Smyrna, Delaware has become so popular, so popular that there are literally no town homes
for sale right now, which blows my mind.
But let's check out what single family homes are on the market in Smyrna, Delaware.
So like I just said, Smyrna has become really popular.
With the growth of Middletown and the surrounding areas, Smyrna is really the next best thing
and it has started to really boom.
We have many different restaurants popping up, there are many different housing developments
popping up, and it's really a great place to not only live for families, but retire
to as well.
So the first one is listed for $325,000, it is a three-bedroom, two-bath, it is 1,152
square feet.
It was built in 1994, this one does not have a basement, so it is a single, one-level home,
it's a ranch-style home.
This would be perfect for someone that maybe is just starting out or someone that is looking
to downsize.
This one also sits on an acre, so a nice little piece of land in Smyrna.
And this one is not in a neighborhood, so this one does not have an HOA.
All right, so let's take a look at this one inside.
This one is not staged and it currently does not have any furniture in it, so we're gonna
have to kind of use our imagination a little bit.
So that when you're coming in the front door, you are going to have a coat closet to the
left of the front door, and then you're gonna be walking into what I would consider the
family room.
I would remove these blinds right here, to me, these just scream old.
I'm allowed to say that because literally, when I moved into my house, my grandmother
had these almost on every single window, and that was literally the first thing that I
took down.
Anyway, it does have recess lights in the family room and it does have a ceiling fan.
So I personally would probably put my TV on this wall or this one.
You do have baseboard heat, so you don't want to put anything up against that.
So you can always put your furniture or your TV, I guess, like in this corner too, and
then put your couch on this side of the room.
Now on the other side of this wall, we do have the kitchen area.
So this is the front door, you could put your couch here and maybe your TV here, put your
TV here.
I mean, there's different placements that you can do with your furniture.
Like I said, on the other side of this wall, and honestly, you may just say, I want to
forget this wall and just rip this out and make it very, very open.
We do have a good amount of countertop space and also cabinets.
It does have one light in here, so you could probably switch that out.
These cabinets, I personally would paint whether it's you're doing white or I've seen navy
has been super popular lately, gray.
I mean, I know they're calling it millennial gray and I am a millennial, so I understand
you may not want that.
That's why I suggested navy.
You could also switch out the appliances for stainless steel appliances.
You do have the sink that is located right under the window.
You have this back door that goes to the backyard, and this kitchen does look like it is big
enough to put a small table right here for like an eat-in kitchen area.
Now they did add a couple cabinets right here, and then this is where they're keeping the
microwave.
Once again, this could be all reconfigured, but this would be a great starter home or
someone that's looking to downsize.
This is another angle of like most people are probably going to say, I want to get rid
of this wall and just make this really, really open.
On the other side of the living room, we do have bedroom number one.
It does have a ceiling fan in it, and it does have, I don't know if this is wallpaper or
if it's like shiplap.
And then this is the full bath off of that bedroom.
Does have subway tile from floor to ceiling.
Then we have bedroom number two.
It has LVP flooring in it and a ceiling fan.
Most likely big enough for a full-size bed.
And then bedroom number three.
This one is most likely a little bit smaller than the other two, so I would say you probably
could fit a full-size bed in here, but you may not be able to fit too much more than
that.
Yeah, this one looks like, this will be great for like a nursery.
And then this is the hall bath.
I'm assuming behind this, there's probably a tub.
And then this is the hallway that goes to the hall bath, which is right off of the living
room.
So keep in mind that your primary bedroom is separate from your other two bedrooms.
And then we have the backyard.
Looks like it has a really decent-sized driveway and it looks like a blank slate.
There's not much going on back here, so you could do a gazebo or a trampoline or a swing
set, an above-ground pool, or even an in-ground pool.
I mean, there's definitely different possibilities.
I also think that because you have the land, that if this house, say it is your starter
home and you realize that you really love this house and you don't want to move, maybe
you really love the location, I do feel that this house could be added on too, whether
you go up or you go back with an addition.
All right.
So like I said, that one is listed for $325,000.
It is a three-bedroom, two-bath.
It is 1,152 square feet.
The next one is listed for $404,900.
It is a three-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath.
It is 1,838 square feet, built in 2011.
And this one does have a basement.
This one is in an HOA, so it is $50 annually, and it sits on 0.28 acres.
So let's take a look at what this one looks like.
You do have this small front porch area where it's probably big enough for maybe like two
rocking chairs or even just like a loveseat, but not much more than that.
It does have a one-car garage.
You have a pretty decent size, like I would say almost like an oversized driveway.
And it does have this spot right here, right next to the garage where you would put your
trash cans, but they did a decorative look to it where there's a little bit of lattice.
So it kind of covers them up so they're not kind of sticking out.
In the backyard, we do have a fire pit with pavers already set up for you, and it looks
like there's a paver path that comes off the deck and off of the side of the garage to
this paver fire pit back here, as you can see right here.
It does look like you back up to a little like woods area, so you have a little bit
of privacy.
And then we do have a truck stack, so you will not have very much maintenance on it.
You will not need to paint it or keep it stained or anything else like that.
And it looks like it is big enough.
Oh, it is a 12 by 14 deck.
So it's big enough to put a dining room table or if you wanted to do a sectional out here
and maybe like a grill.
And it does look like you have a little bit of a blank slate, too, in the fact that you
could extend this patio.
I mean, I probably would extend this out a little bit, make this maybe like a backyard
oasis.
You could put a gazebo back here.
I mean, there's definitely different possibilities.
It looks like it's big enough that if you have children, they could have a trampoline
back there or a swing set.
You do have a shed here as well, and it really gives you like this sense of privacy back
here.
Now, I'm sure that this in the winter isn't as lush, so you probably will be able to see
I'm assuming there is probably a farm behind here based off of what I know about this neighborhood.
So we do have paver walkways also going up to the front steps as well.
And I do like this stone accent right here.
I think I don't see that very often, so I really do actually like that.
And it does have flower boxes on the windows as well.
Coming into the front door, it looks like it has hardwood floors, and it does say that
this is an Amish-made hall tree, which I'm going to assume that they are leaving it based
off of the agent mentioning that.
You do have French doors to the left of the front door, which I'm going to assume is an
office.
And then the family rooms, you're going to come in here.
The family room looks like it is a really decent size.
It is pretty much open to the eat-in kitchen area and part of the kitchen.
It does have one light, and it looks like there's a recess light right here, but I'm
not sure if that's the only one.
It does have, I guess they tried to make an accent here with the, make it kind of look
like a fireplace, even though it's really not.
They did it with the shiplap, so there is a TV over this shelf area.
Different furniture placement, you could do a sectional this way or this way, or you could
set it up the same way that they have it.
It does look like the paint is a neutral paint, and it does match the flooring.
Lots of natural light coming in these windows, like if you can tell, I mean, there's a lot
of sunlight coming in these windows, you wouldn't even need these lights on.
It does have a peninsula-style countertop, so you can put a couple bar stools, and then
there's definitely enough room for a good-sized table here.
I actually really like this table.
To be honest with you, I think it matches my furniture.
That's why I like it.
And then you do have a space to put a chandelier over the dining room table.
Behind the dining room table, we do have the slider that goes out to that back deck that
we saw.
And then right off of the dining room, we do have the kitchen.
Now, once again, if you do not like the color of these cabinets, you can always paint them.
They do look like they are wood-style cabinets.
And then it does have a barn door for the pantry, stainless steel appliances, a small
island.
I mean, you have a lot of countertops and cabinets in here as well.
It does say that they are Amish-made counters, okay.
Lots of Amish-made objects in this house.
And it does have a pot filler and a six-burner gas range, okay.
That's really nice.
The backsplash is already taken care of for you.
Once again, neutral in color.
So right off of the front door, yes, so that is an office area.
So if you do work from home, this may be the perfect home for you.
You can put your office furniture in here and work from home, or you could set this
up as a playroom or just another living room area.
I've seen people set it up as almost like a guest bedroom.
Now you won't have a closet.
You can always do an armoire, but it's an additional flex room essentially.
And there's a good amount of space in this room.
Then you have a laundry room, which does have a shelving and a cabinet over top of the laundry
area.
And it looks like right here you do have a folding station and a drying rack.
And then also you can hang your clothes as well.
I am not one to hang my clothes, but I do have family members that do hang almost everything.
So this is almost like a dream.
This will be a dream laundry room for her.
And then we do have the main floor powder room, which does have a pedestal sink, a good
size powder room.
And then coming up the stairway, this is what this looks like.
We have the primary suite, which does have a ceiling fan and plenty of room.
This is most likely a king size bed.
Plus they have this trunk at the bottom of the bed and they have a recliner.
So to kind of give you an idea on space, it looks like you have plenty of space in this
bedroom.
And they also have dressers on the perimeter of the bedroom.
You do have a walk-in closet and a bathroom right off of the owner's suite.
It does have, it looks like they were going for like a farmhouse theme in this one.
So all of the light fixtures are more towards that farmhouse, like industrial style with
the barn door accent as well.
It does have one sink in the owner's bathroom and it is a stall shower.
I do not, there might be a bench right here from what I can say.
And then this is the walk-in closet, which, wow, they already have shelving done for you.
It looks very organized.
Then we have bedroom number two.
This is most likely a queen size bed, so this kind of gives you an idea on space in this
room.
It does have a ceiling fan.
I would switch out this desk for maybe a dresser, but definitely plenty of room in this bedroom
as well.
Most likely a lot of natural light comes in this room.
If you were to raise up these blinds just a little bit more.
Oh, and bedroom number two also has a walk-in closet, which looks very organized.
And then bedroom number three, once again, it looks like a very decent size bedroom.
Wow.
This is most likely a queen size bed.
You have plenty of room on each side for a dresser.
This is like a recliner just to give you an idea on space.
And then this is the hall bath.
One sink, plenty of countertop, and then I'm assuming behind here is a bathtub and shower.
Then we have the finished basement, which does add more space for entertainment.
And then this is the e-grass window as well.
And then we do have a storage area, which this particular cellar looks like she is here.
She is very, very organized.
It looks like everything has a space.
My husband would be obsessed with this particular home because of how organized it is.
Everything has a space.
And it looks like almost everything is labeled as well.
So they do have a utility room downstairs in the basement.
It says over 300 square feet of storage space.
So that is awesome.
All right.
And that's just like another look outside.
Like I said, that one is listed for $404,900.
It is a three bedroom, two and a half bath that is 1,838 square feet built in 2011.
OK, so the last one is listed for $420,000.
It is a three bedroom, two bath.
It is 1,404 square feet and it does have a basement.
This one was built in 2010 and it sits on 0.25 acres.
This one is in a neighborhood, but it does not say what the HOA fee is.
So I'm not sure yet.
So this one actually is a mixture of brick and vinyl siding, which I feel like we just
do not see anymore.
It does have a red roof, which once again, I also do not feel like we see very often.
It has a small porch area, not big enough for any kind of like rocking chairs or furniture,
but you could put a potted plant right here next to the front door just to bring some
more curb appeal to it.
It does look like it has an extended driveway, so there's definitely more room to add more
vehicles or if this HOA allows for like a camper or a boat or anything else like that,
you may be able to store it right here.
Do not quote me on that, though.
I'm not sure if this HOA allows that.
It does look like it has hardwood floors or I'm sorry, LVP flooring throughout the main
living area.
So you're going to come into the front door and then you're going to be able to see the
family room from the front door.
It does have a fireplace and it is open to the kitchen area, which it does have a small
eat-in kitchen area right here.
Now you could put your TV on this wall right here or you could put it over the fireplace
or you could do a sectional here.
I mean, there's definitely different possibilities.
It does look like the primary bedroom is right off of the great room and I really like this
look.
So you can kind of see just how big this room is.
So we have enough room right here for a dining room table and a china cabinet with the light
fixture over the dining room table.
Actually, I think it's French doors headed off to the backyard and it does look like
the, yes, the island has a little bit of an overhang, enough room for barstools.
In the island, we do have the sink and the dishwasher.
Now this is like a multi-level island.
So you have your sink and dishwasher on one level and then it bumps up to have like almost
like a bar top.
I actually have something very, very similar.
And then we have an electric stove with the microwave over the stove and stainless steel
appliances.
You do have this, it's like a small cabinet area.
I personally think this is perfect for a coffee bar.
I think in it, like I'm not really sure what else you would put there, whether it be like
the toaster or I guess like some people keep like the mail there.
I've seen that before.
But if you were looking for like a clean look, I would say a coffee bar would be perfect
there.
You can keep everything in this cabinet and then you do have a corner pantry.
And then this is standing in the kitchen so you can kind of see the family room and the
dining room area.
I've never seen a microwave like that.
I think that might be the new style microwaves.
Then we have the primary bedroom, like I said, is right off of the great room.
This is a king size bed, definitely enough room for a nightstand on each side of the
bed.
And also it does have bigger dressers on the perimeter, so plenty of room for furniture.
This is bedroom number two.
This looks like a full or a queen style bed.
And we also have a dresser here and a nightstand.
Still looks like there's good enough space to move around in this room.
And then bedroom number three, very similar to the other bedroom, nightstand and two dressers
on the perimeter.
And then we have a finished basement, which looks like it is definitely big enough for
a huge sectional and egress window right here.
They have it set up where it's entertainment, where it could be used as like an office area.
You could build a bar down here.
I mean, there's definitely different possibilities and they also have a storage area as well.
So whether you're looking for a workout space or like the other home where they had all
of their utilities and like stuff, whether they had, they had tools, they have Christmas
decorations.
I mean, they had so many different things.
It was all organized.
And then off the back of the house in the backyard, they do have a large style Trex deck.
So once again, no maintenance.
And then it looks like you almost have a blank slate again.
So whether you're looking for a place to put a trampoline or a swing set or a small shed,
like I said, that one is listed for $420,000.
It is a three bedroom, two bath.
It is 1,404 square feet built in 2010.
All right.
So there you have it.
There are three different homes all listed in Smyrna, Delaware.
And unfortunately, if you are looking for a townhome, you are just out of luck right
now because there's no townhomes available.
So if you're looking for that single family home, now is the time to jump on it.
Most of the homes, actually two of the homes this today were ranch style homes, which a
lot of people that contact me are looking for ranch style homes.
And they're either looking for a basement or they really just want to be on a crawl
space.
So these three would be absolutely perfect if you are looking for that.
Or maybe you're looking for your family and you would like a two story home.
That second one would actually, I mean, I thought that second one was great.
So whether you're looking to buy or sell in Delaware, I would absolutely love the opportunity
to help you.
And my information is down below in the description.
