About Rob The Ranger Wildlife Videos: The purpose of the channel is to show what it is like to experience seeing wild animals on an African safari. Nature Documentaries are often highly edited to tell a story, wildlife safaris are not, and the idea here is to show the wildlife sightings the way they were seen. Safari tours in Africa are generally suitable for all ages and this channel can be considered an educational channel about incredible nature, some scenes in the nature videos may be more graphic than people are used to but this is the reality of nature and is what you would see if you were present on such a safari in person. Safaris in Kenya, South Africa, or any other African country are an unrivalled experience for anyone with a passion for nature, wildlife photography, and travel. Hopefully the animal videos on this channel can provide a glimpse into what the nature experience is like and encourage more people to take a wildlife safari one day. Good afternoon sir.
Good afternoon.
Thank you very much.
Where are you going with all this?
A penny and a pint?
He would have preferred one of those big males, or the warthogs that he was chasing earlier.
Unfortunately with all the monkeys acting as security guards in the camp,
they all gave away his presence when he was walking towards the Nyalas earlier.
They have a certain call, right?
His ears are really crushing on bone.
He's chewing up the leg there.
He's not really paying much attention to us yet, when we walked here.
We'll see when he's eating there.
This is the side of his mouth to cut through the bone and the sinew and the meat.
And then the front teeth, they're canines for ripping pieces off that he can put in his mouth to actually swallow.
And the teeth at the side, instead of having flat molars like we do, and the herbivores do,
they've got a set of very sharp teeth at the sides.
They're not called molars, they're called carnassials.
And they act like a set of scissors to cut through everything, rubbing against one another,
keeping themselves sharp.
Fairly new baby, actually.
Yeah, he's got long legs.
I need that.
He's basically gone and eaten the whole back half already.
Yeah, I think, well, depending on how hungry he was to start with, I think he was fairly hungry.
From the back forwards, I'm sure he won't leave any of this behind.
He's trying to take out the innards now.
It's such a small antelope, there's not going to be a lot of solids in the stomach there.
It is the stomach he's got now.
He'll do the same, he'll eat it from one end and hope it pops out the other end.
Seems to be working.
Like squeezing sausage meat out of its casing, really.
Into the task of eating the meat itself.
Three metres across and two metres down.
Drinking the blood again now.
Chomping through the ribs slightly, not there.
Sniff.
Almost two birds have gone now in the time we've been here.
Incredibly quick.
Yeah, he will.
He'll just go further into the shade and sleep when he's done.
He's not going to have to worry about keeping it away from hyenas or anything like that.
There's going to be nothing left.
It takes time for the birds of prey to see it.
And because he is so low down now, it's going to be harder for them to notice.
Because they don't only watch for the kill, they watch for other animals' behaviour.
So nothing else, apart from us, has seen it either.
Lucky for him.
Sniff.
Almost at the head already.
Sniff.
But that's all you, bro.
Yeah, I don't think so.
You don't have any more water.
I think really, really sick of these guys.
Yeah, they're leaving it all down.
Yeah.
Okay.
Someone coming to follow up here.
Let's go find a driver upstairs.
Okay.
Huh?
Another one.
So, another nyala barking there.
It's obviously not barking at this guy.
We had tracks this morning of a female coming this way as well.
Maybe there's another leopard out here.
Yeah, we've done it, haven't we?
Oh, lovely.
Bit of bone stuck in the throat there or something?
Hmm?
Where is it?
Oh, still going back for more.
That's good, too.
It is now totally finished.
Sim done.
There's really nothing there, boy.
He will.
He'll probably go and lie up and groom himself now.
Clean all the blood off his whiskers.
Make sure his paws are clean.
Here we go.
There we go.
Clean his whiskers.
Droplets of blood.
So.
Turn it out.
There we go.
Any case?
Huh?
It's going to sit there.
I don't think so.
No.
