Do you know what that is Logan?
Isn't it like a Hot Wheels?
You're right!
You'd trade me your hamburger for only 20 Hot Wheels?
There's only 20 Hot Wheels
Twin Bills.
You'd rather keep your burger than that?
Trade it!
I can probably buy you like a thousand hamburgers.
Yeah, probably.
How about just for a bite?
Dennis loves the best bite.
You already bit out of it!
Day one, Barrett-Jackson in Arizona.
We've got
Prashant Patel here, Sean P, and Mr. Dave Hall.
I feel dizzy!
We're going to roll over to RM
which is at the Biltmore.
Check that out real quick.
Then we're going to head to Barrett and watch Richard sell
two of his most expensive trucks he's ever built.
So grab your cup of joe and let's go.
The main reason we came over to RM today
was to see the Gunther Works Porsche
which is Prashant Patel's cousin.
He knows everything about that car.
I didn't read the auction catalog
and I'm surprised to see this here.
This is our old 1981 Corniche that we had
with 2,953 miles
that the top has never been put down.
I believe it's the best example in the world.
We sold this car on Bring a Trailer
probably a year or two ago.
Let's see how it does here.
We know what it did there.
Great to see it.
I hate to name drop, but this car was in his garage
at the last dinner party I was at.
What do you know about it?
Well, it's a 1995.
It's basically brand new in the wrapper.
21 miles on it.
Gunther Works.
All carbon.
I think the car speaks for itself.
You actually drove this, didn't you?
Yes, I did.
How was it?
Amazing.
A little bit nerve-wracking, but definitely amazing.
I thought this was one of the cars
that was not going to leave your cousin's collection.
What happened?
Well, everything's for sale, right?
I guess so.
Tell us about the wheels real quick.
Not only are they carbon fiber, but they are...
These are full carbon barrel rims,
as you can see.
Now, on the Gunther Works,
the front wheels and tire setups
are the widest of any car that they make.
If you look at the front over here...
You can read that, Dennis?
You'll never see that on a front tire.
Look at the width.
So we've got extreme contact sports.
A 295-30 on the front.
Wow!
295-30-18 on the front.
You rarely even see that
on the rear of a Porsche.
That's right. It's a super wide front.
What a beautiful car.
So this is why we're here,
but I'll tell you what.
I was pleasantly surprised to see our old Corniche.
What a fantastic car.
So one of the biggest things in that car, Dave,
when we sold it on Bring a Trainer,
was I refused to put the top down.
Because it had never been put down.
Everybody was asking.
It was a crazy amount of comments.
But at the end of the day, I stuck to my guns.
Why would you put a top down on a car
that the top's never been put down?
Because you'd probably have a problem.
No, it actually worked.
We did unlatch it and hit the buttons.
That was not it.
I had a guy from Rolls-Royce
come to inspect the car.
On a Jeep Wrangler, you can tell
if a top's ever been off or not.
So for warranty purposes, he's like,
this top's never been put down.
I said, how do you know that?
Because only I or a tech would know that.
Don't put it down.
But if you walk over there and look at that top,
it's just crazy amazing.
This is incredibly cool, Pete.
So what is your guesstimate on it?
I think you should bring in the seven figures.
A little above a million.
A million and one.
Can you get one now?
It's a long waiting list, from what I understand.
So how much is a new one, if you were to get one?
In the $700,000 range.
Okay.
But the added value's generally
what, a half million over sticker on those?
Stud car. Do you remember what the color is?
I don't remember the exact color.
Really neat color. Carbon fiber everywhere.
Man, I am hungry today, and I don't want any stress
in my meal, so I'm going to go for my factor.
Boom, and right off the bat,
queso fundido and ground beef with cilantro
cauliflower, rice, and roasted peppers.
Seems like the first part of the year is always very stressful.
We're in our first quarter,
especially in the car business.
Last thing you need is stress.
So I have kept the weight off for well over a year
in the factor. Of course, I went down to two meals a day.
That helps a lot, but again,
no prep, no mess. Dietitian approved.
Always fresh, never frozen.
Only takes two minutes.
Head to factor75.com or click the link below
and use code 50COFFEEWALK
to get 50% off, plus free
shipping on your first factor box.
That's code 50COFFEEWALK
at factor75.com to get 50%
off, plus free shipping
on your first box.
In anticipation, just waiting for it to cool down
a second kills me.
Ground beef and queso.
I actually like to
mix these two together.
And we stay crazy busy
around here. I only have to wait two minutes for this.
Maybe another minute for it to cool down.
I generally don't wait for it to cool down. I just burn my mouth.
So I want to get back
to doing what I was doing.
And it's cold outside too. This is
great.
Back in the day, my mom would call
this a clean plate clubber.
Two minutes to make it. Two minutes to eat it.
Back to work.
We've got Sandy here from
Sunbelt who's been telling me about
some very elusive
early 1965
Shelby paperwork. Who oddly
enough, I've had three different people pitch
to me, but they didn't own it.
It looks like he does.
Let's see it.
It's not even paperwork.
It's some sort of vinyl.
This is the worst way to
display this.
We can put it on the hood after they pull it out.
We could do that.
On the internet,
there is an image
that is within 10 to 15
seconds of one of these images
that claims to be the very first picture
of the Shelby GT
cars.
I can't prove
one way or the other.
This one is earlier.
The other one is earlier by 30 seconds.
It is in the same family of pictures
that now belong to either
the Shelby Registry or
Road & Track.
We haven't done
all the research, but it is significant.
When you see it for real,
in 1965,
halfway through the month of
March, they put out a magazine
that she has right there
that was a Mustang exclusive magazine.
Within that magazine,
it was the very first
ad for the GT350.
These are the
pictures that were taken for the very first
ad. The red X's
indicate some of the
images that were used in the actual
article, which was the first article
to promote the GT350.
These are the...
The actual negatives.
These are the actual negatives.
In this particular one, they were displaying
what they were doing to the cylinder heads.
Every one of these has the negatives
attached to it, so when you're building
a magazine, you would do one of these
sheets, for example.
This is the driving sequence.
I cannot prove that this
is Ken Miles' car,
but I cannot disprove it.
It's one of the mules, for sure.
In a California
mountain road somewhere.
So we're talking street cars, not R-Code
race cars. Well,
let's have a look at this.
This image
displays
the first
racing
cars that go into these cars.
I'm not the expert, you are.
Well, this would
have to be R-Code, not street cars
because they didn't do this work
to the street cars. They only did that to the R-Code
cars. So that's pretty easy to prove
that.
And here it is again
on the differential. So they have a lot of those
pictures that are differential
with that upper bar in it.
So do these have date codes on them somewhere?
Or is it just
on the negatives?
I don't know how you
decode them, but they gotta be early.
See, that's R-Code too. See the gauges?
Yeah, that's
the race car. So here's another
one with the other gauges.
Yeah, street car.
So the images we've been able to
sort of find online
that have any relevance to this,
this
image right here, we own
the image, we own
the negatives.
And they are a
different format. So they're a larger
see this square format? For some reason
in magazines they were shooting with two different cameras.
120?
Well, the negatives
usually have date codes, don't they?
You can look. I'll give you the other
one. You can dig into it.
This is so crazy. We're not doing this on a
nice table. We were wearing
white gloves when we bought them.
Not drinking beer
in some car.
Well, hopefully
we don't have to sit at a table and arm wrestle
for these things.
We think they need to go to
somebody who understands.
Well, I sure understand and appreciate
what you've got. This is the first
documentation of the Shelby
style. Let's look at this one see if it's got a date code.
Yeah, take that one.
For sure.
It would be on the side
there, wouldn't it? Right here.
Two old guys with bad eyes.
I might need this.
There's date codes and time stamps on there.
For sure.
How about we meet you on the other side of the stage
so you can go across.
We're going to meet on the other side of the stage. We're going to go and help
root yourselves two trucks.
Take that. We'll meet you.
Is this something that I can own?
Yes. We just don't know.
To be continued.
Early on, you guys had
the paperwork, which is great. I'm glad y'all brought it here.
Were there ever a stack of posters
with this paperwork? Nothing.
We have this.
that's all we've got.
Can we look at it one more time?
To be ridiculously transparent,
we're huge fans.
My wife and I
have a YouTube channel
and it's on a small scale compared to yours.
We've built it up over the last
18 months and I've been telling
Sandy, you know that guy. You have his contact.
One day, I want to meet him.
We met you a year and a half ago.
You were the most gracious person to me
but you met us as just people
plugging in. This came up
and I said
if I'm going to get on this deal, I only want to
do it to meet you.
For me to speak as if I'm intelligent about
the content would mean that I
have studied it and understand
Shelby history.
I don't feel that I do and I think
in all of our
research, you understand it better than
anybody and if you don't understand it
enough, the ties
you have to it are much
stronger than we have.
I appreciate that.
If we had that image, I think we have
a $100,000 image.
But we don't.
There's one page of these
that's missing.
As far as we can gather,
Ford owns that one
page and they used it
in either Motor Trend
or Road Driver.
Car Driver.
It's probably Car Driver or Road Track.
This magazine is very important
so it's Road and Track.
It's Road and Track, clearly.
So this right here is definitely
for an R-Code race car motor
because they would have never done this for a production
Kei car motor.
That's really cool.
This weird little gauge cluster
is interesting.
We don't have that image, nor do we have
this one. But when you start looking
at them, this is an image
that belongs to us, this is an image
that belongs to us, this one is.
So it's convoluted
because as they were doing
the marketing for the car
and this is apparently the first
marketing for a GT350
or any Shelby Mustang.
Well that was a lot of money back
then. A dollar?
Wow.
So all the names that are in here
contain this. Not all of them.
That's the problem. Because I think Road and Track
ends up
skipping some. This is out in their
parking lot when they're disassembling cars
You need to magnify that
to really get a good picture of it.
You've got the image of it.
So this one clearly has a race bucket
seat in it and the gauges
that you were speaking of.
It's an R-Code car.
So the interesting ones to us
and again
our only ability is to go through the internet
and sort of research an image.
So I'm going to show you, or Theresa will
the very first image. Show us the very first image.
So we
basically found that
these pictures were the ones that we were
finding
just
on the internet. And it just says
that it was the prototype
during the
advertising of this photo shoot.
And these pictures all are
the exact same time
time lapse of when they did
these photos. So it looks like
the car that we're looking at in these pictures is
serial number 3.
They claim on the internet
the first photo of a Mustang GT350.
If you look at the reflection on the
windshield there, and you look at
the reflection on the windshield here
and you compare those
somewhere in this sequence
somebody took some of these
they're an odd sized picture
and odd sized negative
somebody took this out and claimed
that this was the very first photo of a Mustang.
These have been hidden for 50
to 60 years.
Where did you guys find them?
Can you divulge that?
I can't divulge the guy's name
but it's him here. So a gentleman
who inherits his dad's
legacy
the father ran VW
Trends magazine
so this is how the story goes.
Okay.
So Michael Summers
was my father.
Wow.
They opened up
his storage container and found
so we came across
a Von Dutch
like a crazy Von Dutch
it's a set of 160 drawings
we agreed to purchase that
in that
the gentleman said would you be interested
in some GT350 stuff?
Well my interest grew
exponentially because I was like
that's how I'm going to meet you.
I'm not kidding.
I'm honored that you guys
I am so humbled and honored that y'all
wouldn't even think that
I know what I'm looking at here
we don't know what we're looking at
so tell us
but just in context
if the internet says that that's the first picture
then we either have the sister
picture to it
or we have
all of the other pictures
Here's what I think we're looking at
I've only had a few minutes to look at this
I think we're looking at serial number 3 street car
and serial number 1 R code
Yes
That's pretty strong
I feel that this is serial number 1 R code
I do too
and I would like to show you that picture
and they didn't tell me that
because when it comes up on the internet
that's a very interesting one
so where it comes up on the internet
this car
is definitely
from the same camera in the same sequence
and if you can tell me
that isn't the car a split second later
in that corner in the same space
then I don't know what to tell you
I agree
and then the next one
if you go through these pictures right here
this picture
that car is a split second later
so if you're a photographer in that moment
taking pictures of that R code car
to do the promotion for Shelby
you are click click click click click
we have found
the other images that are a couple before it
we don't know who owns them
we believe
oh here it is again
so this one is
one split second before
if you look at the nose of the car
versus those two posts
but we own the negatives
we have permission to use them
to make posters
I don't even know
I don't think anymore with the internet
that there's that much value in that
I think it's fantastic that you've proven you own it
and she said that earlier today
and I said I think it's the opposite because AI does whatever it does
well things have changed
this is actually something that's for real
and I don't know that 20 years from now
no I'm interested
I want to try to own it
from a bargaining standpoint
and it's not where I'm going with this
we're not really bargaining
I'm okay with the conversation
what do I have to do to own this
I don't even know
I just wanted to show it to you
become friends with you
I want to own it because I'm going to put a lot of time and effort into it
I'm not going to try to market
so my friend
that came up with this
and bought the Von Dutch collection
was very interested in the Von Dutch collection
when this came up I said I have to own this
to meet you
so
you're here
what his valuation on it is
is his valuation on it
I want half of that
I want him to have his half
I don't want anything from it
to be able to meet you
what does he value it at
I don't know
I'd like to get you back to my office and study it some more
I'd give it to you to do that
I want to own it
I know
I was just going to say turn the camera off
I don't know what I just did
but it's something cool
Dennis
I'm just happy to meet you
I'm humbled and honored
that you guys are here and brought this stuff to me
but it wasn't cheap
but it might be awesome
so Dave and I
are going to go show this to Aaron Shelby
and see what he thinks
so what I believe
this is
is R code serial number 1
phonograph archives
and the negatives
and serial number 3
prototype
and the Brock H. Daytona
at the factory
with the negatives
that's pretty cool
I think so
thanks for everything you do for us
we appreciate it
I've not seen this stuff before
this is cool
so you've never seen this
no
you know who would love to see this
if we got time is Peter Brock
he was there building this car
his car is in here
it's Daytona
I don't remember which one
marketing shots
on the street
that is cool
how did you track this thing down
a coffee walk viewer brought it to me
do you have that
I don't have that issue
I don't either
it's one of the only ones I don't have
and I've never seen
that is nice
Kevin doesn't even have that one
I have all the car lights
but not this special issue
that's almost impossible
that I have something that Kevin doesn't
have
that's what I was thinking
alright so one of the traditions that Richard
and I have had here over the years is at the Valley
before we head to Barry Jackson
we float a dollar
what about five dollars
that's what we're going to do
is that five times the luck
for the twin mill
alright
you feeling lucky today
I'm feeling lucky today
alright so was this a good idea
or a bad idea
this was a damn good idea
it's just we had to go so far to get it
and then we had to put a little gas monkey on it
get it going like it's supposed to go
but now it freaking goes
we spun it
let's see if we're going to win it
this thing is freaking bullet proof now
it's a lot of fun
I had this hot wheel when I was a kid
I don't know if you did
because you're way older than me
I've not been a kid back then when I was a kid
you were probably already an adult
way older like 10%
you got more gray hair than I have
I know I know but I color mine too
maybe I color gray to make me look more distinguished
but seriously though
this was a kick ass car
it was fun to button up a couple things on it
the guys loved it in the shop
I loved having it I wish I could have kept it
people were coming by the shop just to see this
and then they go over and buy a shirt or something
you know me I'm a marketer
this is a marketing piece
actually it's been cool to see people walk by and see it here
it's kind of like the shock and awe
you got the Hoonitruck and the twin mill
and the Batmobile
what a cool lineup
hopefully this is about 5 million dollars worth of cars right here
I hope so too
and we talked about it twice on camera
it's really hard to see this paint
but you can actually see it under the light
you can see all the metaflake
and the ruby red
so all this ruby is actually in the clear not in the paint
really cool
no risk no reward let's go sell it
what is this?
twin mill
outstanding
are you all going to collect them in the package
or are you going to play with them
good choice
you sure?
ok
you guys are going to get the most expensive ones then
what do you guys think?
there you go
thanks for being here guys
got the young car crowd here
at Bear Jackson
right Kels?
do you know what that is Logan?
isn't it like a Hot Wheels?
you're right
you'd trade me your hamburger for only 20 Hot Wheels
there's only 20 Hot Wheels twin mill
you'd rather keep your burger than that?
trade it
I can probably buy you like a thousand hamburgers
yeah probably
how about just for a bite
Dennis loves the best bite
you already bit out of it
there's only 20 of these buddy
Kels
thank you
thank you so much
how many do we have left?
so we started with 20 of these
and there's only 20
what's your name and where are you from?
I'm Gage and I was born in Michigan
but I'm from Oakland
okay
and what is this car?
the twin mill
alright but you get one of only 20 made
can I have one for my brother too?
what's your brother's name?
Brock
how old's Brock?
he's 10
so he's older than you?
well I'll tell you what
since he was not here
he's going to get the handy one
not the real one
and you can always tell your brother you got the good one
one of 20
see you found him
thanks for coming in sir
Brock I just messed up your book
alright
so Gage was here but his brother was not
so you got the real hot wheels
and you got the candy one
and you did this drawing?
so Richard and I only had 20 of these
now you get the candy one
and you get the last real
twin mill hot wheels ever
look at that
put it to auction when we get done with this
it'll bring more money
I think that's pretty good
you guys have been trying to be true
and throughout the TV
and all of that
we've had a great time together
and you bring us some incredible
unique automobiles
so as the car guy
I think everybody started with the hot wheels
did we not?
yes or no?
yes we did
and one of the coolest ever
there are two twin mills
this one runs and drives
the actual designer
from hot wheels
I would go for a pit in this car
and Tommy DeFranco
aka Tommy Twin Mill
who's built more twin mill cars
than anybody that I know of
completed the car
this is 4,000 hours
and today one of the cool things we did
we had 20 of these
we gave away to the top kids
we need you here
and we need you in the industry
and when this car shows up
it also comes with a trailer
and the trailer is designed
to set up exactly like a hot wheels box
so when it's in it
you can see it on both sides
incredibly cool
you've got something crazy in your collection
or in your museum
or cars for coffee
we've actually driven this car
it is amazing
alright let's go
so far you are paying for the trailer
yes
so the motors in this car
were built by big gals toybox
and everybody out here
knows who big gals toybox is
they are some of the most famous motors in the world
balanced blueprinted
to be almost exactly the same horsepower
you look at the numbers on the back
these are matching motors
in today's realm it's not a big deal
thousand horsepower
they start, they run, every time
incredible car
so far you guys buy the trailer
and remember
the trailer fills in 5
start it up
go
well
no risk no reward
it's always fun
check out this jacket
my jacket is cool
you know what dad
we get to do what we love together
so without a doubt
the best buy of the day was the cheeseburger right
a thousand percent
well because
the reason this food is so good
in skybox
is because of his wife Carolyn
tomahawk ribeye
with the quiche
yes
with the quiche and garlic potatoes
you know what I am going to do right
you are going to put them all together
yep
oh I like that one
best buy
ready you want it
no I don't want it
so that's my
lovely awesome daughter
it's her show
see you all next week
as always please like share
follow and most importantly subscribe to our
youtube channel see you next week
