hi friends welcome back to our channel so today's video long skirt with collar top
so friends in today's video, how to design a double pleated skirt
and how to design a collar shirt with puff sleeves, let's see in this video
and if you are watching my channel for the first time, please subscribe
so if you want to design such a beautiful dress,
so
1.5 meters and lining half meter and skirt 4 meters
So, total skirt length is 36 inches, so I marked 34 inches here, so 2 inches will come to the belt
and these 2 inches should be kept for folding. So, I took 4 meters here for the skirt width
I gave double pleats to this skirt, that is, we have to double it like box pleats
So, we have to put the pleats in the width of 2 and a half inches, so we have to put the pleats like this for 4 meters
So, we have to stitch the pleats correctly
Now join these edges
So, I'm giving a side zip to this, so first we have to join it like this and then attach the zip to it
So, I'm not attaching the lining to this skirt, so if you want to join the lining, you will need 2 meters of lining
So, for this, we have to put the zip on the wrong side of the skirt
So, we have to put the zip on the wrong side like this and attach it, that is, we have to stitch the two sides first
So, for the zip stitched like this, we have to remove the middle stitch that we have already stitched
So, we have to attach the zip like this
So, now the skirt width is 15 inches, so we have to attach the waist belt to it
So, the waist belt length is 4 inches and 1 inch extra
And the width is 17 inches, that is, we have to take extra for the hook part
We have to join the waist belt like this
So, here we have to stitch extra for the hook part
So, the waist part is complete, so we have to stitch it neatly
So, now we have to fold the extra 2 inches at the bottom and stitch it
If you have a canvas, you can put a canvas in it and stitch it like this
If you stitch it like that, it will be even stiffer
So, the skirt is finished, so now let's look at the top
So, I'm cutting the main fabric for this shirt first
So, we have to cut the back part first
The shirt length should be 16 inches and 1 inch extra should be marked for folding
So, the body width should be 7 inches and 2 inches extra should be marked
Shoulder 6 inches and similarly, the armhole should be 6 inches
So, here I'm marking the armhole only half an inch
Neck width 3 inches
This is a collar shirt, so the neck length is 1 inch
So, 1 inch mark it like this
At the shoulder, mark it half an inch cross
So, here we have to mark 8 inches at the waist, so we have to take 1 inch cross like this
By marking it cross like this, we can see that the shirt is fit
So, we have to cut the back part like this
So, now we have to mark this back part on the front part
So, for the front part, we have to fold the buttons, so we have to mark 1 inch extra and cut it
Mark the front neck 3 inches
So, mark the front armhole half an inch inside and cut it
So, for the front part, we have to open the buttons like this
So, now we have to put this on the lining and cut the lining the same way
So, now let's see how to cut the sleeves
So, the sleeve length is 20 inches and the width is 8 and a half inches
So, in this sleeve length, we have to mark half which is 10 inches
So, we have to mark it at 3 inches like this and mark it like a normal sleeve
So, actual sleeves width is 6 inches, so we have to mark it at 6 inches
So, we have to shape the sleeves normally like this
So, the sleeves are 5 inches, so we have to mark it at 5 and a half inches
But I don't think I have cut it now
So, these are puff sleeves, so we have to mark it at 3 inches and shape it like this
We have to shape it down like this
So, we will get frills like this
So, now we have to take the back part and attach the lining like this
We have to attach the lining to the wrong side so that the right side is on top
So, the front part has buttons, so we have to cut the extra lining
So, we have to attach the lining to the right side
Because we will stitch this and reverse it
So, we have to reverse it like this and stitch it near the neck and armhole
Now, we have to join the shoulder
So, now we have to see how much the neck round is
So, the neck round is 15 inches
So, we have to cut it at 8 inches
And I have taken 18 inches for the length
So, we have to cut it like a collar
So, we have to mark both the sides at 1.5 inches
So, the actual size of this is 15 inches
So, we have to mark it like this and cut it
So, now we have to cut the canvas and join it
So, now we have to paste this canvas to this
If you press it like this, it will stick
So, by using the canvas like this, the collar will be stiff
So, now we have to stitch it crosswise and reverse it
Now, we have to join this collar to the neck like this
Now, we have to fold it like this and stitch it
So, we have to join the collar neatly like this
So, now we have to see how to join the sleeves
So, now we have to put small frills for the sleeves
So, we have to start these frills from here
So, we have to stitch the sleeves like this with frills
We have to cut the sleeves at the front armhole at 1.5 inches
So, now we have to join the sleeves to this body part like this
So, we have to mark 5 inches like this and cut the hand loose
Now, we have to take a piece of 6 inches length and join it to the elbow
So, now we have to join the two edges like this
So, now we have to fold it like this and stitch it
This dress is for 9 to 10 years girls
So, the shirt is almost ready
See, the back and front is very neat
So, this is also in perfect shape
So, the skirt frills are also very neat
So, by putting double pleats like this, the skirt will be more neat and it will look very good
So, we can put show buttons or normal buttons like this for the shirt
So, I just put show buttons for this
So, the dress is almost finished and the color combination is also very good
And we can put this shirt on top like this or we can also tuck it like this
So, we can design different dresses with simple fabric like this
So, we can easily design dresses with simple fabric like this to get a modern or traditional look
