Hey, friends! 💕 Today's video is a bit different from my regular content, since I wanted to share something personal and important. For the first time in my creative journey, I've been facing a creative slump—not from a lack of ideas, but from self-doubt that made me question the worth and impact of my art. I know these struggles exist only in my head, but they can feel overwhelming at times. And if you're dealing with similar challenges, know that you're not alone. We’re in this together, and if you need support or just to share your story with someone, I'm always here to listen and offer a supportive shoulder to lean on.
There are things that are going to be slightly different now. I haven't planned any drastic changes to my videos thus far, but there may be some alterations nonetheless. Over the next few months, I'll be focusing on things that give me joy, and indulge in more relaxed and experimental projects. I'll still be painting (which always makes my heart full) and trying out new mediums, but I'll be stepping back from crafting for now since it feels a bit too much. There can be more book recs, since books have always been both my escape route and my comfort place. I'm thinking about going out more, and giving you some sneak peeks on my life outside my studio (but those sneak peeks will still be related to art inspiration and art making. No worries, I have no plans for a plain life blogging 😄). I hope you’ll stick with me on this ride as I navigate my way through my art slump😊
In today's video, I'll also be doing a cozy bookshelf tour and creating a new watercolor painting as usual. I hope it will bring you comfort and inspiration for your own creative projects. Sending lots of love and gratitude to all of you for being a part of this journey. 💖 Hugs, Xenia 🖌️📚✨

Hello, friends! Thank you for joining. It's been a long while since the last time I
talked to you through my videos. But today I wanted to acknowledge a personal matter,
and I figured it may be the right way to do it. In all my years of art making and crafting I've
never experienced a creative block. Being naive I thought that any kind of art struggles always
come from the absence of ideas. And how there can be one when the world is so vast and beautiful,
and there will always be something that captures my attention, something that I may
want to recreate in my art. However, now when I'm facing a creative challenge of my own, I realised
that an art block has many ways of sneaking in. I still have a plenty of ideas. I still have a very
clear vision of how I want those ideas to be brought to life. And starting working on a new
project I always feel a familiar exhilaration. It's just that somewhere midway through the
project I become overwhelmed by self-doubts. Do I create any value? Is there any worth in what I'm
doing? Does it resonate with people? Am I doing it right or well enough? Sometimes I just stop,
because it's easier to leave these questions unanswered. Sometimes I push through, and end
up disappointed, because I indeed didn't make it right. I do know that all these things exist only
in my head. Do they come from the exhaustion, or is it my subconscious telling me that it's time
for a change? I don't know. It may be one of those or it may be non. Now, why I decided to make this
video and share with you my creative struggles. First, I know for certain that everytime any of
us has to deal with physical, mental or creative challenges it may feel painfully lonely. Like
no one in the world can be possibly fighting a similar battle. But I belive that this feeling
is false, and many people can actually relate. And if you are facing a simular challenge I want
you to know that you are not alone. I will not have a magical solution to this problem
since I myself am trying to figure it out, but I can offer support and compassion. Secondly,
you, guys have been a part of my creative world, being with me on my art journey through the years,
and I want to be honest and forthcoming with you. And if there may be a little rain in this
creative world of mine, I want you to have your umbrellas ready. This being said, there may or
may not be visible changes in my videos. As I said I'm still figuring it out. In the next few months
I'll try to focus on things that give me joy and to keep things chill. I will be doing a lot of
painting and experimenting with new mediums, and working less on craft projects since they feel
particularly overwhelming now. But I hope you will be here for the ride and together we will
see it through. Thank you always for supporting this channel, and for being amazing human beings
who shared with me so much of kindness. I'm sending you my love, and I'll see you around!
