We'll discuss this topic and others, in this episode of Crossroads.
The coordinated attacks being launched on Tesla are now being defined as acts of terrorism.
This began with organized protests at Tesla dealerships and then expanded to dozens of
locations all across the U.S. and then began escalating into threats of violence, then
to arson, and to other actions targeting Tesla as a way of retaliating against Elon Musk
for his role in the Trump administration.
Elon Musk then went public and he alleged the attacks are being coordinated by a group
of far-left organizations and some major left-wing figures.
And now the Trump administration is saying the attacks represent a form of domestic terrorism.
And that we could even see some criminal charges on this.
Some say they should be labeled domestic terrorists.
I will do that.
I'll do it.
I'm going to stop them.
We catch anybody doing it.
Now in terms of who is behind the attacks, we may get some answers soon.
Trump stated that it's the same people that quote screw around with our schools and universities.
And now the House DOJ committee has also issued a letter calling on the Department of Justice
and the FBI to investigate.
But in terms of whether the attacks are terrorism, the definition here is important.
Terrorism is technically defined as using violence to achieve a political goal.
And technically if someone is using violence, arson, threats against people as a way to
discourage them from using Tesla cars, but the broader intent is to harm someone politically,
which is what they're doing, then you could argue it is terrorism.
After all, that's the definition.
It seems his attacks are meant to work as a type of intimidation.
And people may not want to drive a Tesla or Cybertruck if they think some crazy person
is going to threaten them for it or vandalize their car.
And so this is an act to discourage people to not do something with the intent of using
fear to create a political outcome, which technically is terrorism.
