10 Beauty Hacks ... You Need to Know!

Hey guys, welcome to today's video. I am Breaking the rules right now and then we're gonna talk about Amazing beauty tips. I'm pretty sure this lip gloss is expired I found it at random in a drawer and I just I had to use it frost smitten Can something bad happen from that? I don't know. That's really beautiful. I've been organizing. I have been getting things together I have been going through drawers that have not been gone through and that was an old gem that I found All right, so we're in the deep end of beauty This video is dedicated to those of you out there that love a good every day Accelerate your beauty your beauty routine make things work better for you tips and tricks. I Love being the person that provides great tips when it comes to looking good Applying your makeup getting the most mileage out of all the things we are already doing. So I made a top 10 list I am sure there will be bonuses within each item that I am about to share with you. I Recently due to my sweet baby Puka shell passing when I was going back in history like trying to find all The videos where he made cameos I kind of went in this weird Avenue where I was like looking at old tip Tuesdays And I'm like, yo, there were so many great tips within tip Tuesday Let me do a top 10 best of let's kind of add in a little bit of Know-how from the future of like how we've adjusted things and I have like my 10 favorite that I still do all Of the time that are not talked about a lot. So let's dive on in Three two one. We're in the shower I'm gonna tell you a couple of things to make your shower a better beautifying experience One thing that you can do is after you turn the water off in your shower You are done. Make sure you're keeping some body lotion in the shower This is a trick that I've done it for years and it really helps everything to seal in and sink into the skin I always like to kind of grab my towel and pat my skin dry, but not completely dry You want some moisture to still be on the skin? then you have your lotion already in the shower and you go ahead and apply that lotion while you're still in the shower where everything can be accepted and Nourished within the skin and it just makes your skin creams oils Whatever you're into using work ten times harder. I am telling you you game changed game changed Also, this is another reason why I love using conditioner for shave cream game changed You want soft silky smooth skin? I try to avoid harsh body soaps and I use a lot of oils shower oils. I use very gentle soap in the shower I shave my legs with conditioner because it just leaves this nice hydration and I always apply moisturizer While my skin is still a little bit damp and a way to remember to do that is to keep your lotion in the shower While we're in the shower, are we washing our hair? Maybe we're washing our hair You should keep a wide-tooth comb in the shower A lot of you guys want to know how do you keep your hair? So shiny like how do you do that? something that I have found that makes such a Significant difference in the shower is to have a wide-tooth comb in there and every time I do my conditioner I kind of take my hair to one side and I'll put the conditioner on my ends and then very gently from the bottom up You don't want to start up here I will comb the conditioner through to make sure that the conditioner is not just plopped on the outside of my hair But that it's really getting raked through the ends of my hair so that it can do a better job and gloss my hair up I want shiny hair. I want silky hair and I want my hair to be manageable when I do go and detangle it You don't want to wreck the hair break the hair So this is a great way to detangle the hair in the shower. I do always see that. Here's the bonus tip bonus tip incoming You want to make sure you brush your hair before you get in the shower and that seems like a useless tip But it is absolutely so important if you go into the shower and your hair is not brushed through and it's already a little bit naughty you're gonna shampoo your hair and then you're gonna like and you're gonna like break the hair and you're gonna have all sorts of Damage that you don't need to be having so keep a detangler I have a drawer next to my shower with like a shower cap and a wet brush in there And I always make sure to kind of give myself like a nice little we love ourselves moment like a nice little scalp massage Which actually by the way, so anti-aging we can talk about that another time But don't be afraid to give yourself like a little self-love a little scalp massage And then what I do again with my wet detangler brush always start at the ends Do not like imagine me getting really mad at you If I see you brushing your hair from the top you're wrecking your hair if you're doing that do not get impatient and do this Whole thing where you're like, oh You know and we can do that. We're in a rush. We're like, ah, you will What even was that just baby your hair baby the hair brush from the bottoms Up bottoms up. Okay Um, so do that before you hop in the shower and then use that wide tooth comb for your conditioner simple thing It's really easy to get in this routine You will thank me later and feel free to thank me in the comments if you try any of these tips I want to hear about it And if you have tips that I am not telling you about that are game changers I want to know that as well. I don't think in all of my years I don't know that this is a tip that I have shared with you guys. There's been a little bit of gatekeeping I want to confess so I love a beauty blender I don't think there is a better sponge to blend in your foundation I've tried them all and I always go back to the Beauty Blender and this tip I want to say it won't work with other sponges. But with the Beauty Blender, it's just so good Alright, so you are going to dampen your Beauty Blender ring the Beauty Blender out if you want to know how like Next level I am about the kind of water that I use on my Beauty Blender I go into the kitchen and I use the filtered water just to make sure it's not like drying things out or drying my skin Unnecessarily because our water here in Texas pretty harsh like you can look this up online and I'm like Oh like the levels are like exceeding this and that for what is reasonably safe If you want to be like a little next level with your Beauty Blenders, you can be I mean you do you so that's what I do But then I take things a step further once it is damp and I have wrung out all of the water I will take fix plus or any other hydrating setting spray and I will spritz my sponge and it will receive the fix plus just a little bit so that when you are Going to press out your concealer specifically like I find that this actually helps your concealer to not crease just that little bit of fix plus that little bit of Hydration on the sponge and then you press underneath the eyes and it just makes everything blend Beautifully, I don't know why this works. A lot of people could debunk it and be like that's all in your head But I feel like it works It's something that I love doing if my under eyes are dry and I just want extra hydration On the skin with the concealer, you know a little bit of the concealer is going into the sponge It's kind of like this back-and-forth dance when you're using a Beauty Blender because it is pressing padding But also soaking in some of the product but then redistributing it and pressing it and it's just all kind of working together If you have that layer of moisture that is glycerin based also kind of going like this with the concealer. It's so good I love this stuff. I'm just like let's just do it right now Fix plus forever. I've tried to break up with you. Dang it. You're just so good. We keep getting back together Okay I did this today and I'm back in this habit and it is a good one and if you have not tried it and you Have combo to dry. This is not for my oily people out there combo to dry only Mix a drop of quality facial oil in with your foundation. It will make Everything blend so beautifully you're gonna powder the face and everything's just gonna look creamy and covered and like it just all works together and melds together beautifully and somehow Lengthens the wear time of your foundation try it out If you haven't it makes a world of a difference This is really great If you're using a full coverage product as well and you want to thin it out and have a little bit more Blend ability it will do that for you But really it just hydrates the skin so perfectly and gives you that creamy Complexion that to me is very noticeable when I do this trick versus when I'm like, yeah, I'm not in the mood I don't want to do the extra step like I can tell so that is a great one Especially for dry skin but combo to dry can have success with it as well Safe to say we all know I love a good velour puff I use velour puffs to apply wet products dry products highlight I use this little guy and I think it is just like the best to get around the nose to get underneath the eye This is a great tool and I always have them on hand now something that I do on the go is I load up my velour puff. So what I will do this is some huda beauty powder right here I will literally go in the lid and Circularly rub the velour puff in there kind of pat it down to make sure stuff's not flying everywhere and If you have too much on it, you can actually kind of go like this and a little will fly off But the idea is to have just enough on the puff that you can throw this in your makeup bag and if you're getting oily throughout the day, you can just kind of tap a little off your hand and you can go in and Freshen up that face This works like a dream if you are out and you want, you know You want to look nice in your photos like people are taking pictures. It's flash photography time You're out on the town and you just you need a little something but you don't like you don't want to are you gonna bring this? With you. No, you're not. Could you put this in your pocket even I've done that people are probably like you get powder in your jeans Well, guess what? We can wash them. Um, sometimes you just got to do what you got to do You know what? I'm saying or like I have a teeny tiny purse That's like this big that if I have to choose I'm like we need a gloss We need a little mini something for lashes in case those fall off because that's important and we need something for shine so I always Always have one of these if you're at home and your makeup is starting to look a little weird and you're like Around the nose. I'm getting oily on my chin. I'm getting a little oily Oh, what's going on here? But my skin looks good everywhere else and I don't really feel like messing with my makeup look and ruining the whole thing by over Applying product. I'm here to share with you an og tip that I still use to this day a crease brush for oil control purposes Make sure it is clean what you are going to do. You're just going to swirl now This is something I learned selling mineral makeup bare minerals. I was a I always say I was the counter manager I was the assistant counter manager Swirl tap buff so you can actually get product inside of a brush by Swirling the brush in circular motions. So this is really helpful just to get product loaded up in the brush Tap off that excess and if you want to detail Degrease the face you can now get in those harder to reach areas And if you were just oily in a specific area Problems are solved You're looking fresh and good and you haven't glopped on a ton of powder Everywhere because for some reason and I'm guilty of this back in the day myself I used to think like if I'm a little bit oily in my t-zone that for some reason I need to powder the whole Thing you don't less is more use your brushes how you see fit I use brushes and all different types of ways I use my brushes as my tools and what makes sense to me like I will even take a flat brush if I'm doing Liquid lipstick and I want to really thin things out. I will sometimes use a flat eyeshadow brush Just make sure you're washing your brushes if you're using them for different parts of the face It can be a great thing to explore something that will work better for you Than what is just already marketed as this is only an eye brush or this is only For the face or the you know, you know what I'm saying? Okay, let's go back in time to one of my favorite tip Tuesdays We're gonna have a flashback of me standing in front of my freezer with velcro curls in my hair I still swear by this tip if you are in a rush and you want your hair to set I always use thermal velcro rollers. Let's start there. There are different types of velcro rollers You want thermal because they are going to take that heat like if you aim heat at your hair They're gonna heat up a little bit like a hot roller versus just your typical velcro roller will not so get thermal always I will link below my favorites But I will blast my hair with some heat after I've set my hair and if I'm like guess what I don't have time But I want volume. I want everything to set perfectly. I want even a little bit of shine. This can help with shine I will open my freezer and I hope you guys think of me often when you Open your freezer now, you just imagine me like with my head in there I will literally very carefully kind of get as close as I can to a Shelf and I will just kind of like count to 30 or whatever until I can kind of by the touch feel that everything is Cooled down you take those puppies out Your hair is set like it is so set It will have volume for days the way I found out about this trick is I sang as a child the National Anthem at an ice show literally in ice skates and a skating dress and I you know had to skate out and sing the National Anthem and they Were trying to do my hair really quickly with I think it was hot rollers But still like they didn't have time to set or cool down so they're like walk in here and it was like a walk-in freezer and so like I Literally walked in and I had an adult with me and we like waited for a couple minutes and came out and they took the Rollers out and let me tell you from the time. I was like this big. I have been watching every single beautifying Element Idea like thing that the professionals would do like I've been taking mental notes from the time. I was a kid I'm like, well that worked. Yeah, I'm gonna do that for the rest of my life So that was the takeaway from the ice show and it's something I've been doing the rest of the way since we're gonna talk about Blasting things with heat do this on low heat, please. Don't get crazy We don't need to melt things But if you have a stubborn lip liner or eyeliner, you can literally pull out your hairdryer put it on low Blast that puppy and it's gonna get much creamier Which is really nice if you have a very firm lip liner and you almost want to turn it into a lipstick Consistency heat will do this So then you can kind of line and almost like really fill it in and it's nice and juicy and I love this technique Also, it is great for eyeliners that are too firm You know Our skin on our eyelids are very sensitive and I'm not telling you to make this like hot to the touch where you're gonna burn Yourself, so don't go crazy always test on the back of your hand the heat to make sure it's safe to go in your eye But it's really beautiful if you don't want to be dragging the eyelid causing further aging Irritating your eyelid It's nice If you have that firm pencil that you want to use to just warm it up a little bit and the hairdryer is the way To go. I've also been known to set my makeup with low heat from a hairdryer I personally find it works better than just a regular fan. The heat makes all of the different just ingredients and emollients and all the creaminess come out of your makeup and then you can almost like Repowder it a little bit and then set the face again Like I work in layers like I literally go in layers. So I do the full face. I spray my setting sprays I blast with a little bit of heat and then I look in the mirror and I'm like, okay We're a little creamy dewy I just want to hit right in the t-zone make things just a tiny bit Locked into place again, and then I'll even sometimes do another hit of setting spray Just like one mist instead of drenching and drying off and that will seal your face for the day Bonus tip this is a bonus tip and this is from James I was like working on all of my tips and he's like, you know what? I saw on Instagram and I thought it was the cutest thing He's like here's a tip that I think is really helpful And the tip was I don't know who to credit because I just saw this and I was like, you know what? It's pretty good. Let's talk about it. I Mean, is there a brush that I'm willing to sacrifice? I don't know. Okay. I have not tested this tip out This is a we're trying it in real time I have some breakage up here that kind of drives me a little insane sometimes So this would be great if you have a ponytail and you have pesky flyaways Sometimes velcro rollers will cause a little bit of that breakage there. Anyway, we all know what it is breakage you're going to spray your makeup brush and So that you're not like over Wetting the hair and flattening the hair you can just oh that worked Yo, I love a good beauty hack, okay Actually, is this working? I think that worked. I got a lot of those flyaways. You know what I'm saying? To be continued on that one I'm gonna have to play around with that one a little bit more But I thought that was kind of you know It kind of goes hand in hand with using your makeup brushes However, you want but be sure to wash them if you're gonna douse them with hairspray would be my piece of advice I hope you loved those beauty tips.
