Women Football - HIGHLIGHTS | Juventus vs. Fiorentina (Coppa Italia Femminile 2024-25 Semi-Final 2nd Leg)

So, away we go at the Stadio Vittorio Pozzo in Biella. It is Juventus against Fiorentina in this year's Coppa Italia semi-final. Juve leading 3-2 from the first leg. This is just their second match since that victory on February 16th. There was a break in the league with Serie A splitting in two. Ahead of the championship play-offs and the relegation round in the bottom half. That is Massimiliano Canzi. Doing an excellent job as head coach of Juventus this season. His first year in charge. He's signed on the attack now. It's Bonansea. Shot blocked. She tries again and that's headed over. Oh, first big chance for Juventus. And it went to the match winner from the first leg, Amelie Vansgaard. Well, Abbey Brighton set up the opener for Haviken in the first leg. Likewise here from the opposite side. Well, the header down was from Vansgaard that time. Not much power in it. A save for Durante to make nonetheless. Well-flighted corner. Fiorentina have a free kick here and they have to think they are capable of turning this around, especially with the veterans bandit Benobacchetti and their team. And she's done well here, just needed a touch. It's more frustration for the Fiorentina skipper, Abbey Brighton. The American placed the ball. Chiara Beckeri is there wearing 18 as well. It is Brighton who takes it. And it's Vansgaard with the header. On the number 14, causing a whole host of problems for Fiorentina early on. Arrived in 2017, scored the club's first ever competitive goal. That was in a cup win over their local rivals Torino. And it's Sneller. One for Argent. Away from Brighton. The cross is a good one. It's Cormac. And now Sneller. Oh, Penomanian spilled the cross, but Juve survive. Sneller here, trying to lift a cross over it. Almost got to Bonfantini. Boulancer. Good ball, great header. And Juventus have the lead. Emma Stolengado on her first appearance has got her first goal for the Bianconeri. Severini. Shot was watched all the way by France international goalkeeper, Penomanian. It's a nice layoff from Locchetti to set up the chance. Pedersen. Lefebvre. Good movement here from Severini. It's Virobecchietti. Oh, first time over the top. She had a bit more time, maybe, to work with. Valentina Bergamaschi is getting ready to come on for Juventus. Valentina. Getting ready to up the tempo if they can. Sneller's turn this time. Well read by Rosuki. There's Van Gaat. Stolengado running ahead of her. Ferrante, though, claiming the ball. Severini. Here's Sneller. Lines up the shot. Oh, not a bad one either. Very close to the goal that Fiorentina were looking for. I think we'll see Pauline Penomanian making a really good save onto the post in this replay. Top keeping. Kitena. Severini. Oh, that was bouncing. And there still might be a chance for Kitena here. Sneller. And a pass for Bredgaard. Three minutes to play. Fiorentina in need of two goals to force extra time. De la Peruta. Couldn't find Kitena. And there's Cantore. Lehmann. Breaking forward with her. Cantore switching it out towards Bennison. And Juventus not committing too many players forward in this attack. Bennison's done really well. Now it's Lehmann. Bergamaschi. Over the top. That's Fer. Drives in the cross. Kulber. That's it as far as Emma Sneller. And another strike from her. Off target. Well, that should be that. All eyes on the referee. Juventus progress to the Coppa Italia final. 3-2 up from the first leg. They win the second by one goal to nil. They started with the right attitude. And they got a good goal from Emma Stoddard-Godot on debut. That came after 24 minutes. And in truth, Fiorentina never looked likely to come back. Away from home. A tough game for them. Sneller had a shot tipped onto the post with 15 to go. But Juve keeping the visitors at arm's length. And they will face Roma in May in the Coppa Italia decider. Juventus hoping to win the double this year in Italy. 10 points clear in the league. And now into the cup final as well.
