I didn't film anything on the way down from the Volcano. When I got back to the asphalt I stopped for a moment to film the ending to my adventure. Was too tired to even think about setting up the tripod, so I set the camera on the ground and laid down next to it.
Sweet, sweet glorious asphalt.
Traction giving pavement. That's only 13 and a half kilometers, but it was the roughest road
that I've ever tried to ride on. It was horrible. Coming down was a lot better than going up.
I only crashed like three times coming down.
One time because this truck was coming up and he holds his hand out the window and points like
we're going we're going and I'm in this section of road that's more like a trench.
There's nowhere to go and I'm like well let me just throw this in reverse and I'll get out of
your way. Sleepy, tired, dehydrated, so I crashed trying to get out of his way
and then a couple more times coming down but thankfully it was a lot easier than going up.
Coming down I would get to a section a real rocky section and it would it was like I would look at
and go how did I even come up this there's no lines there's no there's no spot that's good
but I'm glad I'm back to civilization. The Kawasaki, it's got some damage on it.
Really tweak those highway bars on both sides it looks like and then one of these fairing pieces
is jacked up too.
But I was really impressed by the Kawasaki did a great job and uh and it uh it owned that little
two-stroke that that started out with me. Here comes a truck they're gonna think oh he hurt
himself yeah I hurt myself all day yesterday. Anyways guys I'm gonna head into town I'm gonna
buy like 12 Gatorades and hook them up to an IV bag stick them in my veins and then I'm gonna go
back uh back to David head back to the house and never go outside again that much I promise you.
Oh boy nice and easy.
