I have the Titan Quatro 4L. It's super nice and I feel a little weird putting a cover like this on a busted up KLR650, but it rains a lot in Panama and I wanted something 100% waterproof to keep it dry during big storms. Because it's the rainy season testing out the waterproofing of the cover was pretty easy. Keeping the camera dry while filming was the tough part, I actually zip tied a big umbrella to my tripod, but the wind started blowing so hard and the rain was so powerful it actually turned the umbrella inside out. I felt like I was in a cartoon being blown away by a storm. I had a lot of fun making this video and playing in the rain. Both my wife and the neighbors were peaking out their windows at the crazy gringo jumping in the puddles. The motorcycle cover did much better than my umbrella. The few drops of rain that were on the bike are because it had started to sprinkle before I could get the cover on. But for the massive rain it went through I have no problem certifying this, "Panama rainy season waterproof approved." For those of you with fancy bikes the cover does have an inner layer of fleece so it won't scratch your paint job, and it also comes with a free mesh bag to store it in when it's time to ride.
Today I'm going to be reviewing the Titan Quattro 4L from Empire Covers.
This is a waterproof cover.
I got it because it rains here so much in Panama that I thought it would be nice to
be able to cover the bike up.
I'm kind of superstitious when it comes to motorcycles and I feel like if you take care
of your bike, it'll take care of you.
I mean, take it out and ride it and knock it around as much as you need to, but at the
end of the day, be nice to it.
Every time I've put the cover on so far, I've started it out the wrong way.
So one thing that I wish that this did have was a sign in the front that said, hey dummy,
this way forward, or something of that nature.
My main reason for buying the cover, like I said, was to protect the bike from water.
And since I'm in Panama, and it's the rainy season, it happens to be a very good time
to test out whether it's really 100% waterproof or not.
Before it gets dark, I'm going to take a peek under here and see if things are still dry.
But I have a confession to make.
I wasn't home when it started raining.
And despite breaking every trap god known to man, I didn't need the cover on the bike
before it got a little wet.
But, um, I'm just going to check anyway.
There's a few drops there, but like I said, I wasn't home when it started raining.
You saw how hard it was raining.
If this thing leaked, I mean, it feels dry.
It feels dry to me under here, this part of the cover.
Had this thing leaked, it would be absolutely soaked, obviously.
I would say that the Titan passed the rain test with flying colors.
