He does this every Friday.
Strike here and a strike at first ball in the 10th. Sean Rash is your winner.
Big shot.
Nine spare were tied going into the 10th.
There's one.
First ball strike in the 10th. Sean Rash wins title number 12
for the win.
Sean Rash
is your
2017 Gene Carter's Pro Shot Classic Champion.
Well, he still has to stay behind the foul line and keep it on the lane.
But I think he could probably handle that. And this was a gorgeous shot for the wheat, for the money.
You can't throw it any better.
And Sean Rash just quietly went about his business today.
And then tonight,
a huge break. Got off to a bad start.
It took advantage.
See if Anthony can shut him out.
Strike here is help for that. Looks good.
Great shot.
Simonson asking for one of his two authorized re-racks per game during the step ladder.
He's going to take a little extra time for himself because he never
looked at that rack on the way back.
I think he's trying to get his mind right. Fully commit to this next shot, whether it's an adjustment,
strike for Anthony, he wins.
Or even spare strike, he will win. Any 20 in the 10th,
if he gets that strike, that's going to fill 20 in the 10th for sure, keeping the ball on the lane. Spare 9,
there's a possibility for a tie.
Oh no. And this is going to be a real interesting spare attempt on the lefty bucket. We touched on this earlier.
Any multi-pin leave that Simonson will, if should he leave one, will not be one he will typically shoot.
He's going with polyester airs, which means he's probably going right up the right side.
Talk about a gutsy move right here. These are not thoughts that you want to have in a title match.
Dead on.
Tens the winner.
Get your confidence back after that first ball though.
That's the key.
It looked like he moved further left.
Similar to what Matt Sanders was doing.
But that ball just never hooked for him.
Tens a win.
Anything else, give Sanders a chance.
Great shot.
Matt Sanders on the lane, he has kept striking on.
Now has a chance to throw three more and force a one ball roll off. What a final we have here.
We don't need big scores to have great matches.
This is the stuff when all bowlers are young,
you think of, I need the three to win, I need the three to tie and force a roll off. Give me another chance.
Here's that chance for Matt Sanders.
Looks left early.
And Anthony Simonson is going to take home this title
in the Extra-Frame G-Tire Pro Shop Classic.
20 pins to win it here for Simonelli.
On an open strike, spare or spare strike, either one is all the same.
All right, we have one more of those in him for a title.
A strike away from title number eight.
So amazing to be on a shot like that.
Follow-through goes right to his right shoulder and still ends up
on target, on line, and goes through the pins.
Best one for the win.
That's it, Ryan Simonelli is back in the winner's circle.
He is a PBA champion for the eighth time in his career.
And he tastes success in a building where he has come close before, a second place once here.
Now he is the champion of the Gene Carter's Pro Shop Classic.
We will hear from Ryan and present the winner's check presented in just a few moments.
Wichita State, you had the Barnes men, Ryan and Chris, Wichita State folks.
There you go, Mitch.
Oh my goodness, luckiest break maybe of the night.
How about that?
Mitch Hupe was up about halfway down the lanes.
And he is a roll away from title number one and for Packe, title number two in 2023.
That's enough, ladies and gentlemen.
Your champions are
Mitch Hupe, his first PBA Tour title, and Packe Hanrahan, his second title of the year, giving him two in his career,
which seems to be going in the right direction.
A month ago at the US Open, Dino Castillo told me about this young man.
He said, watch out, watch out for Boog. And I'm like, Boog? Who's Boog? He pointed him out, and I watched David
Bulsum at that event, and I said, wow, this kid's impressive.
But he had a lot of really good things go his way today, and you have to have that to win on the tour.
He won three PBA regionals last year.
David Kroll is your Delaware Classic champion, and Boog is a first time PBA champ.
