FASTEST RC AIRPLANE EVER! - NEW SPEED RECORD with E-Flite V1200!
5 Video Views·Mar 6, 2025
This RC plane hit a new speed record for our channel and is the fastest rc airplane ever on our channel! This is the V1200 RC plane has been out for a while, and I finally got my hands on it. This is a speed test flight to clock how fast we can get this rc plane to go completely stock.
That is so amazing. Here we go.
This plane is by far the fastest RC I've ever flown or driven.
I've seen the makers of this plane say they can push over 200 miles an hour.
I don't know if I can hit that fast, but I do know from my maiden flight
that it's faster than anything I've ever flown.
So in this video, we're going to find out just how fast is it.
I think this is actually the most nervous I've ever been on a non-maiden flight.
This thing was a handful to fly, but just a blast.
So I'm ready to go.
It takes off pretty fast, which I'm really happy about.
It takes a lot of space to land though.
Now, Abby, on this pass, I'm going to put the landing gear up
as we're still going a little bit slow, okay?
And slow for this plane is crazy fast.
Oh no.
I've heard of this happening.
If you're going too fast, you can get one stuck.
There we go.
I think it's, I had to reset it.
Make sure.
Yeah, I'm serious.
That's what they even said in the Horizon video.
If you go too fast.
If they're going too fast, the wheels can get stuck down.
So I want to check that on this pass before we're going any faster than we are.
Looks like they're both up.
Yeah, okay.
That's about the slowest you're ever going to see this plane fly.
Okay, so let's ease into the throttle and off of this bank,
I'm going to throttle up and get a nice pass.
And then we'll do a few diving speed passes too, if I can.
I got to get a good feel for it.
I haven't even done a loop on this plane yet.
Here we go.
Here's full throttle.
Oh, I have got to be quiet on one of these passes.
So you guys can hear it echoing off of the building.
I've got to twist faster.
Okay, here we go.
Here we go.
Now, I saw the, I think the Horizon guys,
what they did when they actually flew this for like speed record,
they might have put a different prop on it.
But otherwise, this is right out of the box, you guys.
Here we go.
Anytime you come in this way, you're so much closer.
It's impossible to follow.
That's fast.
Wow, that's fast.
We're getting ready to come in over the runway.
Easing into throttle here.
Guys, that is amazing.
Wow, it's amazing.
Have you taken it out of safe yet?
Are you going to take it out of safe?
Not on this flight.
We're just going to leave it in safe to keep it nice and stable.
Here we go.
You always get so close.
Now, I'll tell you what.
Here's what we're going to do.
Let me go in.
I want to do a nice full circle.
We're going to go from right to left with a dive, okay?
So I am going to go out of safe, climb up.
We're going to roll it over and dive down.
Full throttle?
You know what?
No, because I actually was so far out, I lost orientation.
I lost you.
I just lost you.
We are going pretty fast.
Oh my goodness.
Now, that's not full throttle, okay?
It was pretty cool that I dove down below the hill though.
What I am going to do because I have to take it out so far to really get a feel for it.
I'm going to come in off of a dive this way, right?
Not a completely straight down dive, but still pretty good.
Here we go.
And we'll just come in quick.
You know, what it's doing, this GPS that's inside of it is recording the peak speed.
The fastest that it ever went.
So I'm throwing a lot of different scenarios at it.
That is so amazing.
I think the echo of it sounds cooler.
The sound.
It is awesome.
Guys, I want to do just a nice roll because I haven't done that yet on this plane.
Just a good old roll.
And another roll and then loop.
Just because I haven't done it yet.
Well, I hit safe because I'm flying this thing so high and so far away.
You are so high and so far away.
I kind of have to, you know?
It really dominates the sky.
So what I'm going to do on this pass is drop the landing gear so we can actually get ready
for a landing and see if we can see how fast it went.
Now the landing was kind of rough the last time.
So they're both down.
I see them both down.
I'm just going to ease into this bank and hopefully I get it right on the first try this time.
We're going to go full flaps.
That beep you heard is just my radio.
It's a timer.
I am going to hit full flaps pretty quickly.
As soon as I get out of this bank and try to land it fast.
Here we go.
That's zero throttle, full flaps, nosing it down.
I did not do that last time.
I maintained throttle for quite a bit of that.
I'm still going to have to bleed off a lot of speed.
Here we go.
That's still way better than that last landing.
Way better.
Now I just got to keep it straight.
Keep it straight because that last landing, it tipped up pretty bad and I should be able
to taxi it back in.
Let's just go one solid cut here so everybody knows we're not cheating or anything.
I think I just barely got it.
I just barely got it.
Let's taxi it in and I am, my heart is pumping you guys.
I'm excited to see how fast this went.
Sorry, I could taxi a little faster, but I'm afraid I'll take off.
It does take off really fast.
You just need a good bit of space to land it.
It's so easy to fly.
That really is.
Okay, flaps are up.
Let's see what we got, Abby.
By the way, this magnet is so hard to take off.
They had to make it strong.
What is it?
That's not as fast as I was hoping, but I got 131 miles an hour.
Did you see that?
That's still the fastest I think we've ever made a speed meter go.
Well, that's a pretty proud moment right there.
Different prop and maybe better flying like dive bombing and we could hit close to 200
miles an hour.
I saw horizon hit like 170, then they hit like 183 and then when the last time that
guy pulled it out of the airplane, that's like a year ago, it said like 201 and I thought,
okay, I'm now afraid to fly this plane, but that was really fun.
Now, it takes a really good airplane to get me really excited about that airplane and
I'm so pumped about this.
I love how it sounds going by.
That thing is awesome.
The V1200, it's linked in the description box below, but I do not encourage beginners
to fly this.
There are so many airplanes that you need to fly before you ever think about flying
something like this.
The only reason I felt comfortable even attempting this is because I have the Academy of Model
Aeronautics in my pocket.
That's insurance for the model flyer, the hobbyist that does enjoy flying RC planes.
It's insurance for in case anything would go wrong.
This thing gets out of control and God forbid, smacks into someone's car building or someone
gets hurt.
So, if you want to be insured like me, and I highly encourage you do, whether you're
flying something that goes 131 miles an hour out of the box or just a nice little trainer
plane, beginners, intermediate pilots, and pros should all be flying with AMA and we'll
have them linked in the description box below.
You've got to sign up.
They've got a great magazine subscription, if nothing else, but to know that you're safe
while you're flying means the world to us and I wouldn't imagine doing anything like
this without them in my pocket.
I don't know, this feels like one of those, you know, I almost feel like I'm getting an
award, right?
Like, I just want to thank the people.
No, I do want to thank God for today, for getting this plane back in one piece and hitting
a speed record for our channel.
This is officially the fastest RC I've ever flown.
This is right out of the box, guys.
I charged a battery, I found it to my radio, and I hit 131 miles an hour.
So a big thanks to the big guy upstairs for getting it back in one piece on both my maiden
flight and this speed record flight.
That's so awesome.
And a massive thanks to our Patreon supporters because you guys have had our backs since
day one and you are like family to us, but also you help support the channel and everybody
that's watching this video for free is because of our Patreon support.
So we thank you guys from the bottom of our hearts.
It means the world to us.
If you're interested in RC planes and maybe you are able to fly something like this, we'll
have a link in the description box below.
But if you want to step up to a sweet plane like this, we'll have trainers available too.
You just got to let us know in the comments where is your skill level and I'll make a
solid recommendation.
And until then, we'll have another really fast RC plane video popping up right about
now.
Thanks for watching.
We'll see you there.
Bye!
