Bermuda vs Honduras | 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup Prelims

On a wet and soggy Friday night, get things underway. We are live here from Bermuda National Sports Center. Up and underway and they have lots of history for Honduras, not so much for Bermuda when it comes to Honduras has had no problems with Bermuda. Cross over on the right hand side, a man available and they score off the bat. Kriklo on the board and it's 1-0 Bermuda. For Honduras make it 17. First corner of the night for them. Palma on the delivery that strike goes over the net. Nice drive from outside, great stop by Eve. Full extension with the right paw, he got it out in time. Match by at least two goals. Down right now trying to draw even look to be offside for our official doesn't have a flag up. Good stop by Eve again. Shots right now are 10-1 in favor of Honduras. Decent long ball here but Eve an additional stoppage time awarded. Six again, same time it's happened tonight. Hernandez looking for it. Palma trying to deliver that ball goes off of a foot. Looked like Simmons. Some kind of delivery he has, not his best but it finds an open crease and it's 2-0 Bermuda. Parfitt had a assist earlier in this contest and fortunate to see that ball land on his foot. He tucks it home past Medavar and Bermuda has opened this thing up late in the first half. Kriklo in the first minute complimented by Parfitt in the 44th minute. Second half begins Bermuda with possession trying to make this a three goal advantage. Just poor service there on the return. Hovering back around to the back post a header. Oh my there's one back for Honduras. Chiodo had chances in the opening half with a goal looking for a whole lot more. Eve coming out and he gets stung. We are level in the 64th minute and we are bottled up at 2-2. How about more for Palma? Palma looking for it, back post. Oh it's picture perfect 3-2 Honduras. There's the brace there for Chiodo. It's 3-2 for the roadside. This could be the knockout punch for Bermuda on the delivery. Palma just scales over the crossbar. Quick check, good kick out by Eve. Decisive move by Bengucce. Another corner here set up nicely. Oh it goes off the crossbar. Bengucce bangs it home and this match is over with 4-2. It is all Honduras getting on the board here. More contact inside the 18. Our lead official is pointing directly towards the spot. Martinez and company looking on. Lewis against Medavar takes the left footed shot, tucks it home and it's a one goal difference. Martinez trying to set up the game winning goal and now it's 5-3. Pinto on the board. He came off the sidelines just a couple minutes ago but now the insurance marker seals the fate. Eight goals scored in this contest and for Honduras a gutty performance. They were heavy favorites. They trailed the end of the first half to nothing but they scored five of the next six goals.
