and
succulents in these nice terracotta bowls that I got at Marshall's
and I just loved how that turned out so much that I wanted to do something
similar to bring inside of our home. So I found this really beautiful terracotta
planter bowl at Marshall's. Again this is a Marshall's find. Our Marshall's and
HomeGoods are right next to each other so like for me sometimes I'm like they're
the same thing but full disclosure this was Marshall's but a lot of times I see
the same stuff at HomeGoods but this guy was only $12.99 which I felt
like was such a good deal so I think I'm just gonna put a cactus in here because
I love the sculptural shape that they add to a space
and it also helps to bring a piece of our outdoor desert landscape
indoors to blend the indoor and outdoor feel which I love and what I love about
cacti is that they bring a living element of
the outdoors inside your home in a really easy
attainable and low maintenance way so they're super easy to take care of just
make sure that they have light and even if you don't live in the
desert I feel like cacti can really help to elevate a space. They just add this
sculptural element that seems almost artistic in a way
and sometimes it can be unique and unexpected if you don't live somewhere
like the desert. I don't know I just think that they're really fun
and low maintenance and they're something that I've recently become
obsessed with decorating with. Okay so I don't know about you guys but
every time I go through the candle section I always find so many good ones
and I go through, I do the sniff test, I have fun, I enjoy myself, I picture the
moment I'm gonna have with this candle and just like how it's gonna make my
home smell and then I think about it for a second and I look at the price
and I always see like eight, nine, ten, twelve dollars and I'm like
nah and I put it back and I walk away. That happens to me
all the time so when I saw that our home goods had like an entire
clearance section of candles for five dollars and under
I was stoked. So I sniffed pretty much every single candle
on that rack and I found these two and they were such finds.
I got this one that's originally $12.99 on clearance for five bucks
and to me this just like looks like the desert. I love the kind of clay
sandy color that it is, how it has like those terracotta tones in it.
I figured this would be a beautiful styling piece to just pop and accent
some of my vases. I love the shape of this it's nice and big and substantial
so it can hold its own next to a vase. It doesn't look like small or dinky.
It looks like an actual like expensive candle that you got at Pottery Barn or
Anthropologie or something like that. So this one was such a find and then I
also found this little spotted ceramic one.
As you can see I'm very drawn to ceramics. I think again
it looks handmade. It's a little connection to the earth because it's
made out of clay which I really like so it helps to ground your space and make
it feel a lot more earthy and natural. So I found this sand and fog candle. This
one was originally again $12.99 for five bucks so such a steal. I love the little
speckle detail and this is perfect for somewhere like a nightstand
to pop next to a smaller base or just be a little accent piece on a shelf or
something like that. Okay so I'm kind of wondering if I've
done this home goods video in the wrong order
because I really do want to show you guys like room reveals of our house but
I want each room to kind of feel polished and finished and sometimes it
takes me a while to work through that in my head.
Sometimes I have to switch furniture around or you know I still have to go
through a lot of our boxes with furniture that I haven't even unpacked
since North Carolina so I kind of wanted to live in this space
for a little while and like mull over the design until I shared it with you
but something that I have decided on is that in our main living area I'm going
to do that combo of the navy sofa with the cognac color. So I think that combo
looks really good together. So when I saw this pillow I knew it would be perfect
for our living space and this guy was $39.99 so a little
pricey for a pillow but I thought that this was such a
statement piece. I loved all the texture and the design on here and kind of the
stonewashed patchwork detail. It has again that handmade look to it.
I feel like that should be the theme for this video is like just gravitating
towards handmade items or things that look handmade.
I do think it just adds and infuses that human element into your space. It makes
it feel more alive. I don't know I don't know if that's like a good description
of why I'm drawn to handmade things but this does have a little tag on it
saying that these were handmade and that each one might vary from piece to
piece just because the stonewashing occurs
differently each time you do it. So I thought that this was a fun piece and
worth the splurge and it just helps to solidify the color scheme that I'm going
for in our living room which I will later share with you the full scale room
and how everything's styled but for now I'll show you that it will look
really good on our navy sofa combined with all of our other tan, natural,
and organic pillows. So this will be a good one to layer in there with those.
All right everyone so that about wraps up this home goods shop with me and haul.
I hope you all enjoyed it. If you did please don't forget to give this video a
thumbs up. It really does help to support my channel and make sure that you're
subscribed because I have a lot of room reveals coming that you don't want to
miss so be sure that you hit the notification bell so you're notified when
those go live and I just want to thank you all for
being here throughout this whole renovation and moving process.
It's been a lot but I'm starting to get little glimpses of what like being
settled feels like. We're definitely not settled. We're still doing a lot of
renovations. We don't have doors on our kitchen cabinets. Things are still in
boxes but I'm starting to slowly feel like okay
we're here like the settling can happen and I can like breathe.
So I want to thank you guys for coming along on the journey with us
and we're excited to share more with you. I hope you have a wonderful week and I
will see you guys in my next video. Bye!
