Good morning friends, welcome back to my channel or welcome to my channel if you're
new.
Hi, my name is Kiara.
I'm happy you're here.
Today we're going to be doing a Sunday reset video.
So a end of the week reset to clean our space and just physically, mentally prepare ourselves
for the upcoming week.
I feel like a clean space, a clean apartment goes a long way and it's also a way that I
like to just de-stress and put some care into myself and my home.
It is March 2nd, it's also the start of the month so this is also kind of like a monthly
reset and I consider the start of March the start of spring.
After we do our cleaning, I'm also going to sprinkle some spring vibes in the apartment.
So we have a lot to get through today, I have my to-do list here so I'm just going to jot
down everything I need to get through today and I'll just check things off as I go along.
For me, it just makes me feel more organized, it makes me feel like I'm being efficient
and it's a visual way to see tasks that I'm doing is getting completed.
So the plan for today, we are going to deep clean the apartment, we need to do laundry,
need to get our groceries for the week, also make my green juices for the week, which I'll
be getting the ingredients for that when we go grocery shopping.
Next up on the to-do list is to go to my manicure appointment.
My nails that I got for Valentine's Day are super grown out now, it'll feel really nice
to get a fresh new set for spring.
These are the big things on my to-do list that I need to get done today, so I'm going
to prioritize all of these and then I'll be putting things on my calendar for events and
routine things that I need to be doing this week, so I will show you guys kind of how
I do that later today.
music through my speaker or I will listen to a podcast, and I just remembered I started
a podcast yesterday and I didn't get to finish it.
I'm going to finish that right now while I finish up with the kitchen, but I've been
listening to Mel Robbins for the past year, year and a half I'd say.
She's just my go-to person for anything like self-help, self-improvement related.
The podcast that I'm listening to right now actually is very fitting, it's the 7 Day Reset
for more time, energy, and happiness.
So I will be listening to this while I finish up cleaning and that way we are double productive,
so we are not only cleaning, but we're also learning, so that's a hack if you want to
be efficient with time.
I just finished up cleaning the kitchen and I feel like that's always the longest part
of my cleaning ritual, so glad that that is taken care of and out of the way.
Now it is time to deep clean the bathroom and this is definitely my least favorite part.
I'm going to get this out of the way and run a laundry load at the same time.
I just got these cute little spring towels from the Target dollar section, so I'm going
to wash them and then hang them up so we have some nice color in the kitchen for spring.
stick against my sink and then it has this texture that allows me to just clean my brushes
against.
So all I use is just this mat, some clean unscented soap.
The beauty blender is now clean, it looks basically brand new, so all of that really
took like less than five minutes, so that was super quick.
Two hours later and the manicure is finally complete.
I got acrylic fills and this pretty butter yellow color for spring.
The color that I got, if you're curious, was the Obi-Wan Chick Chick and on the middle
ring fingers, I got these little pink and yellow flowers, so.
We are back from Trader Joe's and now it's time to do a fun little grocery haul of the
things that I got.
So during my Sunday resets, another thing that I like to do is plan out the meals that
I'm going to be making for the entire week.
That way everything is already taken care of, I don't have to spend any time during
the week when I'm already super busy on figuring out what I'm going to cook and then running
to the grocery store to pick up some things that I may have forgotten.
First for the meats that I picked up that I will be cooking this week, I got chicken
thighs.
This is for my lemon chicken orzo dish that I'll be making this week.
I believe I made that in one of my previous videos, but it is one of my favorites like
comfort meals to make at home and it is delicious.
Next, I got chicken breasts.
I will be making cilantro lime chicken this week, so this is for that.
And then for my last main meat, I got New York strip steak.
This is my favorite steak cut.
I prefer this over ribeye, ribeye in my opinion is just, it's too chewy.
I like how lean the steak is and how easy it is to cook, so I'll be making this this
week as well.
Also got maple chicken breakfast sausages.
Trader Joe's was out of eggs as I'm sure a lot of grocery stores are at this moment,
so I got some egg whites.
Also got a few restocks.
I got some pasta sauce.
I also restocked on almond milk.
I use almond milk for basically everything, my at home coffees, my overnight oats, and
basically just anything that calls for milk.
I prefer and love almond milk.
Restocked on spinach, which I use for a lot of recipes, but also for my protein smoothies.
Restocked on avocados for my avocado toast.
An essential for me that I cannot live without is my nonfat Greek yogurt.
I love to make Greek yogurt parfaits for an afternoon snack, but I also just use this
a lot in some of my recipes, like making banana bread, the cilantro lime chicken.
I use Greek yogurt in the sauce.
Bananas for my protein smoothie.
This is my current favorite coffee creamer, the Trader Joe's oats brown sugar creamer.
I like to use this when making my brown sugar almond milk lattes, and it is delicious.
I got more baby carrots for Denny.
He loves carrots.
I like to cut it up in little pieces and mix it with his kibble for his dinner.
I got rosemary, which I like to use for cooking steak.
Chicken broth for the lemon chicken orzo.
I got a few lemons and a couple of limes for the lemon chicken orzo and the cilantro lime chicken.
I also use one lemon when making my green juices, so I picked up on a few of those.
Cilantro and jalapenos for the cilantro lime chicken sauce.
One yellow onion.
And the last couple of things are my ingredients for making my green juice.
I picked up celery sticks, green apples, pineapple chunks, a cucumber.
I already have some ginger left over from last week, so I didn't need to get more ginger.
For my green juice, I use four green apples, one cucumber, five celery sticks,
one piece of ginger, one lemon, and then about a cup and a half of pineapple chunks.
Already washed all these ingredients, so now I'm going to chop it up and put it in this bowl.
Are you guys ready for this boost of dopamine?
No.
Your first time on my channel, this is Benny.
He's my little weenie dog.
Now that the apartment is entirely clean and put to sleep, ready for the new week,
I'm going to start my monthly weekly planning.
This is my acrylic calendar that I put on my fridge.
I mostly just use this for tracking like big events that I have that month,
so I'm going to wipe all this away and set it for March.
I think I'm tracking all of the big events that I have planned for the month so far,
so I'm going to go put this up on the fridge.
Now I'm going to start planning for my upcoming week.
For me, this just helps me be more productive during the week,
so going into each day, I already know essentially
the big events and activities that I need to do and get done.
So the way that I like to do this is I go into my calendar
and I actually have four different categories in my calendar.
I have one for routine, one for social plans,
one for me time, and then one for like YouTube.
Routine, that's for anything that I'm doing every week.
So my gym workouts, my LaGree classes,
I am booking those classes and time blocking them into my calendar.
For social plans, I will text my friends to either FaceTime,
go out to grab lunch, hang out, and I will time block that into my calendar as well.
For me time, that's essentially everything that I am booking to improve myself,
to have some dedicated me time, essentially.
That could be like getting my nails done, like what I did today.
For YouTube or another hobby that you are working on daily or weekly,
for example, for filming a video, editing the video,
posting the video, I will time block that in when I'm going to be working on each of those things.
Basically, just go in that order and I will start on Monday.
I'll start time booking things in, scheduling things,
putting in alerts, and I will repeat that same process for each day.
Something that I like to do while I am doing this is to go over my 2025 goals
that I wrote out at the beginning of the year.
Just going over my fitness, health, financial, career, travel goals,
and reflecting where I'm at with each of those
and seeing if there's something that I can do to get ahead or prioritize
something that I had written down here into my week.
This isn't something that I do every week,
but since it is the start of a new month and start of a new season,
we're almost a quarter of the way through of 2025.
I think it'd be a good idea to reflect and see where I'm at with my 2025 resolutions.
I just finished time blocking everything into my week.
Something comes up, if something changes,
I can always just move things around or change the time if needed,
but this provides at least a good idea and baseline of how I want the week to go
and how I am entering Monday with the things that I have already planned out.
Now it is time for my everything shower.
I'm going to shave, exfoliate, wash my hair, double cleanse,
put on a hair conditioning mask, do all the things,
and then I will spend a few minutes journaling
and spend a few minutes reading my book before I go to bed.
Thank you guys for joining me in today's video.
I hope you liked it.
It was a very productive day.
We got a lot done and now I just feel ready to get into bed,
get some good sleep, and wake up tomorrow and tackle the week ahead.
I am happy that we made it through winter and we are entering spring,
entering a new season where we can continue to better ourselves,
get after our goals, and just continue this growth journey that we are on.
But yeah, if you enjoyed today's video, don't forget to give a like,
subscribe if you're not already, and I will see you in the next vlog.
