[Music] hey guys welcome to pickleball pirate we're headed down to clear one in orlando florida and i'm pretty pumped up we got henry monado playing mark johnston clifford hey everyone and welcome to the orange shirt they're both professionals and guys if you're looking for lessons they both teach at clear one in the orlando area everyone they coach get astronomically better which is why i'm not getting better because i need lessons so mark johnson just had a nice stink and i know there was some controversy about clifford i'm gonna bring that up later in the show kind of from what i said we got a great dink battle to start out the show [Music] a great dink battle you guys when you dink if you watch them they're really tony and henry are really moving around mark and clifford and tony and henry are not moving much at all so a good dinker really moves the person around and mark johnston hit a great shot but as the time goes on they're gonna probably start to lose those zinc battles so if you're at home playing rec play you definitely want to have you want to dink with purpose you have to have a motive and don't have dead dinks and when i say dead dinks i mean a dank that stands up where someone could take the advantage so we have cliff servant cliff hits a beautiful job we got a dink battle and i'll get you a score guys too team just started beautiful thinking oh [Applause] [Applause] so we have mark servant i believe he said one two one i'll get you a score clifford can move around so quick he's in the near court in the dark shirt and tony's the return was out tony was a phenomenal college tennis player henry was a professional badminton badminton player he coached for the national team of indonesia and um just a phenomenal guy beautiful family that's a great play cliff hit it hard down the middle got a pop-up and mark johnson put it away so it's once 1-1-1 i had the score wrong i apologize guys i'm gonna get emails like i always do two one one so the controversy surrounded clifford a couple days ago i was calling a game and i called clifford a true five-o now some people push back and he said he's not a five oh he's not rated a five-o i say baloney baloney he has the dinkin he has a patience he's the quickest person i've really seen other than gary gold his upside potential is phenomenal and last six months he's gotten some incredible defense so he's a five oh mark johnson's a 5-0 and they're playing against professionals so keep that in mind people so we have henry servin clifford's a 5-0 no doubt in my mind he also started hitting the gym i think he got jealous of me and um yeah he's looking better than me now i don't want to talk about it i believe it's two two one three two so it's three two one mark johnson serving that oh henry usually gets that he's so quick he pretty much can stop on a dime so it's four two one that was not a 5-0 cliff you can't lob pony and we have four two two and i had posted in the pickleball forum and um the post got a lot of heat partly because i had my shirt off in the post when i was playing the game but um it was a good post i got a lot of really good feedback basically i asked everyone is it worth lobbying a really good player and um the response i got was like on two different spheres fear some says yes some said no probably the best answer i got was sometimes but most times no that's such a beautiful shot by cliff and going back to that lob talk guys i think if you're the net and you're dinking and you have a nice offensive top spin lob at the net when the other person is leaning forward that's the best time to use it almost to lob when you're at the net disguising it as a dink using a topspin lob and that would be my best answer so i've watched simone who's the best woman's player in the world play with ben johns and they successfully use the love once or twice the whole tournament maybe a couple more times but no more than that it keeps the person honest and that's what it should be used for i think that's a good answer and i won't post in the pickleball forum anymore without a shirt for my defense it was 92 degrees and it was really hot so tony serbin and i'll get you a score next time i hear it see how much mark is moving and tony and henry aren't really moving at all think with purpose call the score cliff it has to be around 4 4. and you can't miss guys if you're playing in rec play you can't miss returns maybe in singles you can and you can miss some serves and singles but in doubles if you're playing in a tournament you can't miss that especially against professionals mark johnston who's returning he plays with the onyx premiere pro and that's a very nice battle i played with it for a little bit [Applause] and cliff is trying to lob too much so i'm happy i posted in the pickleball forum so i have an answer for you cliff you probably shouldn't be lobbing once every couple games probably look at tony's technique what i would give to have a technique like that on the backhand dink i believe henry just said 542 guys so it's 5'4 so we got you guys a score i'll probably get some text messages but um at least i got you a score four five one mark just missed so it's four five two that's tony's tennis back in some great points this game does one knock on cliff i think he stays back too much he loves he got so good at defense he loves playing it but um you're not gonna win you're not gonna win games against tony and henry saying that so we have five four two [Applause] that is such a nice shot and i was way off on
