now, here is your host and teacher, Perry Stone. Then spake Jesus to the multitude
and to his disciples, saying, The scribes and Pharisees sit in Moses' seat. In
Exodus chapter 18, verse 3, and also 18, 13, Moses sat to judge the people by the
law to make known the law of God to them. Again, Exodus chapter 18, verse 13. So the
Pharisees were sitting in judgment, judging people. They judged people
concerning their outward appearance, all these other things. So Moses' seat was
where the rabbi sat during the reading of the law and the prophets. It was also
a seat in the synagogue where a special guest could come. And if he was an
honored guest, he would sit in that seat. Now, the Bible says in Luke chapter 430
that when Jesus went to the synagogue that he sat and taught them. And there's
actually a stone seat in the synagogue of Chorazin, which has been
excavated a few years ago. And there is the seat of Moses in that particular
synagogue. And so that's the actual one. Of course, that is where the guest
would have sat teaching. And we read John chapter 8, verse 2, where this happened.
And let me read this verse to you. It says, and early in the morning he, this is
speaking of Jesus, came to the temple and all the people came to him and he sat
and taught them. So we stand and preach behind a pulpit, but back in that day it
was very common for the speaker to sit and teach the people. And so again, we
have an understanding of that time. And so having understanding of the early
days will help us to understand the coming of Jesus and the parables that he
used related to his coming. Now, what I would like to do is I would like to
share with you that at the time of the end, and we're going to get
into the prophetic part of this right now, but at the time of the end there is
a separation coming. There's a separation coming and it happens at the end of the
age. Now the Bible tells us that the harvest is the end of the age. So what I
want to show you to begin with, as we talk about now the return of the Lord, is
in the parables I want to give you the the separation. And there are five
different separations mentioned. We're going to begin with Matthew 13 and verse
30. In Matthew 13 30, there's a separation of the wheat from the tare. And that
represents the children of the kingdom being the tare. I'm sorry, the children of
Satan being the tare. And the wheat being the children of God. And there's
going to be a separation between those two. In Matthew 25 and 33, there's a
separation of the sheep from the goat. And the sheep are believers and the
goats are the hypocrites. And there'll be a separation of them. In Matthew 25 14
through 30, there is the three servants. Two are profitable servants. One is not a
profitable servant. And so in that particular parable, you have the
profitable servants that are obedient and they're going to be rewarded. And
then you have the unprofitable servants who are not going to be rewarded. In
Matthew 25 verse 2, you have five wise virgins and you have five foolish
virgins. The wise are those that are prepared to go into the wedding. And the
foolish are unprepared to go into the wedding. In Matthew chapter 13 and verse
48, you have the good fish and you have the bad fish. And again, the good are the
children of the kingdom and the bad are those who are unrighteous. Now, so in the
parables you have at the end of the age, these five separations. Now what I want
to do is I want to show you where these five different separations occur. And
we're going to give you the scripture reference, what separates, and we're going
to give you the time frame of which it separates. And here we go right now. In
Matthew 13, there's the separation of the wheat and the tare. The Bible says it
happens at the end of the age. And in Matthew chapter 13 and verse 39, that
means the end of the age at the return of the Lord. In Matthew 25, you have the
separation of the sheep and the goat. And that happens at a judgment in the
kingdom, Matthew 25, 31 through 32. And that's that believes to happen on earth
in the Kidron Valley where he separates the sheep from the goat. Matthew 25, you
have the separation of the five wise and the five foolish virgins. And that's
going to happen at the return of the Lord. In Matthew 25 and verse 10, when
Jesus comes, the five wise go with him. The five unwise are shut out of the
wedding supper. In Matthew 13, you have the separation of the good and the bad
fish. And this will be the separation of the nations that are alluded to in
Matthew chapter 13 and verse 49. In Matthew 25, you have the story of the
profitable servants and the separation of the unprofitable servant from those
who are profitable, meaning those who did the work of God and did what was right
and this happens at a heavenly judgment in Matthew chapter 25 and verse 29. Now, I
want you to notice something that in these parables, in each of these parables
of the wheat and the tare, the sheep and the goat, the ten virgins, the
good and the bad fish, the profitable and unprofitable servants, these are all
parables that relate to the return of the Lord or return to or relate to his
kingdom at the end of days. Now, when you look at three of these, I want you to
notice something. The separation of the wheat and the tares in Matthew 13, it's
God that has to send angels to cause the separation. In the separation of the good
fish from the bad, that's in Matthew 13, 47 through 49. Notice again, angels are
separating the wicked from the righteous. In the third separation parable, the
separation of the sheep and the goat, Matthew 13, 32 through 34, the sheep
enter the kingdom but the goats go into everlasting punishment. Now, I want you to
notice a couple things and that is this, that all of these, it appears at
least when you read the parables, that angels are involved in some of this
end-time separation. God sends angels to do the separating and that's of course
in the four Gospels as well in different references. And I want you to
notice also that at this separation, this occurs at the end of the age, Matthew
13, 39. Now, in the King James translation, sometimes it will say the
end of the world but there's not really an end of the world as we know it. It is
better translated because there's three main Greek words used in the New
Testament for the word world in the English Bible and you have to look at
the Greek word to see what it represents. So those words, the harvest will come at
the end of the world, actually is translated better, the harvest will come
at the end of the age. The age being when the age of man's government ends
and the age of the Messiah's government begins. So this is very, very, very
important. Now, what I want to share with you as we look at these parables and
we look at the return of the Lord, we look at what the Bible has to say about
the return of the Lord and all the separation that has to happen, there has
to come a point at some time when the righteous are removed from the
unrighteous. There also has to come a time, according to Scripture, when the
Lord returns, when the church has to be separated from the world. The church has
to be separated out of the wrath of God because God has not appointed us to
wrath. Now that time of separation, one of the English words that is chosen for
that is the rapture. The Bible calls it the gathering together. Paul calls it the
catching away and so there's different words that can be used. Rapture is
basically the separation from the faithful and the unfaithful, the
separation of the faithful from the unfaithful. So we need to point out what
the rapture actually is. All right, now the rapture, and I want you to
hear this very carefully, the rapture is a separation from those who are
overcomers and those who are non-overcomers, or let me say it this way,
those who are faithful from those who are not faithful. Now when Jesus
addressed the seven churches in the book of Revelation, two of those he commended
and bragged on and five of those he rebuked. Now I want you to notice in
Revelation chapters 2 and 3 that the church, one church is told that the Lord
will remove their candlestick in heaven if they do not repent, Revelation 2.15,
and do what is right. Then in Revelation 3.16 the church of Laodicea is told
that the Lord will spew them out of his mouth if they're not found faithful. Now
the interesting point about that is in Matthew 25 and 30 the unfaithful servant,
the unfaithful servant is separated into outer darkness from the faithful
servants who are serving the Lord. Now referring back to the parables again, in
the parable of the ten virgins, five are wise and five are foolish, so in Matthew
25 and 10 the five wise are allowed into the wedding and the five foolish are
not allowed into the wedding. Now any way we cut it, and I know there's all sorts
of doctrinal differences, there's once saved always saved, there's
conditional eternal security, unconditional eternal security, there's
the grace message, you got all these messages, but if you go to the parables
it's very clear that there are some people who are claiming to serve the
Lord that are not allowed in the kingdom and there are other people that are not
claiming to serve the Lord but are serving the Lord, are faithful, are
overcomers, and they're allowed to enter the kingdom. Now I don't want to get into
a big theological debate about this because I don't have time on this TV to
do that, but the point is that the rapture is a blessing to those who are
overcomers, the rapture is a blessing to those who are faithful, the rapture is to
separate the faithful from the unfaithful and so this is real important
because the question I want to pose to you is, is there just one
appearing of Jesus or is there two? In other words, is Jesus going to come back
just at post-trip and then he's coming back to set up the kingdom or is he
going to come at mid-trip and later come back with the Saints at post-trip? Is he
coming back pre-trip? We're not going to argue pre, mid, and post here, but the
point is when you read the Bible there are two appearings of the Lord. One is
for the Saints, the other he comes back with the Saints. One he comes in the
clouds, the other he steps foot on the earth. And people have pointed this out
for years that study the scripture that there's two separate
appearings of the Lord. One is for the overcoming Saints and for those who are
righteous and for those who are serving. Why does Jesus say seven times in the
book of Revelation, to him that overcometh, to him that overcometh, to him that
overcometh? Because there is blessings for people who are overcomers. There are
blessings for people who faithfully serve God, who faithfully do what is
right, who give, who witness, who do the work of God. And I believe in Malachi,
their book is written in the book of remembrance. There's the book of
Lamb's book of life, yes, but there's also the book of remembrance. And they
shall be mine, the Lord says, in that day when I make up my jewels, and I will
spare them as a father spares his son. And if you don't have my teaching, and
this is not a plug here, but I want to say this, if you don't have my teaching on
the book of remembrance, which is three, I think it's CDs that deal with the book
of remembrance, and you don't understand all of this parabolic stuff and
why are some left and why are some gone, I want to encourage you to get that
because it will explain that in about a three-hour teaching. All right, so the
rapture is a separation, the rapture is a separation to pay attention to this
for those who are overcomers and non-overcomers. Now watch this, the second
coming will separate those with and without the mark of the beast. The second
coming is a separation of those with or without the mark of the beast. Now
somehow, I don't know how this teaching has got out, but people think that
everybody's going to receive the mark of the beast. Well, if everybody accepted the
mark of the beast, then there'd be nobody to repopulate the earth in the
millennial reign because they all have to be separated when the
Lord returns. So you have the wheat and the tare that at the end of the
age, the angels come and separate the wheat from the tare, and in a literal
sense, the angels are going to come back with Christ in Matthew chapter 24, and
the tare would be those who have the mark, who are not allowed to go in the
kingdom, but those who were beheaded for the testimony of Jesus Christ to be
resurrected at the end of the tribulation, and they're going to rule
and reign with Christ a thousand years based on Revelation chapter 20. So in the
separation of the wheat and the tare, it appears to happen in the Valley of
Jehoshaphat, Joel chapter 3 and verse 2. And so if that separation, Jesus will
separate everybody that has the mark, and they'll be taken away, and the Bible
talks about cast into the burning fire. If the tare is cast into the burning fire, that
would be actually hell. They'll be taken away and separated, and those who did not
take the mark are allowed to rule and reign with Christ. Of course, if they have
a natural body, they will die in the millennial reign at some point, and
they'll have to be resurrected at the end of the tribulation, and they will go
to the great white throne judgment in heaven. So the second coming parables, if
you've noticed this, and this is real important that you understand this
because I want to go back to a moment, that in the parables, it talks
about stewardship, faithfulness, and obedience until the end. So that's the
point of the second coming parables, is to tell people that you've got to be
obedient, you've got to serve God, and you've got to follow the Lord. Now if you
go back to one of the parables, which is the parable of the talents in Matthew
chapter 25, in this parable, and let's talk about some of the parables now,
but in this parable, the owner of this estate gave three different men
three different talents, okay? And I'll talk about talents in a moment, it's not
an ability to play the piano or sing, it's actually an amount of money, all
right? And so one man was given five talents, and one man was given two
talents, and one man was given one, and it tells us in the parable that when the
Lord returned, that he found out that the one that had five had gained five and
had a total of ten. The one that was given two, as the Lord was gone, when he
returned, he found the Lord found out that he had gained two, making a total of
yeah, he had two, let me see, he had two talents, and then he gained two, which was
a total of four, and then the one that had one talent never did anything with
his. He never did anything, he went and hid it in the earth. As a matter of fact,
Matthew 25 and verse 25 says this, and I was afraid and hid thy talent in the
earth, lo, there thou art hast that is thine, or there you have what is yours. So
he hid the talent. Now the talent was not plainly pianist, singer, songwriting. It
was then considered to be a certain amount of a sum of money. It
could be in gold, or it could be in silver. One Jewish talent was three
thousand shekels of the sanctuary in Exodus 30 and 13, which is about 114
pounds. One talent of gold today, and prices vary of course, would be worth
about $840,000. So the guy that had the one talent, it would be like giving him
let's say $800,000 and say, I want you to do something with this while I'm gone. So
he hides the money. He does absolutely nothing with the money, and he said, I was
afraid and hid that talent in the earth, and lo, you have what is yours. Now the
whole idea was to take what you have and invest it somehow to where it would
multiply. So here's what Jesus says in Matthew 25 and verse 27,
you should have put my money at the exchangers and gained interest for me.
Now I want to tell you a couple things about this parable. First of all,
the man who owned the estate was gone a long time. Then he came back to
give an account of his servants. Number two, the Lord gave that person what he
gave them to invest it for the kingdom. Now tithing is the 10th. God says,
give me 10th, but I'll let you keep the 90%. So there's nothing wrong with people,
they get homes, they get a car, you have to have a car to drive in,
they have to pay for their insurance, they got to pay for their kid's college,
and all of that. But the point is that this servant did absolutely nothing with
what the Lord gave him. And so when the Lord returned, he had just,
he hid everything and did nothing with the ability, the talent,
or the money that God gave him. So this is where I believe when Jesus said this
in Revelation 6, I'm sorry, chapter 3, verse 11, let no man take your crown.
I believe that this is what Jesus was referring to when he said,
let no man take your crown is that you are given certain things to steward over.
And if you steward over these things correctly and properly, God will bless you
and reward you not only in this life, but in the life to come for stewarding
over what he gives you properly. But if God blesses you and you don't steward
over it properly, and you don't help the poor, the needy, support the gospel,
help get the gospel out, witness, testify, and do what you should do for him,
then you will be held to an account on that day. And the thing that's a little
bit scary about the unprofitable servant is the Lord said,
cast him into outer darkness. So some scholars say that that meant he
went to hell, but other scholars today believe, prophetic scholars,
some of them, I should say, believe that he was allowed to go
through the tribulation. So the Lord came to give an account to reward his servants,
but this man was not ready to go. And so he's cast into the darkness
of the tribulation, has to go through the tribulation because he was not faithful
in what the Lord gave him. So let me just say this, and I hope that,
you know, people are not just reading into what I'm saying, but I do want to make
this clear, that God's blessings and rewards are given for faithfulness
and for work. You are saved by grace alone, but you are rewarded by works
that you do. That's clear from what Paul wrote in the New Testament.
So you have to understand, grace will get me into the kingdom,
but the rewards I have are going to be based on what I did with what God gave me.
And the Bible says that people's rewards, some will come out as gold, silver,
and precious stone, and others will stand before God, and their works will be tried
with fire, and it will come out as wood, hay, and stubble.
And those that come out with wood, hay, and stubble have no reward whatsoever.
So how can someone take my crown? Someone could take my crown if God
instructs me to do something, and I say, I'm not going to do that.
I'm not going to do that. I'm not going to preach. Forget it.
I'm not going to do it. So I'll take my life, I spend my life
serving myself, serving what I want to do, doing what I want to do,
building my own little thing, and then I die, and the person who took
my place, because God's not going to be, you know, unsettled, undone.
He'll go raise up somebody else to do it. And the person that took my place to do,
even in a local church, what I should have done, they will have my crown,
and they will have my reward. So that's how I interpret that verse
in Revelation 3, verse 11. Now, speaking of the return of the Lord,
let me show you something else that's very interesting.
In Matthew 8, verse 6, and we're going to be talking about some
things, some objects in just a moment that are very interesting.
Whosoever shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me,
it were better for him that a millstone be hanged around his neck,
and that he be drowned in the depths of the sea. Now, I want to show you something
in just a moment about a millstone. There were different types of millstones,
and they were actually a stone that revolved on a central axis.
And most of the ones in Jesus' day would have been smaller,
a pair of cylinder stones used in a mill or in a community to grind out the grain.
In other words, you put the wheat in there, and you grind it down,
and you make the grain for the bread, etc., from grinding it down.
Now, what I want to do is I want to show you, and there's a good picture
of a millstone, you can see how large they were. Let me show you something
that's very interesting. In fact, we're going to go over here.
We have this made, and this is actually what we call an olive press,
but I want to show you how this worked. This is made of stone.
If this was in Israel, it would be made of stone.
You cut a big round circle about eight inches deep, and this is the stone that's used.
And no, this is like big as a pole, and it would turn, and as it would turn,
it would roll over the olives, and the olive oil, it had a niche
and an opening in the bottom of the stone.
And as the olives are being pressed by the pressure of the stone,
the olive oil would then go into the niche, and they would have a place
where they would catch the olive oil. So this is what we're talking about.
So a big mill, they would put grain in there, and they would grind down that grain
into a very, very fine powder, and that's how they would bake the bread
or the different things that they would bake with that.
So a grinding, let's look at what we call a millstone,
and we're going to give you a prophetic verse related to the coming of the Lord.
Two shall be in the field. One shall be taken, the other left.
Two shall be grinding at the mill. One shall be taken, and the other left.
Watch therefore, for you know not the hour your Lord doth come.
Matthew 24, verses 40 through 42. Now, let me say this to you,
that first of all, it says here that people are working in the field.
We think in the West, everybody's got tech jobs or office jobs.
That is not true in third world countries. Most people in third world countries
work in the field, whether it's the rice paddies or whether it's the wheat field,
the grain fields, agriculture with goats and sheep.
You go to Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran. You go to the West Bank in Israel.
You go to Bethlehem in Israel. You still see people watching sheep
and goats the way they did 2,000 years ago, and some of them are Bedouins living in tents
the way they did 2,000 years ago. So one of the things also that critics
look at this verse and they say, well, that verse has to relate to something back in Jesus' day,
because nobody grinds at a mill today. That is not true as well.
This is done in many third world nations. And when I say third world nations,
third world countries, where they will take a large stone and they will grind the grain down.
And here's a picture of one where they are actually grinding wheat.
And it takes a human being, a person. And if it's a large one, it says two
shall be grinding. That's what they did in Jesus' day because these poles were very long
and two people would have to grind together. So let me just mention to you and say to you that
this is not impossible. People look at this. Well, that's an old verse that doesn't work today.
It does work today in third world countries and many countries in the mountains and
primitive areas, Africa, for example, Middle East, for example, in certain countries.

bring them in the house and let them watch this together and have discussions on it would be a
great thing to do. We're kicking back into some of our schedule, Evangelical World Prayer Center,
a big conference there, 15th through the 18th. That's Thursday night all the way through Sunday
evening at Biltown Road in Louisville, Kentucky. Now, folks, you've asked me to come back. I'm
depending on you being there and hanging out with us and hearing what God has to say. It's going to
be great. Then back to Texas at Family Faith Church at the Willis Campus there in Willis,
Texas, Friday night and two services, Saturday, the 13th and 14th of August. Then the 15th on
Sunday morning, Sunday evening, Family Faith Church Huntsville Campus. Jeff Hackleman, we love you and
your family. And I believe, knock on wood, Pam's going to be able to come finally and be with me.
I'm looking forward to that. And that's the plan. She's got to watch the grandbabies. You know how
that goes. So the Lord willing, that's August the 15th. And then Christ Temple Church, Friday,
Saturday and Sunday, August 27th to the 29th in Huntington, West Virginia. And then we will be
sharing with you, of course, later on some September and October meetings. Now, there is a
great ministry school in the United States. I call it the hidden gem of ministry schools,
and it's called Ramp in Hamilton, Alabama, directed by Karen Wheaton. And she has a team
of dynamic young men who are the greatest teachers of the word of God and of practical
Christian living I've ever heard in my life. I have been asked to teach at the Ramp School of
Ministry at their school, and I'll be going one week a month on average to Hamilton, Alabama,
to teach at the school. If you are a young person and you want to go to an excellent ministry school
in which you will know the word, you will know how to pray, you will know about the gifts of
the spirit, you will know about Bible prophecy, so many things they teach, it's incredible,
then you need to contact Karen Wheaton's ministry in Hamilton, Alabama, Ramp in Hamilton, and plan
on being there in the fall semester because I'm going to be down there with Pam, and we're going
to be teaching you as well at this great school. Thank you all so much for your time. God bless you.
